It really sounds funny to most of you that Alaba market may be shut. I have my reservations about the way Gov Fashola is going about this revenue drive. Well, i am expecting more closures, that's the truth. Daleko market, Oju oye market, Idumota market, Oke-arin market, etc. When all these markets and more have been shut down, then we can all sit down and talk. |
guys, i think i gotta agree: Eminem is HOT! His rap is deep, his style is something else. Yeah, i also got to admit, the likes of Kanye West and Jay Z are very good and will give him a run for that spot anyday. But right now, Eminem is No 1. |
i have to agree. I AM BORED. ![]() |
Simple Answer. Two words. "NOT RELEVANT". |
Am feeling you my brother! Cool fm aint gonna be so cool again. I will miss dan foster for real. |
I believe the Federal Govt overreacted. Period! Channels is a responsible organisation, even when the story broke and they found out that the source was faulty, they promptly issued a retraction. The SSS overdid it. Am apalled at the whole thing. Its a sad day for press freedom and democracy in nigeria. The President's media managers have made a mess of their jobs giving the opportunity for the public to speculate on rumors and half-truths. Please i use this medium to call on those concerned to release those in detention. |
Does the phrase "White elephant project" ring a bell? ![]() Seriously, its a good experimental idea but wrong timing and wrong environment. Wrong priorities i dare say. Dont crucify me but thats my take on the issue |

But i have been thinking, have you guys noticed that the quality of our music videos have increased dramatically? The special effects, graphics and all make it a beauty to watch, I mean they re comparable to music videos anywhere in the world. MY POINT: the technology is accessible to nigerians: artists, etc MY QUESTION: Why have the nollywood filmmakers not tapped into this? |
@Sisikill Thanks o jare! it makes sense to me now, ![]() Anyway i have promised myself to stay away from watching such things, i mean people travel to different locations just to shoot movies, while our people sit in a room and parlour and shoot part 3 of their "movie". It s just so unfair. Actors in hollywood, run through fire, exert themselves physically and call that a movie. While the "nollywood breed" sit in mansions, cross legs, drink five alive and also expect to be classified as movie stars. Abeg, i don tire for them. i don give up hope on them. |
Help! Movies Driving Me Crazy! I recently watched a nigerian home video(hereafter called "drama" for that is what they truly are!) titled BLOOD APART. The dateline for this movie is 2007, an age where i expect a lot of thought and reason to prevail. In it, Jim Iyke actually sends a "maiguard" to buy him H2s04(acid) and when that arrives, he proceeds to drink acid with a straw thereby committing suicide. Imagine drinking concentrated sulphuric acid with a plastic straw without it melting! I think somebody needs to start banning these moronic movies before our IQ depreciates beyond redemption! |
I think Nigeria stands a better chance of winning. Our players are quite fast,(contrast that with the super eagles), they actually run for balls and fight hard to win midfield battles and snap loose balls. They have the grit neccessary to go against the argentines. However, like someone commented, they have to be extra careful with the tackles, i trust the argies to trip and fall into the penalty area at the slightest puff. Most importantly, we need to go for the kill early. create the chances and TAKE THEM. |
Banks and their hidden charges! ![]() What gets me upset with most banks is that they dont give their customers all these details. Thats why am so wary of them. My principle is, tell the client ALL about the business he wants to transact or the product you are offering and let the person make a choice. It smacks of dishonesty. i have learnt my lesson long ago, i dont take banks and their products/services for granted. if when they print something as routine as your statement, please go through it! As for INTERSWITCH and co, well, it cant be their fault! ![]() Its a monopoly. We had it coming. Perhaps its time to crowd the banking halls again. |
oh women! ![]() |
yeah like the other guy said, its about quantitative and verbal reasoning. But you have to be really fast. Time is of the essence. For the math, focus on your statistics, interpretation of graphs and all that stuff. A lot of the questions come from graphs and statistics. Remember to be fast. As for the english, piece of cake, (if its your element). When i took that test, i had a 97 in English and 37 in math(my waterloo, was very rusty). You will need to score averagely well in both subjects to make it to the next stage. You get your results same day about 15mins after the test. Forgot to mention, test is computer based. pencil, paper and a caluculator will be provided for your rough work. all the best. At the interview, if you are not at entry level, negotiate well o! |
How hard is it for one to make a mid-career transition to banking? say, you have been in pharmaceutical sales for like 5yrs and still under 30. Which banks would u recommend? |
Africans killing africans. Racism takes on a new meaning. food for thought reallly. |
that was really so touching, now you are gonna make me cry, For real, it touches my heart, i wish a lot of these busy execs would read it. I once knew a woman, a banker, who didnt know which class her 7year old son was in. it was very embarrasing for all of us. |
"SUPER FOWLS", very catchy name, i like it. looks very cute on them given the circumstances. With such a pet name we wouldn expect them to do so much in competitions, i mean lets face it, what can a chicken, (sorry,er, i meant fowl) do. Well, my sister thought of a "wicked name". but i think i prefer yours. well, just for the record her suggestion reads: "SUPER VULTURES" What do you think guys? |
the idea of jailing drivers caught for " one way" smacks of hypocrisy. the greatest law breakers are those who made the laws in the first place. Imagine being arrested for a one way offence in an area like yaba where readable road signs barely exist! its really pissing me off. craZy **** |
glad i hit upon this thread, very interested in the exam. but i would like to know wats the career path like? care to educate a bit? thanks. |
i think the story should be substantiated first. For now it will probably be best to reserve my comment and later comment my reserve. |
I think this story should be substantiated first, before one addresses the situation. For now i feel its best to reserve my comment, later, i will comment my reserve! ![]() So please go easy with the insults and all. |
Nice post. Been thinking of a business that holds my passion. I love reading, learning and that sort of stuff and i have been thinking along the lines of starting a mobile library. People can access books by sending sms or the click of a mouse and we will have it delivered. Been working on the idea but the overwhelming majority of people whose idea i sample seem not to be enthusiastic about it. Many say it wont be profitable. How many people read? How can you get folks to read? and then part with a fee? ![]() Sometimes i like to approach this issue of business from that angle of passion, interest. Your perspective is very pragmatic, well done. Will review it. |
In nigeria, what does the career pathway of an intending PR practitioner look like? How relevant is NIPR? Someone please shed some more light please, |
ok o! Webmaster and im dress code, i don hear! |
its a serious issue. Extraordinary, any remedy? Any ground-breaking research on causes, predisposing factors etc? |
@Bob James, i totally agree with you. 628million and many other 628millions "unnoticed" could have made a difference. |
Sometimes you have to wonder, what is 'entertainment'? It has become a pseudonym for a lot of pollution we see and hear these days. My view: the program is not decent. One has to be very careful what he or she allows to enter into his eyes and ears. It can deposit evil seeds in ones life. |
now finally, its about time, the chicken comes home to roost! ![]() |
