Car TalkRe: Brand New Ford Focus 2014 Transmission Overheating by onyx79(op): 7:15pm On Nov 08, 2014
Denn:
It is unfortunate they gave you that kind of response.

A car should be able to survive 10 hours of continuous traffic anywhere in the world.... Artic or Sahara.

The car has a defect and should be rectified.

Send your complaints to them via email and ensure you document all discussions.
Thanks Guys! Will certainly engage them through legal means and the Consumer Complaints Commission. They can't just get away with such explanations. Why sell such a car in Africa if it's not suitable?

AutosBrand New Ford Focus From Coscharis Defective: "Transmission Overheating" by onyx79(op): 4:29pm On Nov 08, 2014
My 5 month old Ford Focus purchased from Coscharis shows "Transmission Overheating" while in traffic. This happened when the car was 2 months old and now in its 5th month, the same problem has crept up. After 2 visits to the Company workshop, the feedback I have is: " it is a function of how you drive...that's the way the car was made, you need to shift gears to Neutral each time you are in traffic beyond 5 minutes." Meanwhile the Ford Edge or Explorer don't have the same issues. I drive my Honda and other cars the same without these transmission issues. Why Ford Focus? Coscharis is not prepared to make any amends. So, have I made a grave mistake buying this car? Anyone out there with the same issues? How can I get compensated for this??

Eko oni baje, never cool

Why always Lagos?!
You've got a problem with Lagos?! Find the shortest cut to your village grin cheesy grin
With comments like this, I know how big your mind is. And how small your brain is. Good timing for the Seafood festival, you could do with a few more fishbrains.
PoliticsRe: Okada Accidents Have Reduced By 95% In Lagos – Kayode Opeifa by onyx79(m): 6:47am On Nov 11, 2012
digitalnaira: Are powerbikes banned from the highways as well? Cos I'm thinking of acquiring one in january.
Please feel free, when you pay 95% taxes on your bike, your eye go clear.
PoliticsRe: Okada Accidents Have Reduced By 95% In Lagos – Kayode Opeifa by onyx79(m): 6:45am On Nov 11, 2012
I only hope the people decide to vote out ACN in the next elections. The overall policy direction of Fashola is too high handed. The Party must suffer collateral damage for his actions since they cannot call him to order. (Am not talking ban on Okada, just to note)
PoliticsRe: Do You Read/Listen To Presidential Condemnations Of Boko-Haram? by onyx79(m): 1:14pm On Oct 29, 2012
They will soon need a Special Adviser to come up with Synonyms to describe BH attacks! Rubbish.
Govt is CLUELESS. Sad. All talk, No Action.
PoliticsRe: PHCN Official Electrocuted In Ado-ekiti by onyx79(m): 7:18am On Oct 19, 2012
Occupational Hazards I agree but PHCN must work to ensure Safety of its staff, issuing and insisting on use of personal protective equipment. A full investigation should be carried out and preventive actions documented and implemented
PoliticsRe: From The Governors, Fashola Is The Only One Fit To Be President. by onyx79(m): 9:41pm On Oct 13, 2012
I totally disagree. Fashola is the WRONG man for the job. You talk of "innovative", his recent policies ought to convince you of incipient dementia
FoodRe: Golden Morn Unsuitable For Children Under 3 Years by onyx79(m): 3:27pm On Oct 13, 2012
My 2 year old loves Golden Morn, no adverse reactions or any health scares. Same for my neighbour's son who was essentially weaned on the product. I see nothing wrong with Golden Morn!

PoliticsRe: 3-year Jail Term Awaits One-way Traffic Offenders In Lagos. by onyx79(m): 3:21pm On Jul 14, 2012
It is all hypocrisy!
Drive one way, heavy penalty. While looters run free..misplaced priorities. The Lagos State Govt should focus on other meaningful ways to cope with traffic issues.

Not sure if the pros outweigh the cons of having them on the highway.
but instinctively it feels like it would be preferable to have them out on duty.
Let us see how this plays out,

PoliticsRe: Lagos State Governorship Debate On Stv by onyx79(m): 11:30pm On Mar 28, 2011
i thought most of the candidates were unprepared.
Most of them were largely incoherent, Dosunmu was quite different  but unconvincing.
the APGA candidate was clearly a disaster.
the opposition in Lagos are not a match for Fashola.
This is a wrap for ACN.

PoliticsRe: Youth-Centred Presidential Debate On Channels TV @ 7pm, 25th March by onyx79(m): 5:45pm On Mar 22, 2011
You cannot ignore the credibility of the upcoming debate given the profile of the panelists. Any candidate ignoring an invitation to such a platform is certainly not making an informed decision. i think the voice of the people is crystal clear on this.
PoliticsRe: Dbanj Interviews GEJ On STV by onyx79(m): 5:13pm On Mar 22, 2011
I think it was a wrong move on the part of D'banj. Gauging the current scenario of events in the political scene. i think he came off the encounter worse off. My fear is we are "blessed" with such a short memory, in no time, we may just forget what his leanings are.

PoliticsRe: Soludo: Obama’s Energy Policy, Threat To Nigeria by onyx79(m): 2:48pm On Jan 22, 2009
Oil or not, we should as a nation be forward looking. We ought to have taken these steps since. I agree its time to get back to agriculture. Our leaders need to demonstrate the will to get this done and not just mouth platitudes.

Car TalkRe: New Helmet Rule In Lagos by onyx79(m): 1:26pm On Jan 10, 2009
My take on this is that this is all cosmetic surgery.
A lot of action and motion on things that are the least of our worries. This is what it means to major in minors and minor in majors. There are a lot of desperate, foundational issues affecting Nigeria as a nation, and a helmet is where to begin?
Talk about expending efforts in the wrong direction. Doing a right thing at an awfully wrong time. I rest my case.
