All organisms share same ancestors, hence our genetic similarities. do not forget that single cells divide indefinitely till necrobiosis, now here is the logic: One progeny of this single cell might have a mutation which will make it different from others, other progeny might experience the same thing, hence, multiple species from a single sources. it is called claudistics!!
