The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Poverbs 11v 3 |
Walelavender:It is a clear sign that the two concrete works are not properly bonded. The slab is settling at a rapid rate than that of the kerbs / 'retaining wall'. If you observe the detachment (it's not really a cracking in the truest sense). If you observe it for sometime and notice it's not detaching further then you could just pour a binder in between like a cement slurry. |
segcymoor:Thanks bros. |
My dear, do everything possible not to give in to the wiles of the devil and the temptations to defile yourself over accommodation or any reason for that matter. I have some mini flats in Gwarimpa. One of them would be vacant in may ending. How I wish you could get a makeshift arrangement till then. So I send you the keys then |
godson36:Please contest. I will be among those to Bankroll the campaign. This nation can be better than this and must be better. We the youths need to support youths who will retire all these current crop of politicians whether in PDP and APC and APGA etc But please do not allow revenge to be a motivation factor |
Responsible Leader. I wonder why the youths fight each other dirty online and offline over a public office holders |
The Nigerian spirit will always excel anywhere. Whether Hillary Trounces Trump or not |
As the PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA he should listen to their plea. Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere! |
Those of you who are apostles of "Focus on the message and not the messanger". Let me ask you: If there is a man in your neighbourhood who has impregnated many young girls. Then one day he knocks on your door that he has a message on sexual purity to teach your daughter or sister, will you gladly welcome him to a private meeting with her? Or chase him with cutlass? ![]() Likewise a man who has our billions of naira stashed in different countries as investments for him shouldn't heap blames on the old man who travels upandan to retrieve the money back to Nigerians the rightful owners |
Happy birthday the Asiwaju of Yoruba land. Long life and prosperity. |
A Trump is needed to Whip the US to economically. And the same people shouting his praises now will regret it. Quote me in the next 3 years. If you check those that America is owing you will know America owes China, Japan, etc including the OPEC nations which include NIGERIA |
sellmyadiva:I have gone through this thread and i think this 3strike guy is very ready to take this off market. Last time I asked a guy to send an account number and he said 'when you are ready I will send', I wasnt happy with that statement and backed out. How else to show readiness ? I advise you to take pictures of your land and flood the thread if you haven't sold yet. Or ARM also doesn't allow snapshots? |

melakes:I hate cracks in buildings with holy passion. However the only thing I like about cracks is that the position and pattern of cracks is what is used to determine the nature of structural failure a building is facing. So for a bungalow like this facing settlement as you said, I just can't understand why they didn't do ground floor slab. I can saw with utmost certainty that the entire foundation was made of blocks on mortar blinding. Which means that they hope to just screed from room to room without any concrete 'German floor'. There are many solutions to this issue. But the best is to strengthen that block foundation. It is evident to the owner that the soil there is too weak to bear a bungalow. If this strengthening is not done, many other parts that look good now will also cracking especially after people pack in. To start it, you need to take down a significant portions of the wall. Every surgical operation requires temporal pain to avert permanent pain. |
@Slymonster If you want to conceal your water and waste pipes you can do that in 2 ways: Running them through he blocks or passing them in a recessed duct covered with aluminium cover or any detachable cover for maintenance. In the case of blocks, you can achieve that through use of appropriate size of blocks. For instance 4 inches pipe that conveys heavy sewage cannot be buried in a 4 inches block. To pass through 6 inches block even requires skills from the artisans. Because it enters comfortably into the 9 inches block. When i came to Benin to check a project for my in law last year, I discovered that they don't usually like to use 9 inches for all the external walls as is done. So in that case, you could incorporate a recessed part of the building to run your pipes and covered up. When i have the chance I will sketch what I mean and attach to this comment. Or simply chat me up on WhatsApp 08070809889. |

Excuzeme:If you know me, who do you know me to be? Lies only thrive when those who known the truth shut their mouths. That not withstanding. I don't need anyone's testimony because no one can do anything against the truth but for the truth. |
@ One4me I have never done any Soil Test for anyone except one Nairalander who is a Military Officer. In that case self, I simply recommended a Soil Expert who did it and gave him the result. I don't do soil test because it's not my line. I am a Structural Specialist!! Verify from the people that did that Soil Test in Iwaya site: TEMSHO KONSULT LTD (RC:1092929) 5 ODEBIYI GATE OFF HARUNNA OGBA IKEJA, LAGOS TEL: 08179712762, 08032269203 Email: temshokonsult@gmail.com t.falana@yahoo.com You are nothing but a bitter hater who is hell bent on tarnishing others thinking that you only rise in life when you pull others down. From Nairaland alone I have been a structural consultant to more that 500 people have have personally built a great number of houses. Outside Nairaland I have executed significant number. If you have substance, write the address of the site and the name of that client and give pictures for all to see. |
sukkot:Many clients most times do not believe in using professionals. They attach great value to quacks and to finishes than to the right professionals and the structure itself. Nigerian Professionals are amongst the best. It is not an easy feat to read engineering for instance in a Nigerian university and pass. However, it is always good to use a specialist for each aspect of the work. Don't use an Engineer to do the architecture and don't use an Architect to do piling. |

People can be so engrossed on the happenings on this earth that they forget that there is eternity. Truth is that whatever happens on earth is a shadow of the spiritual. In the physical world, politics is all about how people ascend to and descend from power. In the spiritual, it means how Christ or Satan ascend or descend from being in control of a life, family or territory. You have a vote. If you vote for Christ you get peace and righteousness, but if you vote for Satan, you get oppression and wickedness. Those who vote for Christ get elected with Christ to reign for eternity. Hence the bible call them the ELECT. The physical is a shadow of the spiritual. Choose today if you want to be engrossed in the shadow or operate from the real realm of the spirit. |

redcliff:In Nigeria where Dangote got the same honour that only Vice Presidents get? Here Capitalists who have no long standing record of rendering SELFLESS services have honours so why won't Seun whose website has given so many youths a voice get? |
DEAR MR INEC CHAIRMAN It is only your tenure that we heard the word 'inconclusive' elections. Your Inconclusiveness of electoral processes has caused terrible tensions around the country and caused deaths of many lives. My state of Kogi is a case in point where your inclusiveness has made the gubernatorial issue to remain Inconclusive till now. I advise you to conclusively organize yourselves or else your tenure will end inconclusively soon. -OPALUwa |

Politicians don't learn. When Obj put Yar'adua thinking he can remote control him. It backfired. When Obong Victor Attah forced his way to install Akpabio his in law on Akwa ibom, the two didn't see eye to eye for 8 yrs. When Asiwaju denied his political godsons like Afikuyomi, Jim Agbaje etc to install an unknown Fashola, they parted ways somewhere along the line. When George Akume rigged his predecessor into office, little did he know that the same gentle eyed Suswam will kick him out of PDP. When Ameachi forced his Chief of Staff Wike on GEJ to be made minister so as to have his eyes in Aso rock, no one including myself would believe that the same Wike would cause him to pack into APC. So I laughed when Kwankwaso decided to make his deputy who was as a father to replace him. I knew that the was going to be fire on the mountain |
