Acute Kidney Injury, not infection. Also known as Acute renal failure. AKI secondary to what? AKI isn't enough as a diagnosis.

There's no need to buy blood it's a criminal act. What you do is go to the blood bank and ask them to loan you the pints of blood needed just that it must be replaced. O negative is a very scarce blood type so only the blood bank or NBTS can help out.
the blood bank said O negative isn't available and the option is to go get it from outside.
we have been able to replace blood we got from the blood bank. twice have they been able to gey us O negative.
he has been stopped from taking anything protein .
we cant even afford 25k to get two pint by tomorrow morning

HealthRe: HELP! Losing My Nephew To Kidney Infection by opeano(op): 6:17pm On Dec 16, 2016
We have just been asked to get two more pint of blood for him, so far, he has taken about 8pints and his blood level is still at 19. Doctors said they might need to send him to haematology department saying they dont know why blood is breaking down in his body. worse scenario is that he is O negative blood type and only his dad has it in the family. getting funds to Buy blood is another problem. attached is the latest blood prescription and the latest test we had

Now this is serious.....

I just read through the article and all comments, and I found that they have done the third dialysis now..... (Dialysis is not a test tho)

Your nephew has end-stage renal disease.... The yellow eyes could be from liver disease (likely malignancy that have also metastasized to the kidneys) or a complication of massive blood transfusion....

Renal transplant is the gold standard.....

The Nigerian government has not been fair on us when it comes to health care. We always take a meagre percentage of the budget every year (the government prefer to pay some ex militants than to build and equip better hospitals)

God go help us
Amen.
is there hope for him plz?

The OP said he's in UCH as seen in his first post
It could even be a case of renal shutdown as fluids can no longer be filtered rather accumulating in his system. Visible oedema

My doc, most medical council are just interested in collecting money from its practitioners but little has been done to weed out quacks who have infiltrated the system.

Imagine most of our tertiary centre looking like PHC.
I simply do not understand so much of medical terms. This boy isnt getting better in anyway and source of funds for his treatment is leaving the family with debts by the day.
Dear Nairalanders, we need ur support in everyway.
Seun, pls assist in everyway you can. This boy reads a lot of books claiming he wants to b a lawyer, the first we will ever have in our family, if this sickness doesn't snatch him from us, the father is a retired state worker and the mum is a teacher with OYO state govt. am sure you all know how dire the help we need is.
thanks all for your concern and support

Hello all.
I sincerely need the help and attention of students and researchers here. I am contemplating on conducting a research that examines Students Internet addiction and their mental Health and how it affects their academic performance.
The area I need our help is in helping with information on Universities where Wireless Internet Access is made available to all students, either Free of charge or paid.
I do know about UNILORIN and UNIJOS. Ur addition is needed as soon as possible.

Thanks everyone as I await our contributions
