Oh nooooooooooooooooo |
I so missed Nairaland. My husband was surprised that I watched match with him for 90mins without pressing my phone, not until I told him nairaland has been down for some days, he was like no wonder. Though I missed nairaland I cherished watching the match with him. |
Happy new year pals. seems like i've missed a lot. a very big thanks to everyone for making this thread a wonderful one. @imag5, thanks bro, for your wonderful contributions to this thread. |
imag5: . All you need do is to go on your knees in prayer and also sow a dangerous seed telling God what your heart desire his and coupled it with reading, In this your finals be radical to your book, read like it your last,Set a target nothing less than A in this finals and you will smile mark my words you will smile. I was once in your shoe when I was in school ,imagine making 4.8 as final year gp only, would have made 1.1 let's say the way I was mad in my book in finals I did the same in year1 and 2,though I made a strong 2.1, 4.0 cgpa..cheers@image5, thanks for this, @Ezegozie, i wouldn't have said it any better. all you need is commitment, be serious with your studies, study like u've never done before, set a target for your self as image5 said, like i always did, each semester i always assign A's to all my courses and made sure i worked towards it both spiritually and academically. please dont develop hatred for any of your lecturers, cos if you do, it will surely affect your grade, cos you will lose interest in such course. Also, make sure you attend lectures and on time too, so that you dont miss any impromptu quiz or free marks,do your assignments too, most of us think that these assignments and quiz dont add up, that's a big lie cos they do. Avoid back seats, these our lecturers have eyes, they know students that attend classes and in most of their meetings they discuss students, and it will be a very bad thing if lecturers knows you as an unserious student. This has always been my quote "never let your schooling interfere with your education." Mark Twain. Avoid too much parties if you are the party type, our school is always bubbling with parties but dont be carried away. You wont believe it if i told you that i never attended any party throughout my 4 yrs in school, maybe cos am not the party type. All still boils down to setting a goal for your self. Get fully prepared for an exam, by reading with friends especially the bright students in class, get close to them, ask questions on courses you find difficult, interact and answer pass questions. You need to see my room during exam periods, my friends will carry their bags to my hostel, we study , ask questions and study pass questions at the end we all come out successful, my roomie who wasn't a geologist admired us although attimes we piss her off with noise ![]() i can go on and on.... but my dear it still depends on you cos, genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, you have to work extra hard, is not easy but at the end you will look back and smile. ciao ![]() Hope this will help. Remember "YOU ARE THE BEST OF YOUR KIND, AND YOU CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO, IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT. |
@black_beau. Wow! How did achieve that? |
Nice one |
Ezegozie: No madam.Okay, just wanted to know if things are happening in sch. The last time I was in school was mid november. |
@Ezegozie, have you gone to school lately? |
I vote ph city |
Lovely |
Ezegozie: yea, this graduating set is encouraging. Though their academic prowess is heterogenously distributedI'm among the graduating set, hoping to graduate with a very good result. I chose not to see or accept any negative talk about our lecturers and I must say, it helped me in my 4 yrs in that dept. I fully know the lecturers you might be seeing as sadist, I bet you if you get to know their rules and abide by them, you will excel. |
Ezegozie: The fact that you are a unizik geology student does not obliterate the fact that we have very strict and sadist lecturers. So sad, but to be honest with you, this is the first time am hearing this. This is a public forum anyways, so no need to start mentioning names and washing our dirty linens here. About student graduating with first class and 2.1, I think it depends on the students and not the lecturers. Watch this graduating set, I think you might have a rethink. |
@Ezegozie, I like your inspiration, but I want to make some corrections about Unizik lecturers being sadist, am also a geology student of Unizik, in Unizik, if you write well you score well, no two ways about it. I wish you all the best with your dreams. |
@op, thanks a lot for this wonderful thread. Am a female fresh geology graduate, and I base in ph, please between going for my masters immediately and going for training on a particular course which is preferable. Pls @op can I get your email address? |
