gr8ofnnetwork:All these ur gaslighting narrative will not assist in the growth of LP! If Abure wanted LP to become a proper opposition,he should have had the foresight to listen to those who advised him to do an all inclusive national convention from bottom to top with the all important stakeholders present including the electoral umpire INEC! How can Abure and LP be talking against the misrule of the Tinubu administration when he could not even conduct a simple national convention that was free, fair and credible? Finally,if he believes in his popularity in LP,he and his journeymen should re-contest the same position at another convention though I doubt if that will be possible now considering how he has dragged his little reputation in the mud by his sit tight mentality of clinging to power! |
ElevationD:Exactly! |
The matter of Abure was gone the moment supreme court stated that the lower courts that pronounced him as the authentic national chairman of LP had no jurisdiction to interfere in party matters! In other words,it validates the initial stance of INEC who had refused to recognize Julius Abure as the national chairman of LP because they were not present at the national convention held by Abure at Nnewi,Onitsha! INEC refusal to recognize the leadership of Abure not only invalidates the national convention on 27 March,2025 but also renders any NWC created by him as a nullity! The initial position taken by INEC can be likened to an EPL game between Manchester united vs Manchester city with no referee sent to officiate the game! No matter the outcome of the game,it stands invalid and inconsequential without the umpire! The only way such game can be made authentic is for the game to be replayed with a referee officiating! Hence,The only way for INEC to recognize the LP leadership is for a national convention to be held again with the right things done which is participating and performing their over site functions as an umpire in LP's ward to LGA to state congress to national convention! |
I hope to see them in droves!😁😁 Let them come and enjoy the renewed hopelessness that others have been going through! Atleast they will all be live witnesses to the incompetence and ineptitude of the Tinubu administration with their own eyes not through social media propaganda! |
The song too sweet! I see why nbc ban am😂😂 |
😄😄 This man! He wasted no time blasting Trump polices while he hasn't given any timeline to critique that of Tinubu despite promising to do so more than a year ago! Oga focus on your country that is seriously bleeding due to the incompetence and ineptitude of your friend and stop bothering us with external polices from another country! So many terrible things have happened in this country under Tinubu administration which you have refused to comment on but if it were GEJ,you will start insulting him and his wife! Charity begins at home! |
Tension mixed with excitement! Probably had very High BP! |
mastermaestro:When you don't know about the genesis of a conflict, make inquires! So he should have illegally thrown out Abure without going through the right process? I really believe most of Nigerians like you deserve brutish leaders like Wike! |
yarimo:Where was he when the illegality was fought court? His tenure has been overtaken by current events and have expired! |
The chicken has come home to roast! For Zulum to make such statements about the terrorists,it implies this has been happening for months and he has been lying about bokoharam being dismantled and surrending! If the president was from another party and from the south, they would have made a 2 million match protest! When tabloids were reporting about the recapturing of LGAs in borno state by bokoharam/iswap,the governor claimed the media was blowing things out of proportion! This is what happens when you play politics with the lives of citizens! |
DeeScan:Shey you guys now admit that this his control kind of game will one day cost us! I like Slot but he should change his dull start aka control tact in games esp at anfield! At anfield, opponents need to be harassed and intimidated 20 mins into the game! I hate to say this but this is why many managers still fear Jurgen klopp and are glad to see him not managing any club! His style of play aka gengepress will unsettle any confident opponent! PSG were literally having a field day at anfield and wondered if there was really a fear factor at a stadium that even the best of players crumble! Well let's cut slot some slack...it's his first season and he has overachieved! He will have a lot to learn next summer with possible new recruitments that will help the team compete better next season! For outgoing players,I would love Nunez to stay but it's inevitable that he might leave possibly to a Saudi club or maybe Spain! Elliot still has so much to prove but hasn't been given enough games! Jones is a Scouser...he will likely stay and fight for his place! Gomez is a versatile player and Slot will need him at specific periods in the season! Endo will likely leave but I'm happy that he will definitely get an EPL title! He is one player that Slot failed to see his immense value in the squad! Kelleher will likely which is alright considering that he needs to be number 1 in another club! Slot needs a DM,a LB possibly a Kerkez or Robinson, and a striker! |
Silentgroper:I have always defended Darwin even when U guys gave up on him! He will likely leave by the summer but if he pops up with goals like these from now till the end of the season, slot may have to ask him not to leave! I like the fact that he admires Darwin just like klopp! Well everything dey Darwin hand! |
DARWIN NUNEZ! while U are screaming his name for rescuing LFC,also attach him as a klopp boy! |
Silentgroper:Please get a better eye tester! Conor could not have done what TAA did today! |
Silentgroper:Conor doesn't have what it takes to get Arnold's assist number! If You say he is a better defender man for man than TAA,the may be right! Also know that Trent wasn't even a defender as he has played all his teens as a CM or AM! These are two different players with their strength and weakness! Conor may surely be right sided defender but we should not expect him to get those assists like TAA! |
Silentgroper:He is ready for the first team but he should not be rushed or pressured to deliver but the guy is a potential 9 if he can stay fit and keep improving! There is a likelihood that Nunez may leave in the summer which will be an great opportunity to prove himself but he would need some serious haircut! |
Silentgroper:Conor Bradley is not a replacement or upgrade for TAA! It's even preposterous to even think of it considering TAA has the record of being the defender with the highest assist followed by Robertson! Conor is a good defender no doubt but does he have the assists or experience of TAA? Stats show TAA has contributed to about 50 to 60% of Liverpool goals this season! Now let me come to the issue at hand which is the contractual crisis that doesn't only involve TAA but VVD and Salah! How can club officials allow these three players esp TAA get to this stage of their contract without offering them contracts as early as mid 2023? Just look at how they have handled that of Salah and VVD? It's obvious that they all want to stay but the club officials are being slow about it! Now the club handlers are trying to use the media to force TAA to sign a contract extension when the money isn't right making it seem like he doesn't want to stay at Liverpool! We all know Real Madrid esp when they want a player, they will go to any length using media forces to make it seem like TAA wants to leave while the reality could be different! Let's wait and see what happens but the club is at fault not TAA! |
All these real Madrid fans are sore losers! When Ur team was beaten black and blue by a youthful barca team inspired by yamal at the Santiago bernabéu,was Vini jr not part of the team that played that day? So what about the 1-0 loss to Lille I. in the UCL with the complete squad? U guys should take ur large L and waka! |
A 'born again' party with okezie ikpeazu the kerosene provider as their chief pastor is the biggest joke I have heard today! After embezzling and ruining the state coffers for 24 years, they are just realizing that they were sinners and have now repented!😄😄 |
'If we reduce the purchasing power of the people,we can further slow down the economy...' Which of the following president of Nigeria made this statement? A.Asiwaju bola Ahmed Tinubu B.Olusegun Obasanjo C.Goodluck Azikiwe Jonathan D.Buhari |
Ebubu2:The LGA chairmen can take him to court but they were actually installed by the governor! |
U claim to be sympathetic to the plight of Nigerians but your foot soldiers keep inflating taxes! Well he said it before the election that his objective is to widen the tax net and reduce the purchasing power of Nigerians and some dundees were busy applauding him! |
FatimaAbubakar:It will not work until both national and state electoral commissions are totally independent of the FG and state governors! Why should one expect the LGA elections to be credible when the state independent electoral commission is financially subservient to the state government? How do we expect credible elections in the country when INEC officials are selected and appointed by the president who belongs to a political party? |
Ezewuzie01:Everything is wrong with the bill and your analogy can be likened to an SS2 student bullying an SS1 student because the SS2 student was initially bullied by an SS3 student! If the federal is doing same to the state through ECA,then the states governor s should take the FG to court to demand their legit funds...instead of trying to bully the LGA chairmen by demanding their allocation through a fraudulent bill! |
Ebubu2:It hasn't been signed yet! It's still a bill! I am hoping the opposition members in the house of assembly will unite and kick out that bill! |
Una suppose know say soludo nah rogue🤣🤣 |
Protesters should make the following demands to the national assembly with the shortest timeline possible.... 1.removal of the power of the president to select and appoint INEC officials 2.removal of the power of the president to appoint the inspector general of police 3.removal of the power of the president to appoint the chief justice of Nigeria Until these three amendments are addressed and implimented by the national assembly,we should forget about having a free, fair and credible election! |
udemzyudex:They can never be independent as long as the president who is a member of a party is given the power to select and appoint INEC chairman and REC officials as contained in the electoral laws! |
Something way INEC and APC don already change sharp Sharp😄😄 I keep saying this and will not get tired of saying this....until the authority and power of the president to select and appoint the INEC chairman or REC officials is removed from our electoral laws,we will never have a free, fair and credible election in nigeria! Until our electoral laws are amended to severely punish INEC for disobeying their own rules and regulations, there will be no guarantee of a credible election! |
This is total nonsense! This is another avenue to loot funds! The solution is resource control! Every state or region should enhance their own resources and give a certain percentage to the centre! |
The process of appointing an INEC official by the president is indeed flawed and has been a subject of debate among Nigerians. Many believe that this process compromises the independence and impartiality of INEC, making the appointed officials subservient to the president and their party. This concern is valid because the president's involvement in the appointment process can create a conflict of interest. The president, as a member of a political party, may appoint someone who will favor their party's interests over ensuring free and fair elections. Moreover, since the national assembly is subservient to the president, it's likely that they'll rubber-stamp the appointment without proper scrutiny. Potential Consequences: Compromised Electoral Integrity: The appointed official will likely prioritize party interests over conducting fair elections. Lack of Accountability: The official will not be independent enough to investigate and prosecute electoral offenses. Undermining Democracy: The perception of bias can erode public trust in the electoral process and democratic institutions. Alternative Appointment Processes: Some experts suggest that the appointment process should be decentralized, involving multiple stakeholders to ensure independence and impartiality. For instance, a independent panel or council could be established to nominate and vet candidates for INEC positions. Reform Efforts: There have been calls to reform the Electoral Act to remove the president's power to appoint INEC officials. This would help to strengthen INEC's independence and credibility. Overall, the current appointment process for INEC officials needs reform to ensure the integrity and impartiality of Nigeria's electoral system. #Copied# |
Me: If I may ask.....which should come first.....getting the refineries to work first before subsidy removal or subsidy removal first? Meta AI: That's a great question! In an ideal scenario, it would be best to get the refineries working efficiently and effectively first, before removing subsidies. Here's why: 1. Refinery revitalization would increase domestic fuel production, reducing reliance on imports. 2. This would help stabilize the foreign exchange market and reduce the pressure on the naira. 3. With increased domestic production, the need for subsidies would decrease, making their removal less painful for citizens. 4. The government could then use the savings from subsidy removal to invest in other critical areas like infrastructure, education, and healthcare. However, in Nigeria's case, the subsidy removal was done first, without adequate preparation and support for the refineries. This has led to the current challenges with fuel scarcity, high prices, and economic hardship. In hindsight, it would have been better to prioritize refinery revitalization and domestic production capacity building before removing subsidies. This would have made the transition more manageable and less painful for citizens. Thanks for asking!
