Dayo is a graduate. He became a taxi driver after years of unsuccessfully trying to get a white collar job.
Rukayat is a graduate of Kwasu, same university and year just like Dayo. She earns 50,000k at the end of the month.
Dayo on the other hand earns over 100,000k at the end of the month and already has alot of properties compared to Sister Rukayat.

Sister Rukayat feels sorry for brother Dayo for being a taxi driver after all the years of studying to become an engineer. Why is he now engineering a taxi ? little did she know Dayo earns better than she does.
Dayo is sad about his own progress because he is oblivious of Rukayat's earning. He feels he has failed because his thoughts are premised on Rukayat's "soft look".

If one visits his shed where he sells fairly-used clothes, popularly known as okrika, near the Cowbell Plaza, Oba Morufu International Market, Iyana-Ejigbo, Lagos, nothing would have suggested that Saibu Awoyemi is educated. Neither his looks nor the way he dressed suggest that the man has ever been to a higher institution before. Like other traders around him, he jostles for customers, using all manners of business tricks to convince buyers. But not only is he a 1984 graduate of the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State, possessing a Bachelor in Forest Resources, he also has a 1990 Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.

Our correspondent too could not have known that Awoyemi was this educated if not for a clash involving him and one of his customers last Friday. The customer, later discovered to be a policeman attached to the Ejigbo Police Station, Lagos, was owing the 49-year-old man N100, a balance of payment for the N300 worth of pair of trousers he bought from him.

I have been reading this thread with tears in my eyes. I am a poor ma with just my certificate.

I am fraustrated of everything. I am above op's age. I don't 1 naira on me that I can call my own. I can't afford to stay inside when my parent are around or when phcn light bill is to be paid.
What is wrong with me? I am stacked-broke with no means of livelihood. But I see younger folks doing better than me.
