Hi guys, please I'd like to seek your opinion on a bothering issue. WES emailed and said my ECA report would be ready on the 19th of December, considering that time of the year I don't think there would be another draw until the middle of January 2019. my birthday is middle of January and that would see me lose 5 points in my EE profile and if that happens I just might be under the 440 threshold we've seen all through this year. I am thinking of simulating the ECA number and update my EE profile so I can perhaps meet the last few draws for the year and stand a chance to get ITA. Its been a long wait this year to obtain transcript and certificate from my school and have WES take 4 months to accept all documents and still not meet the mark. What are your thoughts? Please advise and thanks. |

seyewest: No I haven't renewed, we had our baby middle last year and the 2 years visa just expired February this year. I plan to go with all the documents to show we paid all our bills and had a zero balance before flying back home. However where my issue lies is the first time we stayed almost 3 months. I'm worried telling them the truth about staying that long solely because we decided to extend our vacation as we were enjoying our stay is not a good enough reason for them. With the new strict laws in issuing Nigerians visa now due to the rising number of people using their visitors visa to cross into Canada, I fear they might feel the need not to renew ours. |

LadyGuinivere: Thanks @LadyGuinivere, ill stick to the main story then: I was able to handle work from there and my wife got an extended leave from work the first time we stayed that long. the second time was to have our baby and ill go with all the documents to show we paid our bills and had a zero balance before returning back. Praying for the best. |

Hi guys, please I have a situation and would appreciate any feedback given. I recently did a drop box to renew my visa, I my wife and daughter and we have been called in for an interview. has anyone experienced this recently? In our previous 2 visits we had stayed just under 3 months on both occasions, the second time was to have our second baby while the first was due to an elongated leave from work that my wife got. I run my own company so I was able to handle the affairs from there. My question is a number of persons have advised that our visa renewal application would be denied if we tell them we stayed almost 3 months due to the leave my wife got from work. Please house, what are your thoughts? I'd appreciate responses and opinions. thank you. |

Flaj: Yes, the company is registered and operates legitimately. I have clients that can provide references evidence of dealing. The business was even registered solely for the purpose of the line of business. However I worry about the chances of getting PPR, I haven’t seen or heard anyone who went down that line and got it, or does anyone in the house knows any? Please share !!! Folks are advising I apply as an employee in the company and the only letter from the company that would carry a name (reference letter) can come in the second share holders name (not a family member so the name would be totally different from mine). Your thoughts? I’m just trying to thread the path that guarantees the end result. Please what are your thoughts? |

ladyAy: Thank you ladyAy, I just worry what the possibilities are, I don't want to risk getting rejected for applying as self employed cos most of the folks I know who did this applied as employee and they say that the self-employed route has very little chances. Do you know anyone who did same and got their PR? Thanks. |

Flaj: Thank you for your kind and honest opinion, I can and should be able to come up with all the above, however I’m not sure what an income evidence is like? Any ideas please? I just don’t don’t know if to go down this line and get rejected or I just apply as an employee in my own company and build a salary account. Folks say it’s the surest thing to do but will being an employee under my company not contradict my application in terms of names? Just very confused. I just want to know the best path to follow so I can start building towards it so I have all the documents available with CRS Score hopefully comes down below my score. Please helps. |

Hello Guys, Good day to everyone on here, I want to start by saying thank you to all the senior members who have shared tips and their experiences in helping us achieve the golden goal of moving to Canada (AMEN). I recently joined nairaland and have been reading about peoples plights and different scenarios with getting the right documentation to process this. I have a few questions myself and I would totally appreciate everyone’s input. I recently wrote my IELTS and got an 8,7.5,7,7.5 for LSRW respectively. My CRS is 419 and I’m hopeful the turn of the new year would bring good tidings. However, my issue lies with the nature of my job. I run a property management and consultancy company (I am self-employed). Everyone I talk to always underline that my chances would be better if I claimed I was an employee with another company and build a salary account instead but I’m second guessing this as it would require that I ‘create’ some documents and keep a pattern of ‘creating’ documents that I might not be able to totally defend wholly. Please house, what are your thoughts about entering the EE as a company MD/CEO? Also do you think my chances are better as an employee or do I stick to what I legitimately do? I’m really confused and not sure what/how to go about this. I would appreciate everyone’s kind and honest input on this. Thank You. |
