Namaster:Please if you want to say something, say it on a subject matter you are very familiar with... Addressing groups "wrongly" in some communities in the US has landed some people in hotwater ... especially if you are not white. There is a reason why intros are pronoun specific especially in some states, I.e "He,Him, His or She, hers, her or They, them, theirs" Now I don't know about the pastor in question, but I know about getting invited for questioning or interview by law enforcement (for instigating a hate speech) about not using the right pronouns to address someone especially if a crowd of people are gathered... this is also inclusive in the army... this I have experienced at a university in Virginia. One of the reasons I am glad Trump won, because he has said many times, that this madness of gender allocation would stop in his tenure. |
Mrwhite09:Mere flesh & blood did not reveal this to you... This answer right here is from beyond |
Omo! The fear of this thing became real when I was using it to boil water in a bucket & I decided to check the temperature of the water... The shock zaaaaaap I got from that boiling ring ... choi! It cannot be easily forgotten. I was quiet the whole day ... I only started talking when NTA showed tales by moonlight that day. |
Love800:Oops ... I meant to type "software" skills Thanks for the correction ![]() |
I have only one word to say... Jakpa!!! |
Albertone:Yes MIS is a good branch ... if you back it up with skills. Consider the IT diploma to be a gateway to a sector, how ever the keys are your skills. eg MIS in the US without serious soft skills to back it up like coding skills or devops skills or Cybersecurity will be an empty effort. So focus on the soft skill you wish to master not just the academics. |
Albertone:The bolded is the reason why another bachelors may be necessary for you... As far as business is concerned especially in the US, you will need some serious IT skills especially since you will be dealing with very highly skilled competitors (the Asian immigrant's & even other Nigerians- with double PhD's) Short courses in data science and IT are good if you already had a tech or related background, so you basically adapt yourself for the US job market with the short courses. However if you didn't have the background, the competition in that domain will be too high for you to cope with especially in some states... except you suddenly become a coding guru and developer with a genius startup plan. Otherwise you have to drastically switch careers like some others have done I.e Nursing... and here is the news flash, yes! you may need to do another bachelors in Nursing, because those CNA short programs won't just cut it for the top paying Nursing jobs. In Europe on the other hand because of language, I suggest people going there freshly to start a bachelors if possible because they literally cook you afresh... however if you go to most European countries at an advanced age, language will be readily become the main challenge I.e French, German, Spanish etc regardless of your discipline and most people get relegated to blue collar jobs... So Chairman unless you are ready for intense manual labour for at least 5years and possibly an educational reset with another Bachelor's Degree potentially... don't push to japa, it may not be for you. |
Albertone:Depending on the country you definitely have to switch majors... I suggest you even switch to a Bachelor's in IT (data analysis) & do a masters in management ... Yes the road is long... but possible |
Elsueno:Yehls oooo ![]() Infact as long as those terrorists are deleted, expunged, eradicated, neutralized, vaporized, atomized, mummified... You can say whatever in different languages on top live transformer... I do not give a damn ![]() |
One thing I can attest to that a high number of guys (including myself) disapprove of, is too much of makeup... Nne, please easy on the makeup, keep it as light as possible because heavy makeup contrary to urban trends is a huge turnoff to men. |
Elsueno:Your reply is quite unnecessary. You shouldn't bother about how a sovereign nation deems it fit to defend itself (that is; except you don't think that Nation is sovereign enough to handle its own defence- of which I would understand where to clasify you) Why would I bother about joining a war that doesn't concern me?? If they kill for their own defence, it's for their legacy not ours... The war that directly concerns you whereby Nigeria thought it best for the protection of its own sovereignty to murder thousands of innocent easterners... what have you said about it? But instead you post hogswash about a war that doesn't concern you... I bet you are also a tribal eastern hater... Oga focus on solving your internal issues by wishing your system adopted an effective strategy that works... |
tundegan:If only the Nigerian army could have swept deserted Niger & Chad border regions that hosted B.H enclaves and neutralized Boko Haram camps earlier, this B.H scourge would have been over a decade ago... but unfortunately the Nigerian army lacked and still lacks that capacity. Please allow a country that has the capacity to secure itself do what they feel is best, they are the ones dealing with the situation. |
Sleekfingers:Bro reason am, his most serious injuries came from Nigerian matches... already, that points to luck. I just think he is not pairing well in the SE team because that guy is a very good striker |
This guy is a really good striker no doubt but when he wears the green colours, luck is always not on his side... I wish him a speedy recovery |
A lil yes and a lil no |
Gerrard59:Bro, when you statistically guage employment opportunities between 200million people and 2.6 million people you get a clear picture of what I mean... Good qualifications or valuable skills and you simply land a job by merit in Botswana for example more easily than Nigeria & it's a fact. Compare the Salaries of teachers in Botswana to Nigeria for instance... I can effectively say in Botswana most government school teachers earn at least 600 - 700usd or 7000 - 10000bwp per month, which government school teacher in Nigeria earns that equivalent by standard?? I mean let's not be sentimental here Naija sucks at the moment in comparison with a lot of African countries on some basic fundamentals, not just security. Don't even get me started on health care systems. |
tensazangetsu20:Oh please... I said keep patriotism aside and let's be real. The only functional resource in Nigeria right now are the people who are very enterprising. Job Opportunities exist but how many regular people can boast of a salary equivalent of 800usd per month in Nigeria?? I can easily call some African countries asides South Africa that have that pay equivalent. There are some African countries that Security is literally almost not needed due to safe systems and law abiding people... is kidnapping not a Norm in Nigeria? I was shocked to my teeth to know that in some very small African countries there is relatively stable electricity... Guy how far national grid?? How can you even do business comfortably in that situation? There are other things to state but let's keep it basic... Many African countries are better than Nigeria on very basic levels |
tensazangetsu20:1. Security wise 2. Electricity stability 3. Job Opportunities (pay parity with usd) 4. Reduced cost of living 5. Basic amenities like running water from your taps:etc 6. Lower corruption e.g straight law enforcement... I am sorry sir even countries like Gabon beat Nigeria hands down, for now in these 6 things I measured ... keep patriotism aside & let's be real. |
Ernesthugo:I never mentioned South Africa... I can't advise anyone to even go there |
Ernesthugo:You are right! African countries have their issues and complexities, but some are outrightly peaceful, a prime example is Botswana... My comment would be, do your research and you would be surprised. A simple litmus test: any African country where especially many "Oyibo's" feel free anywhere as if they are at home... go there. |
Ernesthugo:I can attest that relocating to Zambia for example is well within his budget. To be honest 10M ( 5k+ USD ) would be enough to japa with his whole family to Zambia ...for instance, assuming they are a family of 4. But he needs to do his own research on what his "Restart/Reset Plan" would be and that is something he needs to personally workout, as there are a lot of pathways as far as immigration is concerned. Because that would be his basis for applying for the visas and getting the necessary permits. |
neyoworld247:Yes! Japa is a very welcome idea especially in these times. I would like to inform you however that some African countries should also be considered as they are equally amazing places to hit the reset button e.g Botswana, Namibia, Zambia or Rwanda. The good thing with these listed African countries is the fact that; 1. You will physically blend in. 2. English is spoken in those countries, so there would be no major language wahala /barriers 3. You don't need to use school to japa there... which is convenient, if your head was not for school in the first place, so you could easily focus on your hussle. 4. Relocating the fam would be easier even on the first go.(no need to go first & fam later) 5. Affordable cost of japa 1k USD would go a long way there than in the UK for example. Your funds would just be enough to make you restart life and balance quicker due to economic realities that are not on stark polar ends, however if you decide to go to Europe and beyond... then oga that 5k+ Dollars(10M), will not be realistic ... infact 50-70% of the 10M would be spent on processing(especially if your path is via the study route), Flight ticket and initial accommodation (it gets worse if you don't even know anyone when you arrive). Japa is good o, but if your pockets are not there yet, then find your budget or find your size... don't hussle UK because everyone seems to be doing it. Good luck! |
What people don't understand is that Obasanjo has accepted the responsibility of Nigeria's failure which is why he is actively kicking against nonsense... have you forgotten he is a westerner? |
I thought Brahim Diaz or Salah would be on that list to make it even tough... Lukman has no challenge as it is... |
psucc:Bros, modern day babalawos are driving Benz |
Please don't claim anything about her now... did you guys not say she had nothing south African about her? Abeg It was a Nigerian accent |
The Trump effect... Iran knows what's coming ![]() |
![]() This thing has cracked me up mheeeen ![]() |
Maybe in the past there was a degree of indulgement by the actors/actresses... but even at then it's still a "No" ... to be honest even X rated movies are not that real these days... It's all about Cameras, tech, angles and how many takes that are put together to form the full video To make matters even more complex, these days CGI, and Chroma Keying technology in screen making have become very advanced that someone could hump and kiss a mannequin and it would be portrayed that he is knacking Beyonce. If you have watched Avatar then you will get a clear picture of what I mean... Bro trust me on various levels it's not real. The way WWE successfully deceived you when you were young is how this thing is... It's really not real. except they are amateurs. |
Yankee101:Correction sir! Although Obama inherited wars but When it comes to stoking wars, former president Obama is popular for stoking wars for two presidential tenures fyi, the Obama administration dropped the highest number of bombs post major war era of any US president. In fact his legacy is war riddled. And these are pure facts! https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/jan/09/america-dropped-26171-bombs-2016-obama-legacy Secondly Trump inherited Obama's wars but due to his unpredictable nature, some wars were outrightly suspended for fear of an unknown response due to how Trump could not be politically understood eg the 2017 Syria retaliation for chemical attacks. |
Why further escalate matters?? ?? Mheeeen Trump should do quick & reverse all these pointless Biden arrangements. This war is as good as over, if funding taps are closed, the only option would be to negotiate a truce. As long as the US keeps funding Ukraine with weapons etc this war will not stop because it's provoking Russia to also form dangerous alliances to keep this war going. |
pelusi:It's simple, check her phone, anything strange you discover is what it is... |
