Kobojunkie: 1. Prayers answered by whom? According to God of scripture, He does not answer the prayers of the unrighteous; the pleas/ requests/petitions of the unrighteous are tainted by their sins and rendered an abomination to God who cannot abide unholiness. So, He does not answer the prayers of sinners. However, God said that He delights in answering all of the prayers of the righteous; He grants them all of the desired of their hearts. So, unless you are already holy and righteous, you are best forgetting answers to prayers until you status with God as far as those are concerned is appropriately updated by you through your submission and obedience of His direct teachings and commandments to you through Jesus Christ.
But if you do not believe Jesus Christ is in fact God's Law and Truth, I can see where you will, like the billions of religious folks out there, submit instead to religious rituals and traditions that have nothing to do with God in hopes that you can somehow beat God at His own game in His own Kingdom. My prayers were answered by God, Jesus Christ or the Angels in heaven, I may be unrighteous but the Bible teaches us to forgive our enemies 70 times 7 times a day so I believe God forgives the unrighteous same way. Where in the Bible is this "God said that He delights in answering all of the prayers of the righteous; He grants them all of the desired of their hearts". This is why I wanted a Holy Bible to study it. Meanwhile I'm going to the church today, I will let you know how it goes. I woke up to a text from the church saying they are expecting me 😁😁 Quick fun fact, while I was googling, I found out the LDS church is the second richest Church in the world worth 100 billions, bathe richest church is the Greek Orthodox worth 980 million dollars. This fact will probably add more fuel to the fire on this thread but oh well. |

Kobojunkie: 1. Oh, now it is religion that you respect and no longer the individuals whose names are paraded by the religion like Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc., abi? Anyways, all religions are pretty much the same as they are all man-made systems designed to focus power over the minds and live of the masses in the hands of the minority, the so-called religious leaders. I only mentioned the two major religions initially. I understand your point of view but being a Christian and believing in prayers and when the prayers are answered that gives me faith in my religion. You might say the prayers didn't get answered , that what would have been would have been but I'm not ready to take that gamble. I'm afraid of hell fire so I rather follow the doctrine I was taught just in case. |

Kobojunkie: 1. Well, do you equally harbor the same level of respect for Buddha, Babalawos and other ideas out there as well? Yes my friend. I have Indian colleagues who are Buddhists and I respect their religion, with Babalawos, I don't know anyone who believes in them but if I did and they didn't use it in a negative way to harm people then I would respect their belief. |

Kobojunkie: 1. Jesus Christ said He is the only Truth of God. If you equally believe Mohammed claim, then you are literally saying Jesus Christ lied. This isn't rocket science, my friend. I didn't say I believe Prophet Muhammad's claim/teachings, I said I have respect for him as the leader is Islam. It is one thing to respect a point of view and another to believe in it. |

Kobojunkie: 1. No be me you suppose convince since you more than one admitted that your belief is instead, against Jesus Christ, that no man can know the Truth.
2. So basically Jesus Christ is a liar to you even though you refuse to admit that this is the honest truth what you hold to. Again, religion was designed by men for your kind. Jeez I'm not trying to convince you or anyone. Also where in any of my posts did I mention Jesus Christ being a liar. It is you saying religion is a lie not myself. |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints First Timer Tomorrow by Or11(op): 9:35pm On Apr 22, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: 1. So you actually believe that Jesus Christ who instead said it is possible to know the truth na liar abi? You are already establishing your Bible as a book of lies all by your own self. OK, religion suits your kind well. Yes I believe in Jesus Christ which some refer to as Yeshua. I also respect Prophet Muhammad as the leader of Islam. It may not be the truth but until this is proven with facts, it will be passed on to generations as it as been for centuries and centuries. |

Kobojunkie: 1. Simple! Because God's Law came before your men decided to use religion to hide it. Those religions don't tell you God exists because He existed before they were even imagined of men. Even folks who never had religion knew of God's existence. What religion instead attempts to do is tell you that there way is the way to reach God, and that turns out to be a lie. No one really knows the truth. All I wanted was a free Holy Bible to feed my soul with some faith and this church was the first result on my Google search offering what I wanted. Are you going to say the Holy Bible is a lie too? FxMasterz: Okay. But please do not ignore Google. You'll find reviews on Google too from those who have been members. But, generally, it's a cult and not a church. Thanks for the advice, I read the reviews about the church close to me and most of them were positive, a few mentioned about the church in general being a cult so I didn't take it seriously. |

FxMasterz: Their Bible is different. It's called the Book of Mormons. It's a cult. It's not a church. Oh. I will research more about this. Thanks for this info. |

Kobojunkie: 1. Ah! I see you are one of the gullible ones the religions of men were specifically designed for. Anyways, Religion, again, has nothing to do with God. How would you have known there was a God if there wasn't any religion? Religions both Christianity and Islam made us know that God exists except you are worshipping a god. FxMasterz: It's not a true church. It's a cult. Just research about the church and its founder, Joseph Smith. Yes I read about that on Google but if you Google about having a headache, you will likely get some results saying you may have brain cancer or skull cancer. I need feedback from people with real experience. Why they still attend the church or why they stopped attending the church. |

Kobojunkie: 1. Religion of Christianity is the same no matter which of the denominations you try to plug yourself into. It all has absolutely nothing to do with God and Jesus Christ even though they plaster His mention everywhere in their lies. So enjoy the delusion! I can't counter what you wrote or support it because none of us knows the truth or which denomination is right or wrong. I got a phone call from the because I requested for a free Holy Bible online. The caller invited me to pick it up after the service tomorrow so I asked what time was the service and told him I would like to attend the service. LordIsaac: Book of Mormon comes to mind. Prepare to "testify." Come on man, shed some more light |

I'm attending aforementioned church tomorrow for the first time and I would like to know what to expect. I would appreciate responses from current members or former members.
I googled about the church and there were both negative and positive reviews so I just need a clear and honest feedback. I have no friends who have attended the church but I'm pretty sure there are people on here who have or still do. |

grandstar: In December 1988, I remember buying a quarter chicken for N6.25 then.
A family friend had given my brother and I either N25 or N50 for us to share.
Their chicken was the bomb. It was the Ikeja and Akoka I was familiar with.
Earlier that year, Maltina was N1 per bottle. So, it was a lot of money then. It's the one in Ikeja I remember, at the beginning of Toyin Street I think. Yes they had the best chicken and their chicken pie was too. Your memory is on point to remember the price of their chicken, I would never have remembered that. |
