That's the reasonable thing to do, not crying up and down and blaming government

Those are private and even exclusive estates u mentioned not public estates or streets where most Nigerians live.

It’s like saying banana island know the estate management takes care of its road and infrastructure especially if u pay service charges.
Then let residents of these areas fence off their neighborhood, make it a "private or exclusive estate" and repair their roads.

From the outlook of your profile, it shows you sell cars. Do you pay tax for every car you sell? Nigerians are the cause of their problems. The change you are looking for doesn't start with the President, governor or any politician. It starts with you.

In other words, what u were implying is all the good and services consumed by Nigerian citizens, there are no VAT on it is that correct?
You just proved me right, always looking for who to blame and would never take the blame.

Just curious, do you know some of the reason people pay taxes? Just yes or no answer will be just fine...

How many Nigerian business owners pay taxes?

How many Nigerians look for means to avoid paying for their electric bill?

How many Nigerians avoid road tax and other taxes?

So please don't go there.

Mention the places in Lagos can you
Many estates in lekki, chevy view, admiralty estate, oral estate, idado estate etc

Why do people always like blaming. There are parts of Lagos where the roads are fantastic and guess what, these roads are built by the residents and locals. If you want something done then do it yourself.

In 2004, I was deported from UK(drug crime), 2008 deported from France(expired visa) , I went back to uni in Nigeria, graduated despite everything and relocated in 2016.

Deportation is not the end, sometimes you have to fall to bounce back up.

the op knows why he's saying this.

Ask any hospital staff, they'll tell you that a number of older men are more likely to die alone, miserable, some with regrets and many with a wife and children who abandoned them or who they treated poorly in their youth. The reverse is the case for older women. They are always surrounded,if not by husband, it will be children and siblings.

Cherish the wife of your youth. You won't hear.
Some bad mothers have abandoned their mothers for their father's. There's no need for a gender fight. We all err.

We aren't talking about Nigerians and racism so stay focused.

My statements are still valid, You are trying hard to fit in. So every excuse of ignorance and racism is fine because you can't be bothered to be offended everyday of your life. You have projected your beliefs on Asians as well undecided when in reality, they find those words offensive.

You won't be the first black man living in the remotest part of Europe. Your experience is peculiar. lipsrsealed
I no get time or energy to argue. Whatever you said, you are right

White people that aren't ignorant or racist won't use those words either. Many Chinese will find the words rude and disrespectful.

It is like you are trying hard to fit in to make white people feel better. undecided
You don't know me so how would you say I'm trying to fit in? Why should I be offended by a word? If that's the case, I would be offended everyday of my life. Every Nigerian must be ignorant and racist because we call Chinese people and things chinko. Run along, let the intelligent people have space to express their views cool cool

And to answer your question, I live in a town in Europe where you hardly see a black or Asian person.

WoundedLamb:
A sensitive topic if you are in the US/Canada, brother.

Immigrants don't have issues being called that. However, let's not invalidate the experiences or perception of blacks born into the system whose history is rooted in slavery. The views are very different. My parents are first generation Immigrants, they don't care what you call them. Therefore, I also don't care about it. But many of my black friends will take offense to that and that's very understandable. I mean, if the word was used to insult or ridicule your grandfather and father, you would not wake up in 2021 to say it's now OK to call you that, at least, for your father's sake. Yes, some people are OK with it, but we shouldn't try to force it down the throat of those who aren't. I mean, even if it's just a racial slur that has over time come to become a mere identification, why should one even be called by thier racial identity? Even with all the associated privileges, a white man wouldn't still want to be called "hey, white man".

As an Immigrant, you were never in any way impacted by that name. So it's a bit unfair to come to the US and tell the blacks here how to react to it. Generally speaking, I am of the opinion that Africans should stop this attitude of telling blacks Americans how to perceive racism. They don't have the black pride we have as Africans. Just a thought.

OP, if they weren't talking to you, why not just mind your business. Like this guy said, they could be talking about thier friend who's okay with it.
I'm glad your parents don't care what people call them cos that's the way it's supposed to be. It's like Nigerians calling Chinese people chinky or chinko. That is racist too, very actually. The word can be used in a racist way and as a sign of love and affection.

We aren't being racist when we call chinese people chinky, it's just a "slang".

When I was younger I got offended when I hear a Caucasian use this word but now that I'm older, It doesn't bother me. If people like, let them call me a monkey, it doesn't define who I am. However, everyone has a right to react differently when called a "nigga".

Oga be calming down. My white wife and friends call me nigga all the time. Strangers I don't know say to me "what's up nigga" And I reply "I'm good ma wigga, you good". This is 2021, the word " Nigga" Doesn't necessarily have to be an insult.

Trade with merchants only. merchants do have a badge on their profile in binance p2p.

The 99 or 100% rating can be deceiving o because most of them are scam(got scammed with that idea, learnt my lesson). Your best bet is using merchant to buy.

Happy trading.
Yea I followed Tobechuckwu's advise and bought from someone with good ratings. He sent the USDT within two mins. Sorry you got scammed.

Go to P2P on Binance, buy usdt on Binance.

Look for someone with 99- 100 % trades rate on P2p before buying usdt from him.

Ensure u have ur Bank app also
Thanks for this. What happens if I send the money and the seller doesn't send the crypto? I haven't seen any with 99% trade rating.

I decided to buy some crypto and see what all the fuss is all about. I downloaded the Binance app a friend recommended and I almost bought the shib coin because it's one of the cheapest coin so there's possibly room for it to appreciate.

My friend who recommended the app is not resident in Nigeria and neither am I but I have some funds in my Nigerian account that I can afford to play or gamble. My friend, let's call him Seun, told me that there are ways to buy crypto on Binance from other people who want to sell and the description when paying won't say anything about crypto. Seun also said he invested 4000 pounds at the beginning of the year on different coins and right now he has 160,000 pounds worth of coins. Chai that was what got me fully interested.

Anyway if anyone here knows about crypto trading, and how you buy on Binance without having the bank account restricted, please drop a comment.

Secondly I run a non-Nigerian resident account in one of the Nigerian banks, does the crypto law Buhari imposed apply to me or only Nigerian residents?

HealthRe: The Doctors Want To Amputate My Mum's Leg. Advice Needed by Or11: 12:12am On Nov 06, 2021
Spark2:
Hello NL.
I'm going to keep this brief.

It started three weeks ago. my mum, who was walking normal with no problem suddenly could not walk. Her left leg began paining her severely that day. My mum was all in tears... She was rushed to the hospital where it was discovered that her sugar level was on the high side. The hospital gave drugs which stabilised it, at that point my mum was very weak, couldn't eat, each time she eat she throws up and also had some pain in the leg still. After a week in the hospital, we were then referred to a teaching hospital after a test showed that creatinine in her kidney was high.

The teaching hospital tried their best and I can say my mum is now okay. Except for the left leg. She can't still walk on it, the leg feels cold to touch with a little discolouration above the foot.

Doppler test showed that blood isn't really flowing through the leg. And they said they will need to amputate the leg to prevent the infection from growing to the other parts of the body.

Please I want to know if you know anyone who had similar condition and amputation was recommended but was later healed without need for amputation.

Please share your recommendations. I need my mum now more than before in my life. We are confused on whether to allow them to go on with the amputation or seek other alternatives.

Thank you very much.

Pls note that as at now, her sugar level, creatinine and other things are normal.
Would be ideal to arrange for her to see a doctor outside Nigeria. Take photos of her leg and of the hospital results and go to gofundme and appeal for funds for treatment. Before appealing for funds, do your research on how much it would cost in different countries for medical, transportation, visa etc fees and put the exact amount on GoFundMe.
