l think subsidy is milking Nigeria dry, oil prices are falling and the GDP is down by a few percentage points according to recent economic report on Nigeria. Feeding of school children may be considered a stimulus to the tanking economy. However, how will the government pay for this additional service? What is the cost estimate of this feeding program over four years? Above all, will there be a law to back this policy or will it be done by executive fiat? Will this feeding program be for all primary school children both in government and private run schools? How many school children are we looking at? I hope this will not be another avenue to loot the national resources. |
