We should leave their America and stay in Tinubu Nigeria? How........
No matter how bad it is in America, Nigeria is worst even security wise. A country where death, kidnapping, bandit attack etc is no longer news everyday on news FrontPage, a country you can't talk without been witchhunted. I wonder what's the motivation of an average Nigerian living in Nigeria, even sycophants like Seyi law kept their families abroad and gallivates around with police escort here. |

Activities like kissing, fingering, sucking of breast but no penetration.. according to her friend who told me, she said my girlfriend whom I want to marry was 25 and her cousin was 17 and they were sleeping together in one room when it happened. Is it advisable to marry such girl? It's not about her cousin, it's about sexual discipline. Hence tomorrow, if she's with your brother in the room or your friend, hormones can run wild. |

1. Used to stare into a mortuary. My uncle had a hospital in the other 2 floors where we lived, and from the top floor you could literally look into the embalming room. Curiosity would always push me to look… then I’d be scared out of my mind at night. Imagine seeing different dead bodies and angry faces.
2. Peeped into an ambulance I had no business looking into. It had palm fronds in front, so I knew what it meant… but I still looked. Saw something I can still picture till today. On my way to church, of all places.
3. Cut a live extension wire with scissors. Yes… plugged in. Direct current. I don’t know how I’m still alive only God saved me fr.
4. Tried to drive my uncle’s car thinking “driving is just driving.” Ended up hitting the gate immediately I shifted the gear. Funny thing is, he didn’t even get angry. He corrected me, and when I clocked 15, he started making me drive and correcting my errors. I got my first car at 19 all thanks to him.
Looking back now… I really survived myself. |

Cutezt: I am always amazed at the outcry and noise everywhere when 3 or 4 people are killed in the South, meanwhile, everyone have completely turned blind eyes to what is happening in the middle belt, like, it's normal to kill 20 people there, no big deal about it, life goes on, no noise, no outcry, nothing!
As I speak to you, there is almost no night that passes without gun duels in the villages of the middle belt between these Islamic terrorists and the villagers, with lives lost every single day, yesterday, it was in Riyom, tomorrow it will be somewhere else, there is no outcry at all, but just touch 2 people down south, all the unions, VIP and everyone will find their voice, you can't teach this.
The demon you overlooked cos it is 'far' from you, is slowly but surely creeping up on you down south, the only thing stopping them from being in Lagos yet is because there is almost no thick bush to hide, but when they find a solution (which they will) expect them in the coming years.
If you don't speak out on the happenings in the middle belt, it's just a matter of time before they are in your house. Still Tinubu won the election there and you have an APC governor. Until y'all join hands to outseat the old demonic man, nothing will improve. |
Properties › Re: My Landlord Gave Me Quit Notice For Demanding For My Right by Oracleee: 8:40pm On May 20 |
latiephwald: I believe we need more people like you. But honestly, what can an ordinary person do in a situation like this when the judicial system is corrupt? Someone who tries to take the legal route could end up being blamed or even imprisoned if they’re not careful. We really need to start speaking up and writing to our leaders without fear, demanding accountability. Take NEPA for example, despite paying regularly for electricity, they still operate anyhow they like, forcing payments under threat of disconnection. If you protest, they can cut off power to your entire area until people are forced to go and beg them. What has actually been done about this? Bro, I truly understand your point. But we all know how the Nigerian system works. If you’re not financially strong or don’t have connections in high places, you may regret taking legal action over something that an ordinary “ I'M SORRY” could have resolved. Their is a proverb that the Sailor knows the risk and storm involved yet he sails. Read the history of America and other countries, they were once in stone age like we presently are in Nigeria. Still, the few ones who could speak kept speaking until their voices were heard. |

Properties › Re: My Landlord Gave Me Quit Notice For Demanding For My Right by Oracleee: 4:52pm On May 20 |
latiephwald: And this is western country abi? Many of you would be claiming legal right and you couldn't face your Africa politicians. The third world country is not a place, it’s a people. People who put emotions before common sense. People who are more emotional than logical in their reasoning. People who will not stand to fight for their rights, but will rather say, “I should not be the one to talk.” In this particular case you’re talking about, this guy was not given the house for free, he paid rent. He asked the landlord to contribute to the cost of the transformer in their area, and you’re here saying he is not supposed to ask. Why? Because it’s “emotional” for him to expect the landlord to do what he ought to do? This is a man who asked for accountability, yet the only thing you can see important is the landlord’s ego. Like I said earlier, a third world country is not a place, it’s a people. people with your ideology. Now imagine passing this same mindset down to your children. They pass it to others, their community, even their state. How will we collectively call our politicians to order. Few folks who do it are called names and this guy who asked for accountability was also talked against by you. And you’re not alone in this look at the number of likes your comment got. That means many people share the same thinking. So Nigeria is not called a third world country simply because it is Nigeria, it is because of Nigerians. And until we begin to think logically and act with sense, we will continue to remain where we are. The United States and other developed nations are not first world because of their name. They are where they are because of how their people think and reason. Until we get it right in Nigeria, we will keep having the same kind of leaders. Leaders who lack accountability and believe it's a privilege to give good governance at every level of leadership. |

Stephen0mozzy: Forget legal action jare. If ywant to stay in the house, just go and talk to him man to man.
That something is right, doesn't mean that the way we ask it is proper - you have said you "demanded", I hope you didn't use the same "attitude" that the word implied?
Anyways, while it's not right, landlords often see themselves as the Lord of the Land on which their house was built - this is a lesson, don't try to be a hero if you can't lead others to join you in doing compound thing.
If you even go to court, the landlord can say he gave you the quit notice because, having considered that the house not having light will be an inconvenience to you, he has decided to terminate your tenancy agreement so you can get a proper house that meets your demand.
Wisdom is always profitable to direct - Landlord wey hold beef with full street naim you think say intimidation by few tenants will faze? You guys could have asked for a general meeting with him and sweet talk him into paying the dues, even if it means contributing small small to assist.
Them nor dey scratch brokos the way e take itch. This is nonsense. Op avoid folks like this, it's the African mentality. |
