This is what we need to hear, encouragement not telling people not to leave Nigeria, there is information out there, ask questions, everyone's challenges will be different but you will survive.

bamangar:
I love your response and positivity. The fact that cars kill people on high way accident doesn't mean many people wont buy one or more. There are opportunities in the UK, even far better in Nigeria at the moment. One just have to ask questions and research. Challenges are different, what student bayo would face is different from what student Halima may face. But I believe nigerians are survival. The UK will be rolling out a point based immigration system in January 2021, with what is going on and how they are gradually bouncing back, I think more job opportunities would be created in 2021.

When people say these things I laugh hard, what is the rate of acceptance into Canada? is Canda flowing with so much milk and honey that everyone that goes there has it easy? if your plan is to leave Nigeria, then do what you must, work hard and grind. Whether it is Canada or UK who go make am go make am. Moreover, there are so many Nigerians doing well in the UK, so stop trying to discourage people from getting active just stop.

They’re 100% correct. U.K. will disgrace you wether you get post study or not. So pls no go that side. But if you decide to go, God be with you o

I think you could trade your brain with a monkey brain and you'd probably be more clever. It was his supporters that were rioting, all he needed was, go on TV and tell them to stop. He waited for 800 lives to be lost before doing what he was supposed to do on day one.
If you can't rationalise the onus lies with Buhari to call his supporters to order, you might as well be denied a voting right. The issues are too convoluted for someone with your brain size to discern.
i would normally not quote back, but i see u need help, can u see what you typed "his supporters", and how sure r u? in Ferguson this year certain animals decided to destroy properties, pls was the civil rights activist or the good people freg blamed for it, isn't that civil right march going on as we speak, in 2009 or so in eygpt people were killed to the uprising, and decided to take mubarak to court for it blaming them, today as i speak to u all chargers were thrown out.. i'm not trying to make case for buhari, but when i see things that are politically motivated i must speak up, take a piece from the president of kenya, and his case too was thrown out.. so before you crucify the man, pls !!!! get your facts right..

PoliticsFalling Oil Price: Fashola Demands FG To Reduce Pump Price Of Petrol by OrangeHokage(op): 8:45pm On Dec 07, 2014
Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State yesterday wondered why the federal government was reluctant towards reducing the pump price of oil from the current N97 per litre it is sold in the country, even when the price has declined in the global market.

The Governor spoke while addressing hundreds of youths at the Lagos State After School Graduation Development Centre, AGDC, IGNITE Employability Project 5, Ikeja.

While disclosing that as at Friday, the Organisation of Petroleum exporting Countries, (OPEC) had on its website, pegged the oil price at $66.27 per barrel, he lamented that Nigerians were not receiving fair treatment from the government like citizens in other oil producing nations.

Hear the Governor, “Now, we should be enjoying cheap fuel if the price of oil has dropped globally. And even as we import the product, a major component has reduced in price. While this has reduced, the pump price of fuel in the country still remains the same. Something is wrong.

“If the price increases in the country when the price of oil goes up globally, then it should also reduce when the price of oil drops.

“I understand that I am not an economist; they (federal government) are the economist. But I have some logic and common sense to ask critical questions. For instance, if one buys flour at N10 per kilogram, and the bread is sold at N1 per loaf, if the price of flour drops, the price of the bread should also change”, he pointed out.

Fashola went on to request the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration to follow the example of other countries that have reduced the pump prices of oil products for their citizens as a result of declining global price of crude oil.

While observing that the oil sector of the country had not been developed to take care of the challenges faced by the nation, especially unemployment, Fashola said: “The economy is not doing well. Some of you are compelled to try to survive through whatever means.”

The Governor further showed how the oil sector can be used to tackle unemployment challenge, saying, “If we are trying to build refinery with Dangote in LFZ, Epe; and the construction alone would require 8, 000 workers. It means that they must get to work and back. So there is need for transportation service. “There is need for food. And other services during work. And post construction,” he added.

datibo:
you baffle me when you say the south east is under developed. Remove Lagos from the south west, no other south western state can be compared to the south east in terms of development. You can't even compare. You want us to be underdeveloped but we are not. You are only ignorant because you have never crossed Ore. Can you compare Enugu to Abeokuta? or Owerri to Osogbo? or Awka to Ibadan? they can never be... we far outweigh you in all ramification. The only reason we are in the Lagos is cos of economic gains. And we have added our quota to develop Lagos so has every other tribe done. please you need to go on vacation to know where is truly underdeveloped. And again you say the south east is landlocked, I laugh at you. We have Rivers that are very close to the sea where we can build our ports. Even if at all we truly are landlocked which we definitely arent , Switzerland is a landlocked country yet they have one of the best economy in the world. We have the Oil, we have the gas, we have the coal, we have the palm oil, and above all we have the human resources. You say we can't wait for us to go, don't worry we will go soon but remember your older relatives fought for the people they hate to still be with them. With so much we have done for Nigeria this is what we get. Education, Sports, commerce, international academic recognition, the igbos lead and will continue too. Obasanjo was president for eight years yet he couldn't fix ota and abeokuta. I just can't wait for this rubbish of a country to end.
oh shut up! And stop embarrassing yourself.

The plane was reported to have had technical difficulties enroute from Russia to Chad. It made an emergency stop in Kano.

I think it was arms meant for Chad, however with no official statement from their Government by now, it does not look like it was a legitimate transaction. Remember an aide to the Chad President was recently caught at the Chad-Nigeria with surface to air missiles in the boot of his car.

PoliticsBuhari Opposes Jonathan’s Bid To Borrow $1bn For Terror War by OrangeHokage(op): 8:55pm On Dec 01, 2014
Former Head of State, and a leading aspirant of the presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) has condemned moves by President Goodluck Jonathan to borrow $1 billion for the prosecution of the war against insurgents in the troubled North-east.

According to the former head of a military junta, “for 30 months, we fought civil war from here to the East, and Nigeria never borrow a dime and don’t forget that Nigeria won the war that continue to keep us as a single entity.”

Buhari, who made his position known in Kano shortly after he commiserated with victims of last Friday’s multiple attack at Kano central mosque, argued that there was “no basis or cogent reason as to why Nigeria must borrow money to fight the Insurgency.”

He maintained that what the nation got as revenue when there was stability in the global oil market was enough to purchase military hardware that would help in curtailing the security challenges.

The presidential aspirant held that lack of political will on the part of the sitting government; high level corruption; looting of national treasury number among the factors working against the war on terror.

Hear the retired General, “my worry and concern is that from 1999 to date Nigeria has gotten huge foreign earnings in Dollars and yet no one can say where are these money, Nigeria before now was having its National carrier, with hundreds of shipping Cargos, but today we are practically zero and no one can tell what happened, and now somebody want to put the nation in another trouble by borrowing, the move is totally unacceptable to us.”
