Nairaland GeneralAre The "old Politicians" Afraid Of A Government By The Younger Generation? by orbaxy(op): 7:47am On Sep 23, 2010
The time has come for people of our generation to take a plunge and liberate Nigeria from the woods. Those who ruled us in the past and disappointed us should not be given a chance to come back because they had their chance and failed. Our generation should be given the chance to lead Nigeria and this is the change that we desire and we believe we can --- Ribadu Nuhu

When you talk about age, it is really the opposite in some of the countries where they won’t elect somebody that is below 70, and that also reflects in investing in the human capital; so, the people prefer experienced hands who can deal with people who are in their upper 60s and lower 70s and higher 70s as their leaders ---- Idika Kalu

RomanceRe: How To Impress On First Date by orbaxy(m): 4:32pm On Sep 17, 2010
you want to impress her? , sure you need to look cool and smell nice, mobility is a boost for naija babe confidence, so if you don't have one, borrow, evening hangouts are prefered, give her a nice treat, (don't tell her everything about you, tell whatever part of your story that will impress her, like your trip to barbados, not your poor credit ratings, ), watch wat you eat, ! (moderate booze, wine preferred), immediately decide whether na"babe material abi na runs material", no offence, coz i know some babes just wanna get laid, "no strings attached", slight body contact is allowed, but read her signals. Don't forget condom in your wallet, you never know what's next,

CareerFor Prospective Drilling Engineers / Rig Workers: After Wellcap, Whats Next? by orbaxy(op): 3:07pm On Aug 11, 2010
I purposely raised this topic because of the need to acertain the BASIC requirement for rig jobs and what is not necessarily a requirement.

what is your opinion when it comes to self financed wellCAP IADC certification and IWCF? this is just a few of the requirements. DO they enhance your employability? lets share ideas,

Sir, I must say i am inspired by this forum. I am Petroleum Engineering graduate with valid wellCAP IADC certification which i obtained from International Petroleum Center, Abu Dhabi and i also has a valid OSHA construction safety certification 29CFR 1926 from Al quais, Dubai.

Please what is next as i want to work as a drilling engr in Nigeria. I have sent my CVs to all the companies i can remember but hv'nt got any response yet. Please am i missing something or is it because i don't have a field experience yet?

I will appreciate any advice.
