I opened a business for my wife,to the glory of God, the business is doing good.

All of a sudden, money start missing. All efforts to balance the account at the close of business were all abortive. We thought our workers were the one stealing but they are innocent. My wife has been crying after the recent one which was 110k. A friend who had experience same, advise her to put a piece of charcoal in the vault where she keeps money. But that doesn't go down well her even me.

The business is quite competitive but God has been really good to us.

What do you suggest I do?

As suggested install CCTV camera to watch the vault and let everybody know this.

1. Now what I believe is happening.
Over invoicing at the sale point with your IT, Computer guys and storekeeper conniving to steal. Customer are over invoiced with the targeted item which can be later removed by the cashier or cooperating customer and the IT reverses the sale of such item to balance out....and storekeeper does it part while putting new stock back.

2. Under invoicing with help of outsider and your security personnel. Cashier added the targeted item on the invoice of cooperating customer, customer only paid for the real item bought, Computer reverses out the order for the targeted item, they collect items from customers.

This one doesn’t affect you but unsuspecting customers. They over invoice want you buy, especially when you buy 4 or 5 items, they increase the number to 8 items hoping you won’t notice. Usually when cashier are overtly nice then they are about to milk you. You pay for the Items and they find a way to remove them. This is very common in Shop rite...especially when you are buying many Items.

I have been a Chemistry and Mathematics teacher for years now.

Then I met a friend who is a retired Government officer. He took interest in my kind of person and promised to link me up to opportunities that are better than teaching.

He called me yesterday and I went to see him. He presented two job opportunities before me;
1. A shopping mall manager (at Ring road in Benin city)
OR
2. As an assistant manager with a Private firm that supplies passport booklets to Immigration officers. I will be working directly from NIS Headquarter.

He gave me a week to make up my mind and choose an option

Please my questions are;
1. Will it be wise to dump years of teaching for these new opportunities?

2. Are the opportunities viable and worth the transition?
Which of the two options should I go for if I were to choose?
And what benefits does one stand to gain?

Go for the second option ASAP...working with NIS will definitely give you leverage and open up opportunities...even if the pay is low, I know of a friend that works in a bank attached to passport office at Ikeja. Today, he lives in the UK with his family. The opportunity came through interaction he had with members of the public and immigration.

Not good enough...but religion has captured and enslave us.

Livelihood and Economic powers are been taken away from the people by both government and bandits. Government burdens the people with all manners of tax coupled with poor infrastructure that limits Nigerians to little or no opportunities...bandit are forcefully taking away their lives and livelihood.
