No.
That's not all.
They said Gowon postponed the transition to civil rule indefinitely.

Na all these heads of state draw our democracy back. I still dont understand why they are honored
I
My logic is if they honoured Gen. Murtala Mohammed, then the first military Head of State of Nigeria, Gen. Aguyi Ironsi should also be honoured.

There is something mysterious about the two coups led by Murtala Mohammed.
Both happened on July 28-29.
This was not coincidental.

Jesus Came to Save the World
John 12:44-50

44 And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me.

45 And whoever sees me sees him who sent me.

46 I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.

47 If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

48 The one who rejects me and does not receive my words has a judge; the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

49 For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment—what to say and what to speak.

50 And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”

Witchcraft is real.
Only those who don't believe in God also don't believe there is witchcraft.
Witchcraft is clearly defined in the Holy Bible and other scriptures.
But the FOOL says there is no GOD.
Even though the fool gazes at the living proof of God in the mirror every day.

Politics / Gen. Murtala Mohammed: A Coup Plotter Who Became The National Hero Of Nigeria by Orikinla(m): 12:33pm On Nov 06, 2016
The late Gen. Murtala Mohammed is the only military Head of State on the Naira, the N20 note. And he was a coup plotter who played leading roles in two major coups.
The July 28 - 29, 1966 coup that toppled Major General Aguyi Ironsi, the first military Head of State of Nigeria and plunged the young nation into a catastrophic civil war from 1967 to 1970. Then Murtala masterminded the third Nigerian coup d'etat of July 29, 1975, to overthrow Gen. Yakubu Gowon, the second military Head of State of Nigeria. And Murtala became the third military Head of State of Nigeria until he was assassinated in one of the bloodiest coups in the history of Nigeria on Friday, February 13, 1976. He was succeeded by Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, the first Yoruba Head of State of Nigeria who later became a democratically elected President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007.

Majority of Nigerian youths were either babies 40 years ago or were yet to be born . So, their knowledge of the late Gen. Murtala Mohammed is from publications on the history of Nigeria and word of mouth. They see him on the N20 note and have accepted it without asking why an antidemocratic military coup plotter should be celebrated and eulogised as a national hero.
What did he achieve for Nigeria by his military coups?
And the release of '76, the new film of multiple award winning Nigerian filmmaker, Izu Ojukwu on the assassination of Murtala Mohammed has given millions of Nigerian youths the opportunity to know him better.

Murtala was murdered with his Aide Camp and driver. But his Orderly miraculously regained consciousness in the mortuary hours later. And he is still alive today.

My eyewitness account of that fateful day of Friday, February 13, 1976, will be published tomorrow. I was a class one student at the famous St. Gregory's College in South West Ikoyi close to the State House at the Dodan Barracks in Obalende. And our residence was at No. 28, Obalende Road.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Destined For Greatness – Buhari by Orikinla(m): 8:12am On Nov 06, 2016
I believe that the same Generals who were the principal actors in the coups that changed the tides of the ship of state and later transformed into elected Presidents of Nigeria from Obasanjo to Buhari who were part of the military government of late Gen. Murtala Mohammed know how to repair the damages of politics in the country.

For those who were not yet born or were too young to know when the trajectory of the political destiny of Nigeria changed direction, you have to go and see '76, the historical film on the coup d'etat on Friday, February 13, 1976 that claimed the life of Gen. Murtala Mohammed before it was aborted by his loyalists, Obasanjo, Danjuma and Buhari at Dodan Barracks in Obalende on the Lagos Island.
Coups derailed the destiny of Nigeria.

6. National Theatre

The National Arts Theatre otherwise known as the National Theatre was constructed and commissioned by the Obasanjo military regime in 1977. The structure has a 5000-seater main auditorium with two cinemas which has capacity to translate any spoken language into 8 different languages simultaneously. The outer architectural design was made to resemble a military hat. The sad part of this symbolic building is that in 2014, it was reported to have been sold to a Dubai multi-national company with plans to turn it into a duty-free shopping mall.

5. Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge

Remember the bridge Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, was seen jogging on when he visited Nigeria? Well, this is the bridge. This is another breathtaking popular structure in the city. This bridge is a beauty to behold. The Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge is a 1.36 km long cable-stayed bridge, the very first in Nigeria. It was constructed by Nigeria's foremost construction giant, Julius Berger. Construction on this bridge began in 2009 and was completed and commissioned in 2013 by Babatunde Fashola, the then governor of Lagos state. It was reported that the bridge cost a whopping 29 billion naira.

It baffles me to think most of these youth here will grow up and desire to occupy important office in the future in Nigeria.

Their level of thinking is seriously deficient.

How on earth would someone aggregate GDP, Oil prices and not seems to understand the basic underlining principles in economics.

Oil prices money accounts for 90% of Nigeria FX and yet, these ignoramus entities don't know the difference between GDP and FX as it affects the economy.

Even Canada was at a point in recession. Not because of lower GDP but entirely due to this fall in price of commodities especially oil

And to even think that they are in defense of some prodigal leaders that squandered their future makes me wonder what has befallen this country.
.
They are pathetic.
I feel sorry for their girlfriends or wives.
It is a nightmare to to in relationship with a re-tard.
