Illiterate. What Tinubu is doing is far above the head of an uncouth spare parts tout like you. Most of you live in your own small, ignorant and tribalistic space so you simply do not have the expansive mind or world exposure to appreciate what Nigeria has to do if she must move towards developed nation status.

For example, which government has done what is shown below in a nation where most Nigerians resent paying tax and simply avoid it altogether? Yet, the fact is that tax is the backbone of effective public service delivery we all crave (in health care, education, infrastructure, power supply, policing and security etc) responsible for the massive difference between the UK and Nigeria for example.

Tribalistic, petty and hateful people like you, even though you don't know it, are self-destructive. Your main obsession is focusing daily on how to hate on Yorubas and Hausa/Fulani or SW and North. This has blinded you from seeing what is obvious. I.e the solutions Nigeria need that every intelligent and progressive Nigerian is aware of. You are your own worst enemy.

https://www.thecable.ng/taiwo-oyedele-nigerians-earning-above-n1-5m-monthly-will-pay-up-to-25-personal-income-tax/amp/
Oga there's truth in what u say...

bt then u cannot expect ANYBODY to be enthusiastic about tax in Nigeria, given the antecedents and history of all our previous politicial leaders at all levels of government who have completely embezzled and mismanaged the wealth of the country; to the extent that we have fallen from one of the GREATEST countries in the world to one of the most poverty striken, it is a classical case of falling from grace to grass (it should be a case study for 'how not to manage a Nation' )

Why have they NEVER bothered to develop our health care, education, infrastructure, power supply, policing and security that u mentioned, since independence?

Do you know our refineries were built since the 70s?

Are you saying we lack the resources and knowledge to improve on them ALL these decades? And even build new ones? The technologies for those refineries are outdated. Is it that it is beyond our capability as a country to build new, modern refineries that use latest cutting edge technology? Is it rocket science?

Thank God, dangote has opened their nyas# for the whole world to see.

They loot our money, take themselves and families abroad for treatment, educate themselves and their children abroad, enjoy the 1st class infrastructure in foreign countries, lavish in uninterrupted power when in those countries, enjoy peace of mind in countries that are safe security-wise

So, is it that the money we generate in this country can't be used to bring development to the country for the citizensto enjoy? it's only tax money that can bring us development or what?

If people can physically see and feel improvements in their lives as a result of government activities and policies, like citizens do in the UK and US, people would happily pay whatever tax is imposed on them

But as it stands, as the saying goes - it's jus business as usual - and the tax money will disappear down another mysterious, deep, dark, anonymous, bottomless pit that exist in some government officials trousers and skirts

So pls do not blame anyone for kicking against it

What have our leaders done with the vast resources and wealth of the country, all these decades, that has been handed over to them in trust

So I bought 7 potatoes for 1800 Naira meaning each is like 250 each. Bought 6 eggs for 1500 meaning 250 each. Baked beans Heinz was 600 Naira. So I cooked 3 potatoes meaning 750 Naira and 2 eggs is 500 Naira and half a can of baked beans is 300 for a grand total of 1500 Naira aka like 70 pence. A full English breakfast for 70 pence ? In uk that’s like 10 pounds. Naija food still cheap oooo hehe 🤣😄
My friend keep kwayet, don't do comparison like that to say food is cheap in Nigeria.

That 10 pounds you are saying is their own N10.

How much did you spend in naira total to buy the food u bought?

When you can buy the same food for N50 or N100, that's when u can compare and say food is cheap in Nigeria

Wisdomkosi:
Senator Gabriel Suswam, a former Benue State governor, has raised urgent concerns over Nigeria’s worsening economic situation, stressing the severe impact of surging food and transportation costs.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Suswam illustrated the alarming cost increases by pointing to the price of eggs.

“A crate of eggs that was less than N1,000 is now N10,000,” he revealed. “So it means that me and you can’t afford to eat eggs in our houses.”

The senator’s remarks reflect the frustrations of many Nigerians struggling with the recent spike in essential goods prices.

According to Suswam, these economic burdens are affecting average citizens and have made even public figures like himself rethink their daily expenses.

“People cannot transport themselves to their offices,” he noted, emphasising how the high transport costs make daily commutes a financial strain for workers.

Urging President Bola Tinubu to take swift action, Suswam proposed that an emergency meeting with the president’s economic team could help reshape policies that currently inflate the cost of living.

“We need to look beyond just economics and think about the everyday lives of people struggling to feed their families and get to work,” he stated, appealing for a response that prioritises the well-being of ordinary Nigerians.

The senator’s call underscores a shared hardship and pressures the administration to provide urgent relief as citizens contend with these rising costs.

If there's any religion that promotes it's adherents to study nature it's Islām.
The science most of you boast of today Muslim contributed a lot to it.

Google names like Khawarizmi
Jabbir ibn Hayyan and see for your self.
Which 1 com be context, the only context is if it was mentioned in the quaran

The words nature and innovation have completely different meanings, so u cannot come and interchange them

If the word nature is mentioned, would anyone think it's synonymous with innovation? Or vice versa? No sir.

So then, one can accurately say the quaran promotes the study of nature but preaches against innovation?

I asked you a simple question which you ignored and I ask again, how was innovation mentioned in the quaran?

In your lame attempts to cover up and discombobulate us, u mentioned 'religious innovation' on the one hand and 'study nature' on the other, pls I see no relationship between the 2 phrases, perhaps you could enlighten me

If 10 people read that verse in the quaran, how many of them would interpret and conclude that it is not preaching against technological innovation? Probably zero

Of course muslims contribute to science in saner climes, no one is disputing that. The problem is from you fanatics and extremists here that blindly and senseless follow what you are told.

So, your lame attempt to cover up cannot deceive us, we have knowledge and our eyes are open

sorry for the delay. let me continue my story.

and for the record this story is not a fabricated one . it's actually a true life story that happened to me back then in school.

ok let's continue.

so after I got the new boxers and nice white singlet .I went back home, then bath up. wear nice perf , come and see big boy.

so I took a bus to her bus stop, then we took another bus to the hotel we were gonna swim, she was just admiring my look and outfit, that alone was driving me crazy and made me want to impress her the more.

so we got to the pool, we sat down for like five minutes, then I went to make an enquiry about how we could get access to the Pool, i was told to pay 500 naira or 1k . can't remember the price then again.

so I paid , I was given a white towel, the guy also told me to use the bathroom to shower before we enter the pool.

so I gave my babe her own towel. she entered the bathroom and showered then change to her swimming cloth. I also did the same.

the guy also showed me the different part of the pool, he said one part was shallow while the other part was deep and told me to use the shallow part. and also instructed me to tell my babe the same.

then I told my babe she said okay.

then she went to the pool side. used the pool stair case then entered the shallow part of the pool.

This is somebody that can actually swim. Unlike me .

Then mumu me because I won impress the babe, and because I don watch enough YouTube videos on how to swim, I was feeling like a boss. I went to the deep part of the pool.

na so I jump inside pool ooo.

PoliticsRe: Huge Pension Of Ex-Governors Of Lagos State (Full List) by Os3e(m): 3:07pm On Nov 12, 2020
Stjims:
Huge Pension Of Ex-governors Of Lagos State. Number 12 Will Shock You

Below are the mouth watering benefits, anyone who served as governor of Lagos State will enjoy after office.

It was gathered that, the pension scheme for Lagos governors, was designed by the former Attorney General of Lagos State, under Tinubu, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, who is now the vice president of the country.

Lagos is ranked as one of the most dangerous cities to live in the world, due to the prevalent security threats, ranging from police brutality, harassment from street urchins, government officials, task forces and armed robbers.

Lagos also named as one of the most stressful state to live and conduct business activities due to traffic jam. The state also have one of the world's worst inner city developments.

If you go into the interior parts of Lagos, the level of the under development will be exposed to you. From bad roads, infrastructural decay, poor education, no access to potable water, but the people running the state keeps branding it as a mega city.

Here are what ex-governors in the State, Senator Bola Tinubu, Babatunde Raji Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode enjoys, in the midst of plenty poverty of the people.

1. 1 residential house each for the ex-governor and ex-deputy governor.

2. 1 residential house in Federal Capital Teritory for the ex-governor who spent two consecutive terms .

3. 6 new cars every three years.

4. 100% of the basic salary of the serving governor N7.7m per annum.

5. Free healthcare for him and members of his family.

6. Furniture allowance of 300% of their annual basic salary N23.3m.

7. House maintenance allowance 10% of basic salary N778,296.

8. Utility allowance 20% of the salary N1.5m.

9. Car maintenance allowance 30% of the annual basic salary N2.3m.

10. Entertainment allowance , 10% of basic salary N778,296.

11. Personal Assistant to earn 25% of the governor’s annual basic salary N1.9m.

12. 8 policemen, 2 DSS attached to the governor for the rest of his life.

However, Lagos State House of Assembly said on Sunday it would not repeal the state’s pension law which authorised former governors and other public office holders to receive juicy pensions from state coffers.

The Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Strategy, said the lawmakers would not go the way of their Zamfara counterparts which recently repealed pension law for its former governors and other public officials in the state.

The Federal High Court, Lagos, had last week ordered the Federal Government to recover pensions collected by former governors now serving as ministers and members of the National Assembly.

The court also directed the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, to challenge the legality of states’ pension laws permitting former governors and other ex-public officials to receive such pensions.

Braimoh, however, faulted the court ruling that ordered Malami to take immediate legal action toward the repealing of state laws that permit “former governors to enjoy governors’ emoluments while drawing normal salaries and allowances in their new political offices.”

He said as long as the law did not contravene the constitution, state assemblies had the right to make laws for the benefit of the society in which they operate.

According to him, separation of powers as enshrined in the constitution empowers the legislature to make laws, the executive to implement and the judiciary to interpret the laws.

He said: “The Supreme Court had made it clear several times that no arm of government can repeal the constitutional provisions of another arm of government.

“Therefore, legislators make laws that are in tune with the yearnings and dynamics of their society.

“Until another legislature comes to alter, review or amend the law, the law is meant to be obeyed.

“The judiciary cannot pronounce that law by the state is unconstitutional unless such state law is contradictory to the constitution.”

I agree with you. I have not heard anything about the families of the pilot and the occupants of the helicopter. The government should also be concerned about the families of the victims of the crash and should be celebrating the heroic pilot who averted the loss of more lives and properties by emptying his fuel tank before impact and avoiding crashing directly into the buildings. In my eyes he deserves accolades.

It's a perception widely held by so many accross Nigeria and not particularly the south east. Such perception is fueled by the fact that there is little or no transparency on how donated funds have been spent so far, and there has been little satisfaction from the public on why those acclaimed to be positive are hardly given expert clinical management or treatment on arrival at the isolation centres and yet they recover. Infact some of them openly protest against being neglected without proper care. There is also the notion about figures being inflated by the government to decieve donor agencies, and many persons don't understand why u should lock them down totally when u aren't providing any palliatives nor stipends for their survival, thereby predisposing them to loosing their means of livelihood. To make matters worse, politicians are holding rallies and moving about, some without adherence to covid 19 guidelines. In all we know that the severity of Covid 19 in our country seems less compared to other parts of the world, but over the years Nigerians have lost trust in their government and that's why they don't trust whatever you churn out
