RomanceRe: Nigerian Ladies Worry Over Scarcity Of Men by Osamabinla: 1:27pm On Sep 07, 2013
Its same thing everywhere. Guys aren't scarce actually but the ones who are ready to settle down are few but the reverse is the case for females, there are many ladies who are ready to settle down but NO husband. That's why these days we are having more and very desperate ladies. They will do anything to hookup a man. Craaaaaaazy!!!
PhonesRe: NCC Directs MTN To Scrap 10 Kobo Per Second Plans Effective Midnight by Osamabinla: 7:30pm On Jul 14, 2013
It's true that NCC directed MTN to suspend both MTN iPulse and Supersaver plus effective July 14th, 2013. So if you are on any of these two tarrif plan, it's advisable to migrate to MTN smooth-talk plan by dialing *401# or tru-talk plan by dialing *400#.

NCC can actually peg the maximum rate for voice calls but not directing outright suspension of tarrif plans for any telecom. Other telcos feel threatened by MTN and Globalcom market dominance hence various complaints to the morons called NCC.

In a bid to protect other telcos, they end up inconveniencing over 8million Nigerians . Instead of telling other telcos to lower their tarrif rate for voice calls so that we all Nigerians can enjoy same lower 10Kobo/sec rate that MTN has started , they end up killing market competition.

When two elephants fights, the grass(subscribers) suffers. NCC may think they are punishing MTN but what about over 8million subscribers that will also suffer due to NCC actions and the inability of our Government to provide the basic infrastructures such as power, good road network.

Back to the drawing board.

Call 180, tell them that your BIS data bundle has been exhausted before the expiry date, that they should deactivate it for you so that you can activate a new one. MTN BIS has a policy of fair usage.

CareerRe: ICAN 2013 May Diet by Osamabinla: 3:32am On Jul 06, 2013
@hopeyemmy,

I did get the soft copy of the PE 2 result you sent. I do really appreciate and to GOD be the glory, I am now qualified.

All these tuition centers offering TCI lectures won't let my phone rest with congratulatory message and TCI timetable lectures, since result has been out, I have received more 20 SMSes.

And by the way, what is ICAN or this country turning into, I observed that only 349 candidates got qualified this May 2013 diet. This is one of the lowest number in years. Is it that people didn't register for exam or the failure rate is just that much. I have also heard rumors about ICAN trying to curtail the number of qualified candidates each diet. I don't think pass rate for PE 1 is up to 20% either. Am just curious tho. I thank GOD am through with ICAN exams all the same. I bless GOD.

Life is full of shit, if the story is true, that means SLS line must have either been hacked or phone bugged. Some people have also been paid heavily to do this.
This story makes me remember the Bill Clinton sex scandal story.Snitches everywhere.

As far as I know those pix could av either been photoshoped or perharps for real on the other hand. Only valid evidence in a court of law can prove all this scrupulous stories.

Nobody holy pass ooooo...(In tubaba's voice).
PhonesRe: Blackberry Faces Ban In Nigeria And Users Faith Untold by Osamabinla: 4:15pm On May 08, 2013
RIM won't allow blackberrry to be banned in Nigeria. Nigeria accounts for a major stake of their income in Africa as a whole. They will sure find a way around it. More than 20 percent and even up to 30 percent of some of the telcos income comes various blackberry subscriptions in Nigeria. For now its still a good market for Blackberry in Nigeria so I believe interested stakeholders at large will find a way to resolve this with the NCC. There was a time BB was banned in India, sales of BB was halted in China, Saudi and some other countries due to this issue but they all found a way around it. Nigeria won't be an exception.
Music/RadioRe: Americans React to Dbanj's "Scapegoat Remix" With Kanye West by Osamabinla: 3:26pm On Apr 23, 2013
Though D'Banj might be singing crap, there is one thing about the American culture, they always believe that whatever they do is the best and whatever they produce is the best. There are many celebrated artist in USA who also sing crap too and they don't get castigated as this. If you don't do your thing the American way, it's surely a tight market for you . The problem I see for D'Banj in the long run is this, he may loose part of the African market in the process of trying to do things the American way, at the end of the day he ll neither be here nor there. Kanye is a business man, I wait to see as the future rolls.
This days most Nigerian hip-hop artist sing plenty craps because it's the crap that's celebrated, people only dance to the beat and don't listen to the wordings of the songs and most of these songs are designed with party dance steps intuition and club remixes. The truth is this , if you are a manufacturer of a product, you will only produce what the market will buy tho not a justification for crap production so I wouldn't blame any artist or producer. Bad things don't last sha. Only the best songs stands the test of time.
I still see a lot room for improvement in the Nigerian music industry.

Imagine witches urging christains and Muslim to pray to GOD. They admit GOD is still LORD over all. Bottom line, this country needs GOD's mercy.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: First Class B.sc And Distinction M.sc Yet No Job by Osamabinla: 5:07am On Apr 09, 2013
Best solution is that he should try and get something doing, the fact that you have best the grades doesnt mean you must end up doing a white collar job.(DONT GET ME WRONG HERE, ITS NOT THAT WHITE COLLAR JOBS ALSO ISNT FOR HIM). The most important thing is that he is not sitting down idle and folding precious arms all in the name of waiting for a white collar job. Its not bad if he tries starting some home lessons for some kids in his area or even WAEC or JAMB classes for those secondary school student in his area while still searching for his desired job. Volunteer jobs arent bad, NGOs, etc, dont just sit down idle, employers dont want see gaps in your CVs, they ll see you as someone unserious.

Only God knows where we are going in this country, the USA added 88,000 new jobs alone for the month of march, 2013 and some so called senators sit up there deciding how to reduce the Federal Budget allocation for education to the barest minimum as low as 2% of the overall aggregate Nigerian budget all year round.

On a second thought, someone is unemployed, despite the fact that enrolling for professional courses like ICAN, ACCA, CFA, etc can help his career, but where do you expect him to get the money to enroll for such exams, if he has the money , FINE! he should enrol but enrolling for these courses these days cost so much that you cant help but wonder what this world is turning into.

If the ops case is really true, i do feel that guy's pain cos by now he would have been frustrated and even wondered why he ever went school instead of going to learn a trade but he shouldnt give up, he shouldnt sit down idle, he should try out some new things that requires very little start-up capital or even visit some NGOs for assistance/partime jobs, he should pray focus on GOD the author and finisher of his faith and luck will definitely smile on him someday.

PhonesRe: NCC To Launch Mobile Number Portability On March 26 by Osamabinla: 12:23am On Mar 09, 2013
NCC just came out to shout, MNP starts March 26 and the only thing they come out plain on is that MNP allows you to change from one network to another while retaining your number. This is very true but they didn't come out plain on how the MNP will really work. The truth is that at least for now when the MNP starts, once you you change from one network to another , you need to stay on that network for a certain short period of time before you can move to another network. You can't just wake up one morning and be jumping in and out of different networks as you like. The bottom line is line is this , before you move out of your existing network, think twice cos before you go back to your previous network or a another network, it ll take a certain period of time ( that's the way it's intended to work at least for now except it's changed come march , 26).
All the 4 major mobile telecos are well prepared for this cos they have been working hand in hand with NCC for more than a year on this. With time , things will get better in this country.
MNP may be new in naija but not new Europe and some African countries, like Ghana , S.A, etc but we the subscribers stands to benefit more on the long run.
