I completely understand the frustration — the portal can be very strict and tricky at this stage. Based on what you’re describing, this is a document upload / system validation issue, and it happens to a lot of applicants. Here’s how to solve it step by step:

1️⃣ Check File Format & Size

Make sure your passport photo is JPG or PNG (no PDFs).

File must be under 2MB. Even if it seems small, compress it using an app like “Image Size” or an online tool.


2️⃣ Clear Your Cache & Refresh

Log out completely from the POSSAP portal.

Clear your browser cache and cookies (this resets any stuck session).

Restart the browser or try a different one (Chrome works best for me).


3️⃣ Re-upload Carefully

Use a different device if possible (sometimes mobile cameras are better than scans).

Make sure the background is plain and well-lit.


4️⃣ Avoid Multiple Failed Attempts

If it bounces again, stop and wait a few minutes before trying again. The system can temporarily block repeated uploads.


5️⃣ Last-Resort Option

If none of the above works, choose Physical Verification at the nearest command. It bypasses this online glitch completely.


💡 Pro Tip: Always keep a copy of your successful uploads — sometimes the system accepts one photo and still shows the error.

Following these steps fixes this 99% of the time. You’re not alone in facing this — many applicants hit this exact wall.

I think what people really need is rectification with your school.Your secondary school is very key as fbn will be doing findings there.

Yes pple have successfuly dne dat,ma neighbour had issues with his waec cert,d sex was female instead of male,althou it took smetime bt it was corrected.u nid constant folo up.if possible an insider in waec office to hlp make it faster.

Douglas Hoc: A monkey is climding a tree 20ft tall. Every 1 hour, the monkey climbs 3ft and drops 2ft. How many hours would it spend to get to the top.

I chose 18. My reasoning is that after climbing the 18th time it would have gotten to the top and wont have to drop.

I think its 20hours,cos he climbs 1 step evry 1hour.(3-2=1)
