March 21 date is available at Abuja at the moment. Kindly schedule an appointment if you need it. |
Tosinjaks:Yes, it's possible just be smart about it at the embassy. |
paschal808:Firstly, is the politician, your boss, the owner of the company? If yes, then you can state that your employer is your sponsor and that's fine. If No, then I suggest you use your parent. However, If your parent will be sponsoring you, you should be ready to prove that he/she has a job or business that generates such an amount you are transferring to their account. One of the important questions at the embassy is what does your sponsor do? This is just to know if the kind of job or business you stated could generate such an amount of money. If the VO detects any discrepancy you stand a chance to be denied. Best of Luck. |
bigheadday:Please go ahead. Schedule any date you see in September then request for an EA immediately. You will find the EA email format somewhere in the thread and the following document attachment. Good luck. |
djkolz:Yes, but on paper. Reality could come in different shades and colors. Sometimes following all the rules in the book could lead you nowhere. This US journey na risk, packaging and strategy. There is a system that generates and approves all these requests and it can approve or deny your request anytime. You can wait till April or May and still not get your EA approved. It's a possibility. Shoot your shot early enough when there is still room to reshoot. |
bigheadday:Your Program starts in May and you are still looking for normal date. You can request for an EA and get a favorable date. The date could be in this month sef. My friend's program also starts in May, he requested for EA on Jan23 and got an interview date for Jan27. I know there is a standard procedure but sometimes it's not the case. Don't delay yourself. |
Svelte98:I haven't heard or seen anyone being asked to submit his/her expired passport before being issued a new one. Is this a personal experience? |

jermer25:Please avoid unnecessary issues that can destabilize you at the embassy. Your Passport, just like any official document, is the government's property. Once it's stolen, misplaced, or for whatever reason, you don't have it anymore please go and get a police report and or an affidavit and take it to the embassy on your interview day These oyibo people do not trust any kind of excuse or explanation. Avoid being delayed or sent back. Go with an affidavit and you will be let off the hook. This is my 2 cents. Thank you. |

Omotola222:That's reasonable bro. Make sure you share your transcript. Best luck. |
Omotola222:Try to locate OPTIMA HOTEL. it's about 5min walk to the US embassy in Abuja. I wish I can perfectly give you directions on how to locate the hotel. But just keep asking around. The least room there is 8k. Wish you good luck. |
learner007:Not at all. I am talking about Northeastern University. |
Ezichi123:Hi. What advice do you need? I can see you have a strong case already. You have demonstrated your ties back to Nigeria and I think you are good to go. You just need to back it up well with proof and make your case as convincing as possible through expression. Good luck! |
Tulacious123:If that's the case, then you should be fine with my earlier stated tips. Just make sure you are able to convince them that you are abreast of the program structure and you have the requisite knowledge and skills to excel in it. Best luck! |
Tulacious123:Don't fright, the interview is pre-recorded. It is just to meet you in person and assess how well you can communicate and think on your feet. You will be given a few seconds to think before responding to each question. ( of course not ample time to think thou). You could be asked the following questions relating to how you heard about Northeastern, specific questions about the MBA program course module just to know how well you have done your research. Also, prepare for questions around your Leadership role experience, working in a team, and communication skills such as essay writing as these are core requirements for the program. Best of Luck! |
Gambros:You are most welcome. |
Gambros:Firstly, You can get admitted into any course from any University if you meet the requirements. Regardless of your undergrad degree. Secondly, most schools give admission with some form of merit based scholarship. Depending on the school or your application strength the funding could be either insignificant or significant. Hence, You can get much more funding or fully funded if you submit a stronger or more competitive application by submitting a good GRE result. Good luck. |
ademeecee:First, is it indicated that you would be 'self sponsord' on your I-20? If yes, then you are good to go. Because you need to be consistent. However, you don't need to have the fund in your account if you arent sponsoring yourself. Anyone can sponsor your education provided you have a good relationship and necessary backing from whoever it is. Secondly, the 3x COA account statement isn't a compulsory requirement although it is nice to have. I have seen people get their visa approved with exact COA on their statement of account. But if you have 3x of your COA to present why not? Go get your Visa! |
DeevaB:My advice isn't from an experience perspective but from personal research and pro advices on this platform and others. First, I think Northeastern University is a better school for MBA. I understand your decision is based on cost which is valid. But since you are taking the Mpower loan route, I am sure they fund Northeastern MBA also, why not get a better education with high employment prospect. Let me tell you about a few iceing on cake about Northeastern. 1) you can also get a GA position at Northeastern when you resume. (Although just like every school it's highly competitive and not guaranteed) However, there are a lot more opportunities on campus to make money for graduate students. 2) You could make about 70-80% of your total cost of education while studying through their one-of-kind corporate residency program. You could extend your co-op to up to 12months if you want to make more money. 3) Northeastern has a huge following and partnership with top recruiting companies. 4) Be rest assure you will land a good job with an MBA at Northeastern University of course with hard work. Secondly, your second offer at Virginia looks good but July is a long wait bro. If I were you, I would tidy up my loan application and start my visa application. No time bro!. |
