InvestmentDo You See CBN Devaluing The Naira Soon ? by osile2012(op): 10:06am On Nov 09, 2015
Foreign investors are afraid to invest in bonds, saying they think the naira will be devalues and crash their funds. Nigerians however are investing in numbers in bonds as the stock market is not impressive.

I also want to invest alot in bonds but i am afraid the naira might be devalued anytime soon. I dont know if i can trust the words of this govt. Do you see the Naira being devalued soon? If yes, does it make sense investing in bonds when the naira might be devalued ??

WebmastersRe: Whats The Most Reliable E-commerce Platform Online ? by osile2012(op): 1:23am On Oct 25, 2015
bassdow:
It's not the fault of the CMS script you used but your own fault for failing to do the necessary things.
On many occasions, I have seen and worked on websites having little to no security.
Whoever designed them (or should I say put them together) did a very poor job thereby leaving lots of loopholes.
Its becoming a regular thing nowadays to see websites with brows able directories among others.

Moreover if you believed Open cart was easily compromised, how far about WordPress that's so popular and easily a target.
I would advice you check the way you design your websites and also watch what module or plugin you install.

PS: Who knows if you had used a nulled script (as some people are too greedy to buy one) that was compromised. That can easily be another cause.

PSS: Doing nothing and leaving the defaults where they’re at is the worst thing you can do, and it gives the CMS (e.g WordPress, Joomla, OpenCart, etc) a bad name from a security standpoint.
The problem was from opencart. Opencart is actually a site of its own and you have little or nothing to design. The attack was from opencart and my hosting provider even showed the script that was manipulated and used to upload the files from opencart.
WebmastersWhats The Most Reliable E-commerce Platform Online ? by osile2012(op): 2:56am On Oct 24, 2015
I once used opencart for a client and before i knew it, people where already uploading files to my server, exploiting scripts and sending spam mails with my domain address. I pulled it down.

Can someone recommend a reliable alternative.

FamilyRe: My Husband Denies Me Sex And Affection...its Killing Me by osile2012: 11:12pm On Oct 19, 2015
Hi55:
Hello nairalanders, I just wish I'll get a shoulder or two to cry on tonight. Things are becoming unbearable for me and I don't know how far I can walk on these shoes. Here's my story...

I am 28 and married to a 35yr old youngman whom I love so dearly. We are blessed with 2 kids and most material things one can pray for. My marriage is 5yrs with just minor issues that do come up once in a VERY LONG while.

The problem is that my hubby does not show me affection and hardly approaches me for sex. I am a very neat, beautiful, Godfearing, educated and classy lady. Most times I am the one who initiates intimacy in our marriage. My heart breaks each time I read or hear of women who deny their husbands sex because its an opposite in my case. For more than two months now we've not been intimate. To make matters worse, he prefers to sleep in the sitting room or children's room than in our matrimonial room.

He always pretends to be tired but not too tired to be chatting on whatsapp with friends. I have his password, that is not an issue. I am not suspecting anything even though I'm not totally ruling out the possibility of adultery. He comes back very late in the night unlike before. Infact even when he comes early these days, he will rather stay with friends within the street or house than come inside. Believe me nairalanders, we don't have issues. Infact he keeps saying that God blessed him with a wonderful woman. It's not like I make the house uncomfortable for him. The only communication we have these days is greetings, asking how the day went or few general topics.

I am not a woman who can't do without sex but I just need to be shown affection even if sex is not there. Committing adultery on my own part is IMPOSSIBLE, i will rather opt for divorce. I am so confused, lonely and heartbroken. I love my husband beyond the word LOVE. I just wish he can see the tears in my eyes as I lay lonely on our bed each night. I am very fragile by nature and gets hurt easily. Believe me...this is killing me.

Please, people drop a word or two for a hurting soul.
If he does not approach you for s e x then you approach him instead of approaching nairalanders. You need a shoulder or 2 to cry on, you never talk wetin you dey find. undecided undecided undecided.

A wise man once said, dont let your gf discuss her problem with another guy, sometimes a shoulder to lean on becomes a **** to ride on.

Christianity EtcOur Problem With GOD (christians) by osile2012(op): 10:38am On Oct 18, 2015
Sometimes no matter how holy we are, we find ourselves in situations that make us feel frustrated with GOD.We pray and expect GOD to do something a certain way and he either does not or delays . This often gets us real mad.

3 things we have to understand are

1, We pray to GOD based on what we see, God answers based on what he sees. Our view of things are limited and hes are unlimited. He has a clearer view of the situation. A perfect example is the story of lazarus. He was told lazarus was sick, yet he allowed lazrus to die and be buried.

2, God is purpose oriented. Sometimes we what GOD to do things for our sake, but we have to understand that everything he does is for a purpose. And even though he does everything for a purpose, he carries us along in that plan. And if we follow through we always get more than we asked for. A perfect example will be abraham who was a friend of GOD , he was wealthy without a child. GOD waited till he was old and unproductive to give him a child. That child was according to GODs purpose not abrahams. But that same child became the saviour of the world and made abraham father of many nations. I am sure abraham would get frustrated sometimes. Wonder why GOD would do everything for him but the thing he needed most was withheld .You he attempted to have ashortcut through ishmel . Today the whole world is paying the price.

Therefore it requires total dependency on GOD, else we will be frustrated. And it even gets worse if you get offended with GOD and act foolishly . Jesus said blessed is he who is not offended in me. You can see what happened to John the baptist after he got offended in prison and ask if Jesus was the messiah or we should wait for another. He was beheaded.

3, GOD plans millions of years ahead of us. While we plan for 2morow, GOD has planned for our great grand children . He answers our prayers based on millions of years he has planed into the future. Looking at the case of abraham, he was asking for a child for today, GOD delayed and gave him a child based on a plan he had for generations after abraham millions of years after him.

Imagine GOD telling abraham that his children will go into slavery in egypt for over a hundred years and come up with great substance. While abraham is thinking and of today and worried about 2morow, GOD is talking about over 100 years in the future. So you see that your today and tommorow has been taken care of by GOD he is now talking about 5 generations after you are gone.

So dont think that GOD is worried about your situation and looking for a solution just like you are. He has handled your entire life and is talking about generations after you.

So when you are praying based on today and tomorrow, he is answering based on millions of years ahead.

We look at joseph, who was sent to prison for obeying God. I would see it as demotion, and will be frustrated . I will do night vigil and command GOD to bring me out of this prison before 6am tomorrow morning like he did for paul and silas grin grin grin grin

Now if by 7am the next day i am still in that prison, i will give him the benefit of doubt till mid night. If i am still in that prison, i dont know what will happen. grin grin grin

In that situation, Joseph might be worried about that day and praying, but GOD will answer based on his plan to take joseph to the throne. So if we are in his shoes we will be frustrated because of the delay, not knowing the delay is for our own good.

When Josephs brothers, sold him to slavery, i am sure he prayed and begged GOD to reverse the situation. But GOD did not, because he had planed to use the situation to save his people from famine years ahead in the future.

So we must understand that our life is a script already written by GOD, we just have to trust and obey. He has not told us the rout we will take along the journey, but he has told us the destination.

Jer_29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

So we are assured that our end will be good.

Sincerely it will be difficult for me to explain more than i have done.... cheesy

I no sabi book enough maybe

1. The yield for the FGN 2020 15.54% (5YEARS) was 13.1% at the last auction

2. The yield changes through out the duration for sure but your coupon does not. But then the yield should only bother you when you intend to sell after you have purchased.....unlike in stocks and most other items in Bonds you buy at high yield and then sell when the yield is lower. If you hold to maturity...you have notin to bother with the yields fluctuation.

3 Yea at the first auction the yield is the coupon rate...ie at par. And subsequent reopening will change depending on the current market conditions..a unit which sold for N100 will now be sold at 105 or even at 95 depending on the market conditions..

It will diff for me to give real life situation....cos things like dirty and clean price will come in...

I will suggest you go in for the next auction...you can bid as little as 1000. It will help you to understand the dynamics bettet..
Is it better to trade on 91 days tbills at 10% till liquidity is mopped up from the system. Because investing for 4yrs at 13% is not attractive. I think its even better to invest in tbills at 12.5 for a year than 13% in bond.
