1. BARCODE: Original tint permit do comes with a barcode printed on it which carries your informations like name of owner, vehicle registration, chassis number, make of vehicle... If you get a permit without these informations correlating with your registered informations then it's fake!
2. VERIFICATION PORTAL: There's always a link on the barcode below your informations which will redirect you to your verification portal, copy the link and paste in your browser to verify your application status. This way you're sure it's original permit but if the link doesn't work then it's fake.
3. SIGNATURE: Sometimes it's always confusing to know if you're holding an original document in Nigeria cos fake ones always look better and appealing than the original, check the signature on your permit if it's fainted or bold... Fainted signatures shows they are scanned and edited which is likely to be a fake one but the bold and vibrant means it is authentic.
4. Let me make something clear to some Nairalanders. For the fact people put up items for sale does not mean that they are desperate or foollish.

I put up some items here and tagged all of them at 10k. Someone called me and was pricing everything 6k. Another was saying 7k. Unto what na? So the MIFI is now 3k abi? And the Nokia torch 2k? While the Bluetooth music player is now 1k? Atimes, lets be using our senses.

There is something you will price thinking you are smart. Without knowing you sound like a morron.

Lets stop underpricing stuffs even though its tagged clearance. Its better to find a relative and dash those things to than to undersell a working product. People sell not because they are hungry. But to get some cash back from there items that are no longer needed. Not as if we are unbundling scraps. Thankiu.

Can't there be confirmation sites? Log in with the VIN and everything should be sorted asap. Customs should do this too instead of making money out of the innocents.
The NPF site can also be used as confirmation if you have your application Id and email.

Unfortunately, I was just turned back right now. I took the Tint Permit Application print out there; Eleyele Area Command, Ibadan. The light complexion lady officer handed back my print out after I responded that I understood it is free to her 'So, bring the N10,000'.

She murmured under her breath that I should go and wait for the free. She said did i expect her to process one for me with her salary..

I was like 'Really!!'.

I don't know what next to do..

I have asked this question severally,I wasn't able to get an answer,I just feel since the plate number and tint is in the name of the previous owner,you will get a new plate number for the vehicle,NPF will modify the data on the old permit in put yours and you will do biometric and capture for the new one on your name to be printed out.
It's not done that way... You will apply for a new one if you've done the change of ownership... Whatsapp or call 08144476474 for a new permit stress and hassle free within few days
