Number of cycles left, isn't quite the same as battery depreciation (which I was warning against); depreciation is the rate at which you lose cycles left. E.g. plenty of heat will quicken the depreciation of your battery and leave your battery in a poorer condition than if you used it in a cooler place. That's the kind of effect the voltage thing has. There's a reason why some manufacturers (laptops too) include settings to limit the maximum charge of your battery, it's for the sake of longevity.

Yes, heat destroys battery, but using to 0% had nothing to do with heat.

Heat arises when charging at high voltages quick/unregulated chargers, charging your phone under hot conditions, using your phone under hot temperatures, charging and using your phone etc.

So you're not wrong, but using till 0% relates more to discharge cycle than heat.

Don't do that often, li-pol batteries, as used in most smartphones these days, don't take extremely low or extremely high (internal) voltages well. It's recommended to always keep your battery between 20-80% for best longevity.

More like doing that triggers full cycle. Battery usually have between 400 & 500 charging cycles before their capacity drops to about 80%. Doing full discharges often will make you lose some of your battery capacity quickly.

Also note that if you're charging partially, you're also using part of the cycle, just that two 50-100% charges doesn't necessarily mean 1 full cycle, it could be three or four times before it counts it as a full cycle.

The Gcam. If you know that flower well, you'll understand. Maybe it has slightly more vibrant colors, but it's closer to the real life look than the stock. The stock is kinda overexposed (whitish kind of).

I believe your question has been answered by someone else. If possible you can get 0.5m for your powerbank and 1m for your charger.

Well, to me, the only area where the stock camera performs better than the Gcam is when it comes to portrait mode. The degree of blur is higher in stock than gcam.

However, some gcam mods + google photos can help you adjust the blur immediately or well after taking the portrait photos.

No u don't need to stop, and u won't lose more power that's why they taper from 85%. It's fast charging that has more power loss due to conversion as it heats up... Slow charging is more conservative.... And yes you're ryt... Intelligent powerbank will make it a lot easier to follow my suggestion.

I could argue further constructively because there are so many variables involved, but I don't have strength.

However, you're right that higher voltages (fast charging) leads to more power loss (but consider the efficiency and other variables).

The most important thing is to select a good powerbank with a good circuit and intelligent control, and use a shorter USB cable to charge from your powerbank (if possible).

Reason is below these points might trigger fast charging and beyond these points, it'll taper off(slow) till 100% to conserve battery life...
Now triggering fast charging, produces heat, heat is energy, u get to lose some juice during this process... But if it doesn't trigger fast charging and charges slow all tru, or u plug to ur powerbank say all tru 7hr-9hr on screen time which is almost equivalent of a full charge on ur phone, would notice that the powerbank would Last almost double the time it would give u if u charge from 0-100...
This is tru everytime i do this...

And some would say you should stop charging your phone with powerbank at around 85-90% because from then on, it charges slow, thereby leading to more power loss due to conversion.

The most important thing is to get a powerbank with an intelligent feature to automatically produce power in accordance with the needs of the phone.

Most phones will not charge fast once it's over 85%. A good powerbank should identify that and not produce power meant for fast charging.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but with an intelligent powerbank, the difference won't be much or none.

Nah, but I have poweramp and since I installed it, I probably used it only twice. Don't have the time to customize it yet.

On Android, initially, MX Player was my go to video player. For the past 2 years however, it's been VLC. I prefer it to MX.

I have deep scratches on mine already, one on the front and one on the back couples with minor light scratches. Tho i did scratch keys on it on purpose with a lot of force.

I got a slightly visible scratch on it and some other minute scratches that are not really visible, despite being careful and not putting it in my pocket often. I was forced to get a screen protector. Now the display is not as sharp as it was without the protector

It's been long I used a screen protector (those days when all those thin plastic protectors were still in vogue)

I can see that it took your phone 41m to get to 94%. You can't conclude that the battery is not good enough. Sometimes, the battery usage is not evenly spread on the percentage count. What you should do is observe the usage up till like 20% and study the discharging trend. That way, you can understand how your battery works.

Also know that Redmi 7 has a less powerful processor and just HD display, so you can't compare the power usage to that of RN7.

Just observe. I believe some updates will still be pushed to fix the battery issue, so that bugs can be fixed and the battery life extended.

You guys should chill with the way you want to pump current into your battery. The follow come charger or max, the QC 3.0 is okay to charge up your phone.

Afterall, the maximum voltage of the RN7 battery is 4.4 compared to the usual 4.2V.
