How come you paid 55k? I applied online on Nigerian Immigration Service website in November and they stated 70k there, which was what I paid.

He obviously paid for 5yrs 64page passport while you are viewing the price for 10yrs passport

Funny enough, I did a search on google about it some hours ago. The thought of having one just dropped into my heart.

One can get it through the Nigeria immigration website. You print out the form, make a payment of #17,000 and submit to your nearest processing office. It shouldnt take more than two to three days, all things being equal.

You might end up making a mistake and loosing your money.

There are two kinds of e passport issued by NIS.
1.THE STANDARD ELECTRONIC PASSPORT
2 . THE ENHANCED ELECTRONIC PASSPORT.

THE enhanced e passport is an improved version of the standard e passport and is costlier.
At the moment it is only issued in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, and Rivers so if you are in any of the above stated states and you go ahead to pay 17k my brother you may consider your money lost though it can be refunded but you know how it is asking govt to refund your money.
But if you are in other states I did not mention go ahead and pay the 17k for now.
Though both payment platforms are different.

That's supposed to be complicated, maybe even impossible. But I had someone with a similar issue and we visited NIS just to satisfy curiousity. To my surprise, we met a connect there who is a mid-level immigration officer. He said all that's required is sworn court affidavit and 150k. This was like in 2017 ooo... But I still have his number cos I linked my sister who got married and changed her names. He actually did it for her in one day. Walking away from there, I was heavily under the impression that even without court affidavit, they'll be happier cos it'll be an excuse to charge more.
Bottom line: Nothing is impossible in this jungle called Nigeria. Just have the money and they'll change your complexion too on your passport!

Change of details on passport comes in different categories, some are almost impossible.
There are also requirements you have to present before you will be considered.
Change of name due to marriage or divorce must be accompanied with your application and evidence of marriage and divorce.

Any other reason for change of details on your passport is must also be accompanied with an application in that regard and documents backing up your claim
Your application must state the reason why you are changing details on your passport
It could be spelling error, change of faith, family resolution, adoption and name rearrangement.

Whatever reason you are giving must be accompanied with a corresponding convincing document backing up your claim.


Also note that National Identity Number issued by NIMC is now a compulsory and added requirement for whatever reason that make you need an international passport

i had a chat with the guy yesterday and he told me his heart. he said and i quote that there are two law conflicting in this marriage. that of the church conflicts with that of the court. he said that he cannot agree to two laws at the same time. he said the church's law depend on the bible which says "for better for worse , till death do us part" but the courts law says otherwise. he went further to say that if he goes ahead to do the court wedding he will not go for church wedding again cos his marriage cannot thrive under two distinct, different and conflicting laws. he has not told the girl and gave her the options to either take court or church wedding, and she said she wants both to occur.
the church from my own research does not recognize any marriage done by the court u can wed in the court and come to church to bless ur marriage but if d church requires any contribution from the married ones u r not involved.

CONSEQUENTLY AS FROM THE 1ST OF JANUARY 2011 ONLY HOLDERS OF THE HARMONISED ECOWAS ELECTRONIC(SMART) PASSPORT(E-PASSPORT) WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL OUT OF NIGERIA.
THE E - PASSPORT CAN BE OBTAINED FROM PASSPORT OFFICES IN ABUJA AND ALL STATES OF THE FEDERATION AS WELL AS NIGERIAN MISSION ABROAD.
