UBA UNIPORT is USELESS, the staff there love confusion and they never seem to have enough money. The airconditioners don't work and they really don't seem to care. I went there today and the glass on the door was broken. The a/cs were on all right but it really did not make any sense. There is no bulk room and its a question of man no man. They just installed an ATM which they are luring students to get but on careful scrutiny of the form, the type of clauses i saw just made me throw away the piece of paper; in any case their system is down quite frequently so withdrawing from any branch its a theoretical gimmick. I don't blame them though because they got no real competition for miles around. |
today was like any other day, went to the work, went to the bank, went to the airport and then ended up at home. I did not see any enumerator. its like i have or will be counted in absentia. |
thanks for the comment about the battery and the power source cause we are still used to the desktop mentality. |
i will place an order for another battery from the US. In Port Harcourt, IBM thinkpads have been a failure of sorts, its toshiba then compaq that peeps are comfortable with. |
all these nigerian brands i fear em from a distance. |
i use a Toshiba PIII 500 mhz with 192 mb of ram and it serves me because i have regular NEPA. I wont recommend an IBM for you because of their think pad experinment which was a huge failure. Most second hand laptops have battery life that can go for only 90 minutes so you be careful. Another thing to look out for is the storage capacity and the clarity of the screen. I have never really liked a dell and its not much different from our zinox. For second hand laptops and that is what your price range can get you. Go for compaq or toshiba as they are the tested and proven brands. Buy a spare battery if you can; better still have someone bring in the second hand from the US for you cos its cheaper there. |
someone should please define bride price? then define dowry? then define that list that the inlaws bring which includes so many items some of which you can never see in this life time. that list can include motor cycle, a white cock with one eye, one geepee tank, 10 george wrappers, etc, etc, etc - i mean at the site of it some people have suddenly developed temporal memory loss cos it amounts to some good cash. i wonder whats the point if after doing all the requirements you get into debt and can't even live life with the woman you love. i am still waiting. |
just say it. |
the students of the federal government colleges in port harcourt have been sent home. driving through port harcourt from rumokoro to rumokuta down till rumuola; traffic is unusually light except for the lane leading out of the city. Garrison also had some heavy traffic. Queues for fuel can be noticed and it appears a lot of people are going to their ROOTS. |
i just heard LAGOS will be shut down throughout the census. how sad? i though TINUBU should have known better. Here in Port Harcourt its business as usual except for friday and saturday. |
shey na today dem know say charles taylor no good? |
t4cash has said it all |
this is another method of chopping money, its going to be a huge failure. Already they have started changing the allowances of the enumerators sparking off demonstrations at different locations across nigeria. |
Many Nigerian Businesses are unwilling to pay. Even those that have websites do not maintain it. I heard a radio announcement about a company and went to check out the website; It had so many broken links. The time taking to respond to nigerian website queries is another problem. |
if you can't get a clipper INSIST that the barber sterilizes his clipper before using it on your hair. |
what is the difference between you and your sister seeing that you had sex before marriage? abortion is not an option in this case and i think as an adult you should sit down with your "MAN" and talk things over. Your kid sister should be counselled and then asked to go and seen no more. did this thing happen in nigeria? |
na money dem dey find |
Not a little |
its a reflection of the economic state in Nigeria and some ethnic nationalities are notorious for this vice. |
if they believe in it then they can go ahead. |
this is so sad; am ashamed for that nigerian man. Imagine the effrontery telling you that your still his wife; once beaten twice shy - shine your eye. |
@cabali nigeria is full of drama so don't rush to such a hasty conclusion. |
The man should go and face the bad roads and loads of dirt in Aba. |
what where we scored high on in that report? |
i think its a gift from the devil |
i'll ask her to bring her CV; then we have to set up an e-meeting to critically examine issues. |
I have rehearsals on friday at 6.30 in the evening i hope no one will disturb me; as for our muslim brethren that have prayers at about 1.30 in the afternoon, will they be counted in the mosques? |
am watching and waiting. |
i have learnt in the business school that is seldom only one way for doing anything in life but i think it is "expedient" that Mr. President go for a third term at least to fulfil the prophecy. |
I voted for Chris Okotie as I felt he was treading on grounds that angels fear. |
I do not have faith in NTA News? their reporting is too one sided. They never show any contrary opinion. Infact I must commend the MEND guys for totally boycotting our news media as they have been compromised. |
