Gradually but steadily. Premium times has taken over investigative journalism in Nigeria from Sahara reporters.

Sowore has joined badt gang.

Premium times should keep it clean if they want to last
Premium times are just errand boys doing the bidding of some political master somewhere.

asuustrike2009:
There hasn't been improvement in electricity in many cities and towns across Nigeria. Fewer persons have single phase prepaid meters as I speak.
There has been a large and noticeable improvement in many areas of Rivers State, there are currently jingles on radio begging people to allow the free installation of single phase meters in their areas but some bluntly refuse.

There are some backward areas where the people feel because they are indigenes they should not pay bills, PHED just marked them and carved them out to be in everlasting darkness.

About 3 days now even with the heavy Port Harcourt rains, there is still light.

A lot of people want to and indeed have the right to hate/dislike Buhari and APC but truth be told some things are changing for the better, you just have to be located in areas that are organized. We had low current on Saturday, the light went and after about 2 hours it returned full, the PHED guys came to rectify the fault. They know that for every hour of no light millions of naira will be lost in revenue from this area where the least monthly bill is 5000 even for a self contained.

In the end, it is the Ekiti people that will decide via the ballot box but this is another sad indication that Nigeria is not yet ripe for State police.
Politics › Re: Commercial Buses & Cars Parked At Ekiti Government House On The Order Of Fayose by otokx(m): 9:01am On Jul 10, 2018
10k per day, interesting. This is another reason why Nigeria is not yet ripe for state police.
Politics › Re: National Grid Collapses, Generation Drops To 92MW by otokx(m): 8:54am On Jul 10, 2018
Haters will always hate instead of making concrete efforts to better their life.

There is currently a grand plan to issue single phase prepaid meters (ppm) to every household in Port Harcourt free of charge.

Having recently moved into an area that values and enjoys light ie they do not bribe the phed officials but pay their bills, we received our ppm about 3 weeks ago. There were still households that refused the meters to be installed in their premise.

Some things are improving in Nigeria and we should acknowledge that.

For those who still suffer no electricity and you pay bills, organize yourselves and visit your disco offices to complain.

Electricity supply is nothing less than 18 hours a day and we are not bothered when the light goes because we are not going to be charged.

There is light currently.

In a sane country it will only take less than 2 hours for NYSC to confirm if Aunty Kemi’s certificate is real or from Oluwole. Nigeria is so messed up.
Indeed
Politics › Re: National Grid Collapses, Generation Drops To 92MW by otokx(m): 7:15am On Jul 10, 2018
Overall, there has been an improvement in electricity supply in Nigeria. More people have single phase prepaid meters now than before.

It appears there is a subtle decentralization of the national grid so the effect of a collapse is felt more by leeching communities.

Politics › Re: Kemi Adeosun Applied For Exemption Certificate – NYSC by otokx(m): 8:53pm On Jul 09, 2018
Avicol:
Please lets stop arguing blindly based on sentiments. I know we all love kemi adeosun. However PT has raised very pertinent questions.

1. Kemi graduated at 22; even if returned to Nigeria at 99, she must do nysc for 1 year.

2. Regarding exemptions, age is not the only grounds. There are four grounds of exemptions: if you GRADUATE after turning 30; if you hold a national honour; if you served in police or army for 9month or if u are a staff of army or intelligent agencies.

3. However, all the grounds of exemptions are irrelevant for Kemi because d nysc exemption certificate she presented states clearly dat she was exempted on the ground of AGE. The problem is she is not QUALIFIED for age exemption even if nysc accepts dey issued the certificate.

4. Finally the certificate was purportedly signed in september 2009 by nysc director general dat retired in January 2009. How is dat possible? This is also a question to be answered.

So no matter how you twist it KEMI has a case to answer her. The argument she is overqualified for nysc is false. Even at 50 you can still do nysc if you graduate before 30. NOW she cannot even hide under any other grounds of exemptions because the certificate clearly says it was age exemption she used. Interesting stories anyways...
If NYSC says Kemi has no case to answer then she has no case to answer.

Stop disgracing yourself in a public forum. Exception is for people who graduated while above 30yrs. So even if you are 70 when you returned to the country, you still have to serve as long as you graduated before 30yrs. I had a physics teacher at school who schooled abroad and was above 40 but was serving.
