Tajudeen40: i quite agree but if i may ask you where do you see the closing date of payment
the concept of acceptance fee implies a kind of pre registration; for now there is no closing date it appears but those affected should keep an eye on the university website.
Education › Re: 2015/2016 Uniport Admission Thread by otokx(m): 10:12am On Sep 13, 2013
Tajudeen40: they only made mention of oct 7 has to when payment will comence but no official closing date as regard payment yet but definately it will last till the end of second semester and 2nd semester have not even started
Do not use the old ways to look at the new things, acceptance fee is meant to be paid before the main registration starts.

Tajudeen40: i will advise all admited cand not to rush in making payment because the charges is likely to fall after strike and i have brought it to the notice of sug presido who happen to be my main main man and he said something has to be done as they are not inform b4 the increament
If the university website says you should pay before a certain time then please do so or you may end up LOOSING the admission.

goldfish80: They should allow the boy go,what else do they want from him?
Allow him go to where; he has no home, his mother is saying one thing, the father is saying another and that is the harsh reality of the family unit in Nigeria. Children being left to their own devices by irresponsible parents who turn around to claim that they are hustling.

No need coming down to UNIPORT for those of you outside Port Harcourt. The banks have not started receiving money. Things are still in motion but will be much clearer after the release of the supplementary list. The university website should be checked regularly for updates and also this thread.
Business › Re: UBA: What's Killing Your Great Brand?-A FOLLOW UP AFTER MEETING UBA GROUP by otokx(m): 4:29am On Sep 11, 2013
All Nigerian backs have their bad days but in my area, UBA is doing very fine. Banking is more than wearing uniform and freezing the room; Its about getting prompt service.

Nigerians too can be quite impatient and some people no matter their qualifications ought not to be employed in any capacity. I'm not a chauvinist but lots of the time once poor service is mentioned the next thing you hear is a woman was involved. Is it to receive money & post it on the computer, a man will do 3 customers whereas the woman (most of them) will be battling with the keyboard. Once she is pregnant just forget it as the whole world now owes her a duty especially in Nigeria.

Just when you think you have seen the height of wickedness mixed with greed and mediocrity in Nigeria they come up with a more efficient way of destruction. Yet my people are content sending their prayers to the clouds.

GEJ should be allowed to continue his attempt at delivering the dividends of democracy.

As for ASUU, they should continue the struggle so that this will be the very last strike.

There is currently a demonstration at the Choba junction of the East West road by members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). People travelling through that route are stranded there; if only they know they can turn around and route through airport road to Elele and back to East West road. Over 50 policemen are there watching; its a lazy demonstration, they cannot even raise up the placards. Guess when they are tired they will go.

Tell Mr Minister that there is still no electricity in UNIPORT where he claims multiple projects are going on.

Armed robbers are currently terrorizing the staff in the official quarters due to the constant and perpetual blackouts especially at night. The current NASU chairman is a victim of such attack.
