Well! Well!! Well!!! I just finished "the judge from hell". It took me two weeks or so to complete. A drama that I'd have watched in 2-3 days. Since I'm bored lemme just drop a review here before taking up the 'good boy' drama.

First of all, the worldbuilding and lore are just laughable, to be honest. If you're going to adapt real-world religions and mythologies and change up stuff, at least put some care into it and have some internal logic. What do you mean Gabriel came all the way to rescue Justitia from Hell (her original home BTW) because she's suddenly a good person, when said angel didn't rescue Daon (was brought back by Bael) or the human Kang Bitna, who we never hear about again? Justitia is a DEMON and moreover the personification of justice. She shouldn't have to abide by human rules of good or bad. Also, Satan rebelling against Lucifer...? There were no other demonic names to use? And if Justitia was saved for being "good", which happened because she was becoming more human, why were other demons who were becoming human then being punished for doing the same? Mando can become a Christian, then later become Buddhist? To me, the writers were just doing whatever here, but I am open to any explanations.

Then when it comes to the plot, there were so many head-scratchers. Here are a few:

- Arong stopped chasing demons to become a full-time fan girl? Moreover, she was surrounded by demons who were practically human: Mando, the clean-up crew, etc, and she did nothing.

- What was the point in Bael asking Justitia to free J and send him directly to Hell? What would it have mattered to Bael in any case which murderers Justitia allowed to be punished by the law versus punished in her usual way? Also Justitia is apparently Bael's chosen successor but he sent an assassin after her?

- What was the point of the redevelopment plot if it played such an important role in finding the Kylum? All they did was mention it a few times until J revealed that it was where the Kylum landed.

- Speaking of the Kylum and Satan, both ended up being dispatched so easily, I can't believe they were set up as some kind of Big Bad and J the HUMAN serial killer ended up being so much more threatening (at least according to the drama's logic).

- I'm still wondering why any of the criminals' cases had to even make it to court before Justitia dealt with them in her own court? Once she knew who they were, she could have gone after them before their cases made it to trial and it wouldn't have mattered. Or she could have properly sentenced them then either have them broken out of jail or get them before they get to the prison like she did for the DID faker.

Also, you will never see shoddier police work and legal justice work in Kdramaland than in this drama. Honestly if you're hoping for some proper legal/cop drama action, think again.

I was also not a fan of the romance; I completely skipped their dating montage. I think the drama could have worked without it; I much preferred the flirty-hostile banter they had in the first few episodes. I really couldn't see what they liked about each other; all the FL did was look into the ML's eyes and her heart started beating. I'm not even sure at what point the ML fell in love. Not good enough. I think a slow, subtle attraction that came from them teaming up with each other would have worked better, and maybe they get together at the end or the drama leaves it open-ended.

PSH acting was top notch! Kudos to her and the villains in EP 1-7. They were the only stand out in the drama. All other stuffs were shitty and mediocre. Overall I'd give it a 5/10 rating. No offense

This is not a review o, it's a rant 🤣😂. We understand. The best thing about the drama was her acting. It showed that she has improved.

By the way did you see how they didn't even give us much about that huiji girl? So she caused the actual fire and he took the fall for her. Why did she start the fire? Was she being bullied? Was it because she wasn't doing well with archery? We're her parents being too harsh on her? Is she an arsonist? Did she hate school or was she just mentally ill? Gave us nothing after making her disturb the boy with phone calls upandan like he did something serious to hurt her🙄 why did he feel that guilty if all he did was cover up for her crime 🙄 made no darn sense

Exactly. She caused the fire and yet was saying he should die as if he scared her. Because they didn't show her face in the beginning and she was in the hospital, the scenario that played in my mind was that a ghost started the fire ( since he was plagued with bad luck) and she was unlucky to be with him then and had burns all over so she hated him for her scars. Her hating him for taking the blame makes no sense. Most dramas writers have a 'finishing' problem.....but who am I to judge? I don't even have the 'starting' talent.😀

The dramas released this month are a little disappointing. Trigger has good reviews so I downloaded the 1st 2 episodes but haven't seen them yet.

Head over heels has ended and not the writer pretty much finally falling for all the yeye ways other writers end. The drama was solid from episode 1-9 so I had high hopes but 😩 first of all, unnecessary disappearance/time jump lol I hate that trope so much. The Jagajaga Way episode 10 ended is also the Jagajaga Way episode 11 started cos we saw bongsu being sad cos he basically killed the general and he ran out the window. Next thing we know he's on a date with seonga? 🤔 Only scratch that, it's not him but actual gyeonu?? 🤔 Then bongsu follows her upandan after being spelled 🙄 gyeonu becomes a ghost slayer🙄😂 yeomhwa keeps saying, if you see her run away from her cos she'll kill you. He finds her and what happened? Zero killing happened 😂 they went back to being friends so what was all the warning about 🤣 uncle jiho finally closed his first love chapter in big old episode 12🙄 no he should have continued till episode 105. Bongsu ends up not being a real human being but an imaginary friend 😂😂 the baby boy is a little cutie tho. Awwn childhood seonga is eunseo from hunter with a scalpel. She's slowly climbing up my favorite child actress list. Anyway we thank them for the happy ending. I love all the babies in the drama, looking forward to seeing them in other works. That flower master's shrine always made me laugh, he had bottles of beer and things that looked like groundnuts in bottles and I couldn't tell if his shrine also doubled as a grocery store or if it was for him to snack on or if they are supposed to be offerings for his deity🤷 it was sha always cracking me up. By the way, Park Seong A would make a really terrible girlfriend/wife cos what do you mean she'll be missing important events in her significant other's lives because she needs to sit and console crying ghosts lmao I would divorce you ASAP please. The living should matter more than the dead thank you very much!

I agree, the ending was not as strong as the beginning. The spirit did not want to be evil but aunty wicked shaman kept telling everyone that he is evil and needs to be killed. She didn't deserve the ending she got. Sharing millions and walking away on her own two feet. Also, I didn't like that the second male lead and the class president's ship that was briefly introduced didn't sail. He had no reason to remain single waiting for the female lead when he had been told over and over again that she loved the male lead. It was ok for him to miss his best friend without putting his life on hold while waiting for her. The writer fall our hand at the end.

I loved American movies but I had to stop them after I started raising my kids. Unfortunately, korean dramas are following suit now. I finished S line yesterday and I can't believe I saw a nudee scene.
Me I watch almost all except Filipino

I watched the 1st episode of S Line and I was irritated by the red lines above their heads, especially for those that the lines are so many like the male lead. Not irritated because of what the lines meant but the way it was sticking out of their heads. I just couldn't continue.

Even the evil spirit that she created is not as evil as she keeps saying that he is. He is just a young boy that wants to love and play. She literally interrupted the female lead when she was appeasing all the hundred souls they the wicked shaman killed to make him evil. Make she day go abeg.

You are right about Hidden Love but I think they pulled it off well. He didn't 'like' her until she was in the university and was of age which they made a point of letting the audience know. Also, they made too much mention, in my opinion, about the age difference (6 years) which wasn't bad.

Concerning the Period Drama, I downloaded episode 1 of The Immortal Ascension which is currently airing. Will see how it goes.

recently stumbled upon a Chinese short drama called Marry Me Again and quite liked it. So I decided to watch another drama that I heard about before but didn't watch then because I felt I just started kdrama and didn't want to be introduced to another non-English one. Tried Hidden Love and absolutely loved it.

I can't compare them to Korean dramas yet but what I can say is that Asian dramas (loved old Indian movies. The most recent I have seen is Baalubali) is much better than American ones. American series and movies have gotten so bad, in my opinion, that they have resorted to recycling old movies and series and still mess them up.

Want to try another one that I heard about and wanted to watch but didn't. Falling Into Your Smile. I hope I enjoy it as much as the others.

I just don't get her hatred for the male lead. Let's say his family hired her a shaman for his 'deliverance' or whatever, why is she moving heaven and earth to kill him? She even went as far as cursing the grandmother in death just because she loved the boy. Seriously, it will really be a satisfying ending if he is her son.


Also, I hope they get to explain why he was born with the curse.

By the way, I've been happy that this writer actually gave us a good, cohesive story but e be like say Dem don smoke some of the weed wey bitchxrich writer smoke cos what was the final minutes of episode 10? This writer wants me to believe that jiho was worried about bongsu refusing to return gyeonu's body, he didn't discuss with seonga, he didn't go to seonga's spirit mother or the other good shamans but he went to yeomhwa? The same yeomhwa that he called scary and evil but with feeble powers? The same yeomhwa that I'm sure seonga must have gisted him that she was the one that had been disturbing gyeonu? He now believed her and carried ring and gave her?? MBA that one no make sense at all, it's unbelievable and uncharacteristic of jiho's personality. They should have found a better way to write that part better. Anyway I need the drama to do and end. I like it but if they're going to keep dragging things out and moving from one villain to another, they can just end it today biko. Its already getting tiring.

By the way I've always thought choo young woo and his younger brother are some of the prettiest siblings in k-ent but omo I saw a video of their dad when he was around their age (their parents are both retired models by the way) and lmao they are not fine at all cos their dad was/is wayyy more gorgeous. If he was young and active in this era he'd be everywhere and I'd actually build a shrine to worship his hotness🤣. That reminds me people are just weird I remember reading a comment where someone said they hated choo young woo cos he turned his back on BL's and started playing straight characters and I'm just like 🤔 People dey high o. Anyway his younger brother just had his first acting role in a BL movie, I guess by the time he becomes more popular and starts playing straight roles in regular dramas he'll also gain another hate🙄 lol funny how both brothers started as models, then dabbled in bl, I bet we'll soon see the younger brother in a regular drama.
