I can definitely relate to your experience. Recently, I was chatting with someone new to Korean dramas, and our conversation naturally veered towards discussing some of the popular dramas of the year. One of the series we talked about was "Study Group," which they hadn't seen yet. I confidently told them not to worry because I had a copy saved on my flash drive. To my dismay, I later discovered that I had actually stored it on a different device that I no longer had. I felt bad about disappointing them, but despite this mishap, "Study Group" remains my top favorite drama for the first half of the year.

Interestingly, I had downloaded "Vincenzo" late last year at a time when there weren’t any new dramas captivating enough to catch my interest. Despite all the buzz around it, I downloaded it with some reluctance, and even after doing so, still couldn’t find the motivation to start watching. The situation wasn't helped by the frequent power outages from NEPA and other distractions. Then, unexpectedly, a break period came along that turned into an impromptu holiday, and I found myself extremely bored. It was around April or May, nearly four months later, that I finally decided to give "Vincenzo" a shot. To my surprise, I thoroughly enjoyed it and was kicking myself for having postponed watching it for so long. I still have it on my phone and have watched it about four to five times since then. Such dramas, along with favorites like "Business Proposal," are perfect for lifting your spirits whenever you need a mood boost.

I will get to the ones I have saved but haven't seen yet. I haven't added to the unwatched ones in a while. Like I said, I have watched but saved about three.

How can you even forget how season 1 of alchemy of souls ended? That last scene scarred me for life. I still remember the narration of season 1 in s02e01

"Naksu was a maid of his and the same time his betrothed. In return for his unconditional love for her, she stabbed him with a sword" 😭😭

😀. I remember the plot and all and I know that she stabbed him even when he knew she was been controlled and would kill him. He died and was burnt but survived. I just want to refresh my memory in other aspects. May God help me. In my attempt enjoy myself while watching it, I left it for too long.

If you eventually want to give sageuk another chance, just start with Alchemy Of Souls. I just remembered now that that's another drama that I downloaded but haven't watched. The season 2. As it is now, I have forgotten how the season 1 ended so I will have to do a refresher inorder to understand the season 2. 🤦

Normally when I watch the first episode of a drama series, I know if I will love,enjoy,manage or discontinue it. If it's a drama that I will love because the first episode was really good, I will decide to binge the rest. I just download all episodes as they are released weekly and watch when it ends. In fact, I have the ones that I downloaded for same reason and haven't seen till date. Eg, One The Woman, Business Proposal, etc. I still have them saved to watch later. They are a few however, that I really loved but have not been able the stop watching to binge later....Knight Flower, Study Group, When The Phone Rings and Head Over Heels. But unlike other dramas that I watch and delete, I don't delete these one. They are saved in my flash drive.

Hunter with a scalpel has ended. It had a really good story but man the characters were Soo annoying. I can't believe the only adult character in the whole drama that didn't annoy me was the villain 😩 God abeg. Everyone else was stupid with a capital letter S! Infact in the last 4 episodes, every time I saw the police guys, I could literally feel my skin go hot cos my blood was boiling lmao they are slow, stupid and annoying 😩 I said it last week but I've never really seen a worse drama police team like these people. Suddenly in the final week they were now getting angry at their ogas for not allowing them investigate lmao people that the criminal was literally under their nose and they couldn't catch him. I feel like the writer of the story hated the characters he created cos that's the only excuse I can come up with for their lack of sense. Also the male and female leads keep repeating the same mistake. Oga told aunty, next time anything happens tell us, don't try to solve it on your own, I will help you. What does she do when her dad came looking for her? Kept it to her fu((king self! Oga keeps saying trust me, trust me, when she tells him she'd like to help, it became no you can't 🤣🤣 lmao in the first place does he even inspire trust? You had 12 whole episodes to catch the bad guy and you couldn't, why should anyone trust you. If not for that watch, they wouldn't have been able to save seeun. Anyway aside from the silly characters I actually enjoyed the drama with the kurukere subtitles. I was surprised eunseo was a real life child and not an imaginary friend. How did the dad manage to raise her so far away from his evil deeds and how did she not notice the weirdness. That part was a bit ehhhh for me but I can still understand it since he's not her birth father. By the way, shout-out to the kid actresses in the drama 👏👏👏 they were amazing in their roles. Poor eunseo's death was totally avoidable and unnecessary but original seeun was taught not to trust anyone which is why she refused to ask anyone for help while the girl was dying, I'm glad she was able to forgive herself. I like the happy ending. Finally she was able to use her father's weakness for her to end him and even though they didn't give us full on romance, they did give us a hint just like in face me and I am grateful for any crumb I can get. I really wish we saw that forensic lady betray her boss cos I know that is how their matter will end. All the time they spent showing us incompetent police people, they should have shown the end of those forensic people.

Head over heels continues to be so good. I'm loving it. Thankfully it seems the writer isn't going the love triangle route cos uri 2nd male lead has calmed down and is being the best friend ever lol I love him. Thankfully there's someone else who has a crush on him so here's hoping the writer directs him that way.

I had downloaded upto episode 7 of Hunter With A Scapel but had only watched episodes 1-5 when I read your review last week. After reading it, I just went and deleted the episodes 6 and 7. I was struggling with it before then but when in your review you said the characters didn't improve I felt there was no need to continue.



I am also enjoying Head Over Heels. Concerning the second male lead, did you miss the part where the class president now likes him 😀. It was nice seeing her blush when he touched her face ( the scene after the gym class where the first and second male lead went to wash their faces and the ghost carrying girl brought her phone for the second male lead to speak with the female lead).

For the most part, yes. But Doctor Romantic 1,2 & 3 was far better than what Netflix put out in the name of medical drama. In my opinion.

Some weeks or months ago, I can't even remember sef, I came here to rant about Crushology 101, saying that the drama stressed me because of the main leads. Now I know. Three dramas of the female lead have led me to conclude. She is the source of my stress😀.

I am currently watching Dear M. Lovely college drama with three main couples and one devil. The female lead in Crushology 101 is one of the couple here and she is annoying me, like a lot. I initially understood her insecurities around her 'friend' and wondered why she and her boyfriend were so naive and slow to know what's happening but mehn, this girl need beating.

How can you break up with your boyfriend on his birthday without telling him why? Especially since the evil friend is still around him. Ok so now that he is single and miserable, does she want him to fall for the wicked friend?
If I am the boyfriend or ex now, I won't reconcile with her, I am in episode 8 now so don't know if they made up. Even if she eventually tells him why she broke up with him, let everybody just go their separate way. He deserves someone better abeg. She is just an annoying idiot.

Yoo yeon suk and SEo hyun Jin have been offered a drama, if they accept it'll be a reunion for them. I never watched any of the romantic doctor Kims but they were the main couple in season 1 and netizens gushed a lot about their chemistry. I have zero plans to ever watch that drama so I hope they accept this one let me see the so called chemistry for myself.[/quote]Hahahaha. I really enjoyed this drama! The fact that they made it 12 episodes instead of 16, ensured that it didn't have a lot of draggy moments.

I loved the main and side couples a lot. The newscaster and the doctor were too cute together!!! I obviously loved the chemistry between Sae-on and Hee Jo. Ugh. Love love love them!

And then watching BTS clips of them and seeing how they flow well together, I want to ship but I REFUSE TO! 🫠

Now, to some key points, some of which drove me crazy:

* After everything they've been through. Was he the one who killed her brother?

So after all the wasted years of them not enjoying their marriage, this man had the audacity to run away to 'punish' himself? Universe save me from foolish men.

* Warzone Everybody is mad in this drama.

So this babe packed her bag and flew to a 'warzone' because of her idiot husband? See why people should not fall in love? Foolish decisions always follow.

Back to Sae-on. Chile. So even if he wanted to punish himself, he went to somewhere he could die? Like what was he thinking? That last episode annoyed the hell out of me, I won't lie.

* Let's say his 2 years of military service and extra training from working in the presidential office was how he was able to save her from the rebels.

These fools now started screaming and quarrelling outside? Deep sigh.

First of all, they told Aunty that the place he was staying was rebel territory and she had to be careful. This fine girl wore her Christmas cloth that was WHITE and started running around in the forest.

She should have just carried a banner saying 'kidnap me, please'

* Then they did not consummate their marriage since o. They didn't do it in the comfort of their luxury apartment in Seoul. Instead they decided to do it in the middle of nowhere, kudos to them

This one annoyed me. Did you see their different beds in their Seoul apartment? But they decided to have their first time in where I don't know on what I don't know.

I hope bed bugs entered their private parts. I hate what I hate.

* Her mother and sister can eat shit for all I can. Especially her mother, very useless.

* What else? Oh the villains, hmm. Anyway, this wasn't a serious crime drama so I'll forgive them.

The 'real' Sae-on was just too clumsy to not have been caught all this while. Come on.

Then his adoptive mother was just in need of psychiatric help and I say this as a matter of fact. Well, she can get that in prison, right?

* Then that secretary of his, I wanted to beat him up. I understand his motive sha.

And Sae-on brought him back to work for him? How do you build up trust in such a person again?

Side note: I thought Sae-on was the twin brother he was looking for until it was hinted that he was the chairman's son.

I'll give the drama a 7/10. It would have been an 8/10 but that warzone angle was too unnecessary 🥲

I will probably rewatch this one sometime in the future. Review/Rant over.

In Our Unwritten Seoul, did I miss the scene where the farm owner guy realised that he has been working with the city twin all along? Cos the next thing I heard was him calling her by her actual name and she didn't ask him how he knew.

I want to guess that he knew when he met them both and the 'city one' was more familiar with his grandfather but it would have been nice to see him tell us.

The disappointing thing for me in the season 2 was that his fighting didn't improve at all. He became weaker in my opinion. I enjoyed it a bit because of the second lead (the guy in Twinkling Watermelon). I loved his character/acting in all the dramas I have seen him in.

After carefully considering the reviews from here @ovems and co. I've made the decision to embark on the journey of watching "Weak Hero Class" right from its very first season. The positive feedback and intriguing insights provided have piqued my interest and encouraged me to explore this series, hoping to uncover the captivating storyline and engaging characters that others have praised.

🤣 And I literally just came here to say Study Group has spoilt other High School bullying/fighting dramas for me, only to see your mention. Oh the timing 😂😂. Study Group overtook Weak Hero Class One for me. The choreography of the fighting was just too good. The plot and characters was really good as well. Weak Hero Class One is now in number 2.

I just watched the first episode of One High School Heroes and I kept comparing it to Study Group. This isn't a healthy way to watch anything o. Wahala! 😄

So are they saying that as she traveled back in time, it's love that cured her depression?

It's very easy to pass English. It all depends on your school's system. You say it's difficult based on how you were taught. My school made it compulsory for everyone to pass English every term. Then in my school, even if you get As in all subjects and fail English, you failed the term. Fail it for 3 terms, and you repeat the class.

We read the Oxford dictionary like a textbook. What you think is impossible in your sphere can be quite possible elsewhere.
