iterator24:i am disappointed in whatsoever you ve just said. The speed shouldn't be the issue for now. Do you think this is a movie? |
realnas:so you mean it isn't too much of a moving tea party for the guys Inside? |
Take your experience and put it in your anu5. You ll need it where u re going. |
Vikkie14:a moving fortress. Can it withstand an attack from a manpad? |
gtrust:but the acquisition of lethal equipment to prosecute our war against terror concerns us. In the international system there is no permanent friend or enemy there is only a permanent interest and a nation should be guided by that interest in making her decisions. If the US cannot be a good friend at this time, then lets go Russia |
Nigeria is creating for itself a very competent and experienced army. |
agaugust:see oga Agaugust i think we need to put this gun and uniform business to a decisive rest. |
He is right. SLS is pro nigerian. |
rickkid:nobody can save those retarded terrorists from this "arrogant monstrosity". |
We need pictures please. We need pictures of Ze "beast" T72. Hehehe finally we ve got ourselves a fight |
Any sane nigerian will not be comfortable with the way the armed forces are taking this insurgency movement in the northeast. |
Sometimes i just sit down and wonder what life in maiduguri would look like with so much security presence. I keep telling people that this boko haram insurgents are suicidal peeps and are only result oriented. They do not care how much of their lives it costs as long as the deed is done. Nigeria was really unfortunate to be the African country that was chosen to be infected with this " disease". But i know its all for the better, cus Nigeria have always been like a " push and start" vehicle we always need something to get us going. The boko haram insurgency brought a lot of administrative and infrastructural development to the various Nigerian security services. Nigeria was made strong by boko haram. The oil militants taught our boys to fight in creeks, rainforest, mangroove forest and swamps. While the boko haram insurgency introduced our boys into the world of asymmetric welfare and the worlds new conflict theatre: desert warfare. Most of the conflicts that have plagued the world in this modern times are being fought in the desert. From Mali, libya, somalia, syria, and Iraq. To me i think boko haram is preparing our boys for the bigger picture, [b]something inevitable, something that must be fought under the harsh sun and on the sands. worldwarIII ( titled: SANDSTORM). hmm, ok i think i ve written enough let me sleep. And try to forget i ever wrote this. |
mzilakazi:what do you need stealth for when fighting against a non conventional hostile force. I think Nigeria will start thinking of stealth aircraft and air superiority airframe as soon as her coast is clear |
Too much diversification in the nigerian airforce. Why not focus on one airframe and master it. We re buying scorpion and thunders at the same time and we re surprisingly buying them to play the same role "counter insurgency" which mostly involves ground attack. So if its possible why don't we just buy two squadron of SU30's and train with them. A jack of all trade will remain a master of none. And its not as if when we buy this different airframe we buy them in bulk. |
patches689:nice one there. We all seem to be looking at the issue from one point of view. |
Who post this nanscence. |
ProfessorPeter:and that my friend, is how you kill your economy. I am totally in support of Aresa stance on th matter. Russia is too weak economically to help anybody. Her policies are self centered and conservative in nature. The US is a friend to us either we like it or not and she have backed up her friendship with her endless pro nigerian policies. Those who said the us should do more should ask themselves either the government of the united states is the same thing as the government of Nigeria. If the US is protecting her interest by giving us warships then let it be. Every nation shouldn be guided by its interest in its relations with other nation. |
truefact:the union called Nigeria will remain. We ve not enjoyed Nigeria under a competent and qualified ruler yet so we still don't know how sweet it is to be nigerian. So till then lets keep testing. People don't just divide like that they learn to work things out |
What is buhari and atiku still looking for in aso rock when fresh blood like fashola and oshiomhole are being sidelined. Shouldnt we be putting our best foot forward. APC as a party is blessed to have a person like Fashola in its rank. What about oshiomhole, why are they not fielding this candidates why must they field our grandfathers to rule again. See the fact that Buhari have failed as a nigerian head of state once and he is coming again despite the fact that he know there are better persons available for the Jobs is the more reason why we should be wary of him. I will proclaim my membership of the APC as soon as i start seeing innovative candidates being fielded. Till then Jonathan till 2019. You cannot force yourself on the people because you own a party. How can you tell us that fashola is the right choice but vecause he is a Muslim then you dropped him. Why didn't they drop Buhari and make fashola the presidential candidate. Cus all we are seeing in a party that is meant to serve one mans interest. If ApC really want to give the people the candidate the people want then they will try and field that candidate by all means necessary no matter the religion or region. We need change. But buhari and atiku are not changes they are just recycled Garbage. |
Troop101:why nau? Stop bullshyt pls. |
I condemned it too. I vehemently condemn the killing of those peaceful worshipers @ the grand mosque. I will give an official statement soon. |

I ll soon fill this thread with photographic authority to disprove our OP. Nigeria navy rules the guinea gulf and all the navies of the gulf of guinea looks to us for leadership. |
Operational photos pls. You cant just come here and make claims without photos. Ghana navy is not even the best in Ghana where nigerian navy is busy guarding their coast for them. |
EVarn:i ve recommended that book several times here. "Diplomatic soldiering" written by the late General Joseph Garba. Nigeria's first soldier diplomat to rise to the position of president UN security council. |
EVarn:lol. make henry catch u derailing first. I ll create a new thread for this sort of discussions soon. I ve a certain book i ll recommend for you that will give you a practical idea about what the nigerian foreign policy looked like during the apartheid and Angola crisis and how America due to its mishandling of the Angola crisis gave Nigeria the opportunity to play in the center place. This were the exact words of major General Joseph Garba. " Nigeria should be grateful to the united states. Not in the wat Americans expect or particularly like; not in any of the ways nigerians would be quick to rightly protest. But in a way unexpected, unpredictable, and surely regretted by some Americans, including the administration of Gerald ford . For it was the united states that, in its misunderstanding and mishandling of the crisis of the imminent Angola independence, handed Nigeria the foreign policy issue that wouldn catapult her to the center stage and not just Africa's stage...producing for Angola and Africa precisely the government that Americans opposed." a meeting was held at Luanda, Angola between a nigerian delegation led by lt.-colonel General olusegun obasanjo and an Angolan side by president Aghostino Neto on Thursday,5 February,1976 excerpts from an issue of common interest. A discussion between the Angolan defence minister and the Nigerian chief of staff supreme headquaters (OBJ) chief of staff as for the request for the Nigerian troops, we are closely watching the situation. We believe that in whatever we do, we should perform very well in areas we take on. Our assessment is that, the battle for the liberation of Angola, it will be fought on (1) the battle ground, (2) the diplomatic front and (3) the political side to it , to be fought outside and an Economic aspect to it. We believe that the area which we would handle is the diplomatic side, especially in Africa. We will leave no stone unturned. Unless it is absolutely necessary, nigerian troops for combat should be kept in strategic reserve. Once we re involved it will reduce our effectiveness in the diplomatic arena. Minister of defence( Angolan. Written as interpreted by the interpreter)- i want clarifications concerning the transportation of the MiGs. chief of staff supreme headquaters (OBJ): they have to be flown in by our pilots if yours are engaged in other things. I can even go today with your pilots if they are ready to fly them in. minister of defence (angola)as regards the C130 aircraft, i want to know whether you looked for the sales of new ones or the used ones. Chief of staff (OBJ) i looked into the purchase of new ones and if the Americans had any inkling that they were coming here they would stop the sale but if you want us to look into second handed ones we will do so. minister of defence( Angola) this matter is extremely urgent to us. It is not only militarily but also for the question of supply which has to be done by air... Nigeria's efforts in the liberation of Angola is one of the most important and significant achievements of nigerians foreign policy in the African continent. |
EVarn:i really wished it had something to do with school. I never really cared about school tests back then. Ok b4 oga Henry120 says i am derailing the thread. Let me say something military ish! During the days of sir Muhammad Ali of Egypt(Pasha of Egypt from 1805-1848)a very competent and vibrant force was built in the north of Africa this army threatened the balance of power of the then world. The European powers saw this threat and trembled in their shoes. They thought this might be the answer to the eastern question. They feared for the ottoman empire. Mohammed Ali melted rock and iron to build a well mechanized force, a force made up of the Fallahins ( peasant farmers) wipped and beaten to submission. he built a force so strong that they were called upon by the Turkish sultan to liberate mecca from the Wahabis. He sent his son Tusun to do the job and he did it well Mecca was once again ready to house pilgrims. He pushed further into Syria, sacked Acre and would have gone further into Turkish territories if not for the deterring intervention of the Russians. Mohammed Ali showed to the world what Africa can achieve if only we start solving our African problems with an African solution i infected some forumite over there in beegeagle with this maxim 2 yrs ago i remember it was a conversation between i and one dosiex and Eeben. We re Africans we re strong we re able ( even if we re not let us learn to be ) and we can only help ourselves. Let us not allow other people to exploit and use us to build their countries ( see the book - third world politics. An introduction by Clapham, C., and also see Africa and the Victorians: the official mind of imperialism by Robinson, R. And Gallagher, J. With Denny. Then you may want to add my favourite How Europe underdeveloped Africa by the late Walter Rodney) we should be the one exploiting ourselves and resources for our own betterment. I will start a lecture series on this section on African political and military history when i find the chance. |

How does the David Cross affect the value of the Naira? I'm a Christian..I've never ever heard about the David Cross and possibly many other Christians too so I'm surprised the Muslim body had enough time to research about the David cross when there are more important things for them to think about.
