GHKWAME1:your link just ruined the standing of your navy. Because they had to rely on the intelligence of the Nigerian navy, to take action. And thanks to our superior tech and skills, we got the information and sent your never do well navy boys on a search for glory. I wish I could share links on how many times the Nigerian navyave had to clean up your mess. No. I don't have that time |
noblezone:hmm! I like that man wen dem dey call Buhari. I am really serious about wanting to vote for him come 2015. But the bad thing is that he may not win. The election registration exercise in APC states was not well conducted, necessary capturing materials were not deployed and the staffs always arrived late. In some local governments it was not even conducted. Sincerely men. I would have loved Buhari in power come 2015. He is the only one displaying reason around in the political scene. But the fact still remains that he wont win. |
MduZA:no you don't understand the point been raised by both parties, you just needed to say something. |
agaugust:imagine. |
patches689:lol. You truly know nothing about your history. There was nothing like self determination for you folks. The Brits granted the Boers political and economical power to ensure that Brit investors had concessions in the mining industry. When the Brits left the blacks felt betrayed, they never wanted a Boer led caricature independence, they knew what was in store for them. The signing of the 1910 act of union marked your nations official descent into apartheid. The Brits kept deceiving the blacks that the Boers were also southafricans and the act of Union was to the benefit of all Boers,Bantu, Sans and bus men. But the blacks knew deep down in their heart that the true southafricans were not white European settlers. |
patches689:I am about to make you a wiser man on south African history. The act of union was signed in 1910. It held that all the former autonomous territories like transvaal, orange, etc will join to form the south Africa under a government to be created by the Boers. Under the terms for the signing of the act of union, the Black south Africans were to have no business in the politics of south Africa, . Nb. The British knew a Boers led southafrica would be filled with discrimination and racial segregation. But they still left the blacks in the hands of the boers There are definitions of independence and definitions of colonialism that could be found online and ofline., but none of them can define what southafrica achieved with the act of union as independence Under the independence provided by the act of union, Apartheid was institutionalised. There was no Britain to hold the Boers back any longer, the blacks were kept in tight and crowded reservations to prevent them from grabbing the few available farmlands with the Boers (1913 Bantu land act) There was actually an act called the mine and work act 1911, to prevent blacks from even getting the little menial labour available at the mines, there was an act known as the coloured work act 1926 to place black workers at a disadvantage when seeking for jobs, civil labour act: this act was made to ensure that only the Boers get all the jobs, but the one that got me cracking back then in classes was the immorality act of 1950 this act was to prevent the natives from getting too randy around white ladies. There was also a riotous assembly act( this act was invoked on Gandhi and later on Mandela)1914. The truth is southafrica got their false independence in 1910 but had to wait for Nigeria to get theirs in 1960 and grant them true independence. |
Longtime trade partners. Yamaha owes us more than this. |
patches689:what are you even saying? cmon man. Even more advanced countries allow their special forces to enjoy training experience from foreign trainers or theatres. |
patches689:imagine yourself. First you said the SBS had no combat experience then he told you they had. And then you started claiming experience does not count. hmm SMH |
iamord:its good to know that your head is still intact |
EVarn:your untold ambitions is of no concern to me. I only tried to correct what you clearly pointed out. |
EVarn:no. Africans have stopped living as cavemen, and they are walking and working towards sustaining this positive pattern of development. Before you call for totalitarianism, can you pls tell us one African nation that have benefited from this system of government ( giving us clear and concise historical facts). Tell us one African state that, thanks to the rule of a dictator it was able to develope itself profitably. If there is none then what makes you as a neophyte in issues of government and politics think it will work out in a heated and multi ethnic state like Nigeria or do want to use the largest black nation on earth to experiment on a banned Government ideology? |
EVarn:you ve just failed your first presidential debate. My Question was. " how will your de facto state and its one sided policies fulfill and achieve the nigerian national interests ( domestic and foreign) and its wider interest in its sub region. [ii.] and please what do you think determines our national interest as a country. Because you cant just come to power and say " erm! Missiles made Russia great oya let us start building the world fattest missiles, aircraft careers are cool and dangerous let us get some of those( which role dem go play for gulf of guinea or your spat with south Africans online go make you ride your aircraft career go cape of good hope?). You don't run a nation like a football management app. You ve to take into considerations many factors that overtime have grown to form the Raison de etre of Nigeria i.e. The reason for the existence of Nigerian state. |
EVarn:may the good lord help us. |
EVarn:hmm. Dats ur opinion and it is respected. But however it is not having weapons that makes one a world power. It is her ability to maintain a significant level of influence in the international system by either using her various instruments of foreign policy like economy, military, natural resources, geographical strength, and even leadership to influence the way other state behaves. A nation that have in the process of acquiring high-tech weaponry crippled her economy and infrastructural development would realise only too late that her national interest is not best served and also that she as a country cannot maintain that level of high tech system with the resources available to her, she may have to give them up at the request of international organizations or stop operating them. Now Mr Evans what do you think is the nigerian national interests and how do you think such policy will best serve our interest as a nation. Cus there is a difference between Evans imperialistic ambitions and the nigerian collective existential interest. Wish i could place a PDF documentation in my possession for you to download. So you have a clear picture of what Nigeria as a nation stands for. |
ochejoseph:yea at least he is only clueless not Billess. |

PetroDolla3:the problem i have with you ghanians is that, you always find it had to maintain your argument along the line of reason. The nigerian coast is not filled with pirates only a ignorant fellow that know nothing about his geo politics can make such claims. Now this is the problem Nigeria is faced with, The whole gulf of guinea is infested with pirate and Nigerian interest and trade activities contribute about 80% of all activities going on in the gulf of guinea, meaning Nigeria earn more from the gulf of guinea more than any other gulf of guinea country so it is only reasonable that the western media call it the nigerian gulf some even go far enough to refer to it as the nigerian coast. So with what i ve jst written it should be clear that Nigeria have a leadership role to play in the security of a gulf on which the economy of the richest African nation is dependent. So take for example what will it serve Ghana by wasting its money to protect the gulf of guinea for Nigeria. When it understand only too well that Nigeria makes more money from this gUlf and therefore have a bigger responsibility to protect and secure its interest around the gulf. In my own opinion Ghana with its present economy and financial situation will be making a policy that is not in her interest if she maintain the largest and most effective navy in the Gulf of guinea cus poor Ghana will only end up protecting nigerian oil tankers and business cruisers. So anybody still at this time shouting that Ghana have the best navy in west Africa is a political neophyte. Sources. iamord:the day i thought iamord was a man of honour. Too bad e still settled to whirl in the mud of the ghanian/nigerian e fights. i am around now, so I ll try my best to avail you all of my superior intellectual contributions. The nigerian navy is a regional power created to ensure stability in the Gulf of Guinea one of the world most active oil and gas supply route ( thanks to nigerian oil trade), to protect Nigeria's interests and to rapidly respond to threats to the nigerian interest by air or by sea all around its spare of interest. the ghanian Navy is a coast guard created to protect Ghanian interest around its coast. I ll avail you all of proofs and evidence to back up my claims. But in the mean time i would Advice that we desist from making provocative statements or raining insults on each other as the sanity of any thread where i am to contribute should and must be maintained. |
Descartes:nobody said they should be released to the army, what do we need that mil cargo chopper for whence have almost 35 attack helicopters placed on order. As for the AK47 nigerian defence industry have been producing that one since 2007. When they say Nigeria Need weapons to fight bokoharam they did not mean the kind of things in that plane at all, |
Descartes:under what code? Are we allied to chad in any mutual protection agreement. So why are we supposed to release to them, weapons that could be used against nigerian citizens in the case of a regional confrontation. You of all people should know that the international system is made up of states interacting with each other without the supervision of any binding authority or legal documentation( this is what scholars in the field of international relations call " the system of anarchy ". read the book " leviathan" by Thomas Hobbes and also read Diplomacy by Harold Nicholson) in this system states are guided solely by their interest and their decisions, policies should reflect this interest as this is the main core of the existence of states " we ve no permanent friend or perpetual foe, our interests are both permanent and perpetual" quoted by a 4mr British prime minister. All i am saying is this. The legality or illegality of an action in the modern international system can only be determined by the states taking that action. Like they say in strategic studies " what sovereignty makes equal power makes unequal" meaning what could be wrong by moral standing could appear right when it is being done by a powerful state e.g the killing of Gadaffi of Libya, invasion of Iraq, the Gaza blockade of 2010/2011. Some of this things are wrong by the standing of international law, but need i repeat that the present international law is not binding and it is poorly applied only in most cases on government and persons that have lost the support of a majority of their people or the powers that be. |
kwametut:whats your problem my guy? can you even see the thread's title? if you do not stop derailing your useless bantu a55 will soon be blocked |
Appliedmaths:vigorously kicking. can't wait |
DaBullIT:well done bro! well done. your father should be very proud of you. hehehe. you dun too watch film for this life. when you go take start to see life issues beyond your TV screen? |
BackDatAssUp:your analysis still remain. the only valid analysis on this thread. |
kwametut:we re really happy to hear that you ve taken you nigerian history classes seriously. but however this thread is not the right place for you to display your very minute and surface knowledge on nigerian history. |
EVarn:happy bday bro |
MikeCZAR:comments like this should be ignored. The introduction of new technic, approach, equipment, men and leader always change the tide in a battle either negatively or positively. |
AugustineAgain:that's very true. South Africa cannot boast of full self sufficiency on military equipment when her most valuable military assets are still controlled to a great degree by European condition of sales policies. |
kwametut:stop it! Stop derailing! Although i loved the last picture. Is she south African? Let me teach her how to " ride my Gripen jet " lol |
starlingbawa:you don't understand something. Even the US is not properly experienced on the training they are giving our boys. There is a different between fighting in the middle east and fighting in the drugs and hottest region in the world. The Sahara desert region. I would have preferred we train with the French people cus they were able to deal a substantial blow to the maghrebian movement back then. |
