He is the first Ebola case diagnosed in New York, and the fourth in the US.
He left Guinea on 14 October, and returned to New York City on 17 October. But on Tuesday he began to feel tired and developed a fever and diarrhoea on Thursday.

neighy: Imagine if na ordinary Naija Amebo UAV crash...US for bin carry am for head like Gala a Drone station in Niger they claim to fight terrorism but is that really their GOAL?? when you cannot manage your issues for yourself another man will come and manage it for you. Just take a look at our subregion and shake your head cus i am doing the same thing. Our subregion is filled with nations in search of their identity. Niger is still wondering if it is supposed to be pro Arabian, pro maghrebian, or pro American, pro francophone or prowestafrican. We have Cameroon close to us, ready to grab at our throat at any given opportunity and then our beloved Ghana. We love her because she shared the same pains, struggles and victories that gave birth to most anglophone westafrican states. But she is not presently interested in any such emotional sentiments as she is burdened with her rising debt profile and fighting the urge to borrow more, because of this our beloved Ghana can no longer raise her voice in the committee of states. I am not going to waste your precious time to tell your about other smaller francophone post independent colonies. Ok now let us ask ourselves what is the benefits and disadvantages of having weak neighbours? 1. If you are lucky to be a comparatively strong nation around weak nations like Nigeria you will have the monopoly of military and diplomatic influence. 2. You will also have to bear the burden of your weak neighbours. This could be in terms of security, finance, trade, economy and more recently healthcare provision. 3. No decision is made without your consent and approval. 4. You will continue to live a life of self delusion, pretending and accepting the fact that you re great not knowing that you are protected from the realities of the international system by your immediate neighbours. 5. When you are in trouble you will have to look for God for help( no wonder they say Nigeria is always asking for Gods intervention) when aids that are supposed to be shared secretly and diplomatically between neighbouring countries are not available you search elsewhere and that elsewhere may not want to give a closed door kind of help. They will allow their news media to have a field day with you( example " unprofessional and poorly equipped Nigeria military seek the help of the US army" you will agree with me that this wouldn't be the case if we where asking for support from our westafrican brothers. It may even be done secretly) just take for example when Nigeria was calling for foreign support in its fight against terrorism. Some foolish citizens of our neighbouring countries had the gut to call it a weak cry for help. Not knowing that they are the reason why we are calling for foreigners outside our subregion. If Ghana had the capacity to help why didn't she help, if Benin, Togo, Niger and Mali had the capacity to help then why didn't they help. 6. Foreigners will fund your poor weak neighbours to undermine you. 7. The drone base in Niger was paid heavily for under an agreement by the US army AFRICOM commander and the Nigerien government.. 8. You will enjoy the attention of the media both foreign and local as you will be the only state in your subregion to be worth the media attention either propaganda or conspiracy theory everybody is talking about you. |

Hadeyeancah: 6 Types of People You Meet in Nigerian Banks
1. The Pen Borrowers: They never have a pen. These people are quick to say, "Please, borrow me your Biro" and once you give them your pen, just forget about it because that's the last of them you'll see, except if you're extremely lucky.
2. The "I dey ur Back" Team: Immediately they enter the bank, even before picking a slip (withdrawal or deposit), they are already asking who the last person on queue is. And before you answer, they'll say "I'm at your back." In most cases, 9 people will tell you, "Bros, I dey ur back." At the end of the day, you end up settling dispute between the person wey dey d back of person wey dey ur back.
3. The No protocol team: This kind of people don't even care who the last person on queue is. "First come first served" don't make any meaning to them. Immediately they come in, they just walk up to the manager, who offers them a seat, and within 5 mins they've completed there transactions while u go still dey dere dey grow grey hair for queue. (Dearis God oooo!)
4. The Bank Door rejectees: These category will always have problem with the bank door. You'll see them removing their belts, car keys, mobile phones etc and yet the machine keeps shouting "Bro, pls go back". Oga, next time come into bank naked! Biko, he go allow u in... LOL!
5. The slip wasters: These kind of people can waste slip 4Nigeria! To fill the withdrawal slip or deposit slip na JAMB questions? You'll see them cancelling, tearing, squeezing & taking another one. To write common 3,780 Naira in words na gobe. The so called "undergraduates " are the leader of this group. Na wa o.
6. The Voice of the People: These are the rebel leaders of the banking hall. "The queue is not moving na". "Yes, It's true. These people are just lazy". "I mean, this is arrant nonsense! I've been here for 59 min! This bank is a crap. I will close down my account and find a better bank" Come tomorrow, you go see am again for queue wit big goggle... speaking grammar. Bros, na only you waka come?
Okay, which group do you belong to in these 6? No lie o. Remember, dearis God o! Oya add urs...... pen borrower. |

Henry120: Amisom, KDF forces. oga Henry i ve noticed somethings about the various pictures you and other posters ve been posting. 1. The pictures posted for the southafrican security services " shows" a well equipped security and trained security service( since most of the pictures are from training exercises) with very good public relation. 2. The Kenyan defence force photos are focused mainly on their land based assets and their efforts in AMISOM. 3. I ve also noticed that the photos posted here for AMISOM are very professional and does not only capture the military equipment but also give the viewer a scenic view of the area. 4. The nigerian navy seems to be the only nigerian security service releasing professional photos to the public. This have built and nurtured the false idea that the nigerian military is a large poorly equipped and poorly trained security service. 5. The nigerian defence industries and foreign defence industries based in Nigeria like proforce, DICON, BVST ( bulgarian) have been poorly covered here. This are some of my observations. |

People were donating 100 million, 750 million naira and so on and till now we have not heard anything on how the money raised was spent or applied. If he borrows 1 billion naira, how do we pay back? Is it not the masses who will ultimately bear the brunt of this most ill-advised borrowing. May God deliver us from these people. first of all you wrote a billion naira instead of a billion dollar. Then for your information the fund raiser was for the resettlement of the displaced victims and woundeds not war on terror. Nations don't organise fund raisers for war. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Foreigners Are Not Lazy Like You Poor South Africans - Zuma Says by overhypedsteve(m): 7:30am On Oct 22, 2014 |
knightsTempler: South Africa, unlike other African countries, has focused intensely on improving the life of its poor citizens, President Jacob Zuma said on Sunday.
"What is it that causes protests and demonstrations in South Africa when the rest of Africa is not doing it? Once the countries were free, it was each one for themselves. There were no programs to deal with poor people," said Zuma in Pretoria.
"If I am wrong, come and tell me which country did as we did. Once we were free we said our major focus is to address the plight of the poor. In no country in the world have you seen government giving people houses free of charge because they are poor."
Zuma said that since 1994, government had immensely improved the lives of citizens.
"There was no one who was talking about electricity in the rural areas before 1994. It was not an issue and there were no protests for that. No one was saying 'take services to the people'."
Due to the extensive roll-out of services after 1994, South Africans had become dependent on the state.
"The reality you can't find protests in other places is that there is no hope. When foreigners come to South Africa, because they are not used to government handing [out] things, they get here and see opportunities and thrive," said Zuma.
"Our people are waiting for government. Our people are not used to standing up and doing things. These ones [foreigners] are not expecting any government to do anything so they get here, see opportunities and exploit them. They have taken over your small businesses."
If he were a journalist, he would write to South Africans to say "wake up".
Zuma was speaking at the commemoration of 'Black Wednesday' and 20 years of media freedom in South Africa.
On Wednesday, October 19, 1977, the apartheid regime clamped down on the media, banning two newspapers — The World and the Weekend World. The editor and other journalists who stood up against the apartheid regime were arrested. This day became known as 'Black Wednesday'.
"The reflection about the painful episodes that shaped our history in the long stretch of our journey to freedom is impossible to avoid. This year, we remember these episodes more, given that we are marking 20 years since the attainment of freedom and democracy in our country," said Zuma.
Zuma also announced the establishment of a presidential communication and media working group to provide a platform for the sharing of ideas between government and media.
"There is a lot we can discuss, from media diversity and transformation to how the media industry can contribute to the attainment of the five percent growth target by 2019," Zuma said in a speech prepared for delivery in Pretoria.
"In this landmark year of 20 years of freedom, let us re-dedicate ourselves to working together to promote the right of the public to information."

Your president should recognise the fact that the decrease in the supply of Gas is not intentional, we nigerians ve nothing but profound respect for our fellow west-african brothers and as such we would not do anything to destroy the atmosphere of mutual friendship that we spent long years in creating in this subregion. This is not an official statement from the nigerian authority but i am very sure that your government will make use of the various diplomatic channels that both states enjoy to sort this matter out. We all know from past experiences that a disunited Ecowas is a weak and vulnerable Ecowas, the strength and unity we have as a regional economic bloc is in the fact that unlike some other such unions we have the element of African brotherhood |

It supports what I have been calling for, but we can do without it. prototypes? I thought prototype is an experimental version of the real thing still subject to test and upgrade. Hmm i now feel very dumb. so you mean the prototype of the trainer aircraft ( faruwa) that AFIT talked about the other time is just a " cute 3D graphic" pls be patient with me i don't know this terminologies.
