PoliticsRe: Top 21 Fela Kuti Quotes by overhypedsteve(m):
Trailblazer1:
Fela was an activist, agreed.
Though I don't see any intellectual or inspirational cue from all these quote.
But one thing I'm very sure is that:

Buhari will miss him so much.
how can anybody who lay claims on the status of literacy not see anything inspirational in this quotes? This quote can be applied in the study of philosophy, politics and religion. Fela is one person nigerians must be proud of. He showed us what we couldn't see

he said:
“Everything I did wrongly is an experience…to be honest and truthful in all endeavours is an experience, not a regret.”

In response to being asked if he has any regrets.

20. “…man is here against his will. Where do we come from? What was before us?…when you think you die, you’re not dead. Its a transition.”

cmon man even Sigmund Freud the Austrian authority didn't say anything more intellectual than this.
And please done be deceived Fela comes from one of the first few nigerian elite families after independence. He schooled in Britain and is considered as intellectually sound enough for him to be considered as one of Nigeria most influential authority on political psychology. His teaching influences the old, young and illiterate more than that of any nigerian professor on political science. He is one of Nigeria most important personality in the area of political socialization.
and Mr man i stand as a authority on the study of political sciences. I do not need anyone to backup my point cus my point is fact. I ve studied enough to tell you this is fact and you say yes sir! Dont quote me

We have carried out multiple over-hauls on NNS Aradu on many occasions in-country.

Nothing new.

“According to the Review the SANDF is in a critical state of decline, is unsustainable and prime mission equipment, especially in the landward force, faces block obsolescence. “Ammunition stocks are depleted, infrastructure is falling apart, skilled staff is leaving and the arms of the various services operate in silos and are unable to manage basic procurement, which is centralised and run by the deputy director-general in the Defence Secretariat.”

Nope unlike your brainless generals who have decided to chase pirates with subs, Nigeria doesn't buy, what Nigeria doesn't need.

2 long endurance ships from the U.S
2 corvettes/OPV's from china
2 additional ships from turkey and china
6 65 meters IPV's from the netherlands
Additional 2 Helicopters from china.

This is how you make procurements, based on the Nations needs, on a need to buy, not on a need to buy 26 jets with only 8 pilots to fly.

Posting photos of 4 Augusta LUH of 30 proves absolutely nothing.

Most of the SAAF’s 30-strong light helicopter fleet is grounded because of the “almost total lack of flying-hour allocation”, according to the Defenceweb site. Defenceweb writes that this “precarious financial and personnel situation” also led to the humiliation of the SAAF managing to keep its specialist maritime helicopters aloft for fewer than a dozen hours,".

Again, coming here to post flight hours of your presidential fleet, which is part of the SAAF is absolute balderdash.

You didn't deploy soldiers for anti-poaching ops....... grin grin

This is the psych reflection of what a sane man on the street views about islam.

Islam is a bad religion, the stake holders in this religion knows this, but "instead" they rip high benefit from it.
that is just the fact. In law the test for the genuity of any legal proceeding is viewed from the perspective of a "reasonable man" the opinion of a reasonable neutral body who have no interest to protect is always right. We nigerians do not know what we re up against, Jonathan was supposed to make his declaration long ago but he didn't. He had to chose a period when Nigeria was morning to declare to a broken hearted people that his incompetence has come to stay.

Cotonou, u done ever hear say them deport us from that country before ?
the case of cotonou is more of a symbiotic relationship. Cotonou enjoys trade from Nigeria and unlike any other African city is famous among nigerians. When i was young i actually thought cotonou was inside Nigeria the way people keep going there. The republic of Benin is like those cattle eagrets that eat the insects in the cows body and also help the cow to stay clean. I think i made sense? Can somebody pls help me to confirm if i made sense? Cus i ain't feeling ok right now( got headache)

PoliticsRe: Akpabio VS Amaechi Stadium; Let's Compare. by overhypedsteve(m): 9:45pm On Nov 08, 2014
Even a foolish blind man will rate Amaechi stadium over that of akpabio. Is it because you people have not seen beautiful structures before that you re now rating beauty above quality and accountability. Amaechi built a sports institution to international standards, mind you, sports bodies do not care if the stadium is beautiful or not so long as it is up to standard.a place were our kids can go and practise their physical health education, a place were the presence of several rare sporting activities have been represented with due reference to operational standards. For 30bils
Akpabio on the other hand built a football pitch and added a platform to it to match it as a stadium for a whooping sum of 39.bils. And for all those that are saying it is up to international standard i say a big "shut up" you sent measure international standard by the beauty of the structure. There are several parameters through which standards are measured and beauty is not one of it. I love the Ibom stadium but i ve a duty to speak as a reasonable man. And sanity have to be maintained

slimfit1:
Lagos don't need one 3 is enough mr man. We need jobs not stadiums thank you get a life.
you also need sense.
size38:
How can anybody compare Akwa Ibom stadium built by Governor Akpabio and that of Governor Amaechi? Akwa Ibom stadium is fine but not be compared with Amaechi's own which is more like a sports institute where u can fine facilities for every sporting event ranging from football to volley ball to basket ball etc. What I saw in Akwa Ibom is just stadium. While that of Governor Amaechi is all encompassing. I give credit to both Governors for their developmental stride but I rate Amaechi's stadium higher .
you are a wise man, and i also rate your brain higher than the others

From vision clarity is created and from strategic vision is quantifiable long lasting and sustainable delivery outcomes attained.

If not for the debased way in which our politics is carried out across the bored should we be talking about a Buhari ticket a man who is living on past glories of over 30 years ago.

When we have a proven, articulate contemporary visionary who is acceptable to the general polity a true nationalist I mean FASHOLA in reality put Buhari , GEJ , and any others on a national televised debate Fashola would floor the lot of them. I would like to see Fashola for president its a simple NO CONTEST against any opponent in Nigeria.

However the African mentality of holding on to power by any means possible and the very old boys club of past Generals, Party Chairmen , etc and thier insistance on Godfatherism not merit will not allow that to happen.
hey the plan is for fashola to run alongside buhari cus the old dude would die soon anyway. So baba fash will take over.

boss that will only sink him further into his problems. That is even the source of mine, there was a time i started an anti-social personality and i spent most of my time running researches and reading materials on international politics and jurisprudence. Boss that made me so far ahead of the normal people around me that i couldn't accept a normal silly conversation anymore i became this serious " learned" person that only talks to people nobody would talk to you cus they believe you know everything. Just too sad. This days i meet people discussing politics, i enter the conversation and the whole place becomes quiet as if a lecture is going on. Just too sad men. The only people i can enjoy a nice intellectual discussion with are the guys over there in the foreign affairs section and some of my colleague in my department.

The US does not have any ground troops in Iraq plus at least Saddam and his top guys were taken out, as well as the main militancy group in ND.

13,000 Nigerians have died if not more from Boko Haram, It has passed time to keep doing same things, outside help might be the only solution.

Do you know how much the government is supposed to spend to protect 1 life not to talk of loosing 13,000 Nigerians in their land, in their country
i believe and understand you. The life of a citizen of any country is the topmost priority of the government, in fact i once attended a lecture on strategic studies where it was held that the national interest of a state is based on two factors.
1. Protection of the sovereignty of that state.
2. Protection of its citizens
