He will always address him my excellence...Fashola was tinubu puppet before, they are now at the top. No man is an island, you won't get to the top without someone's recommendation. Pls, my fellow Nigerians, let's not get used to addressing the Vice President a mere Commissioner or tinubu's puppet...We all voted for Him alongside PMB to help put Nigeria in better shape...thank you!

Nairaland GeneralSee Views: If You Win N20m And Your Spouse Needs N19m To Be Bailed Out, What Wil by OwoLee(op): 12:29pm On Sep 19, 2015
To an average Nigerian, N20m is a lot of amount that could change the lives of many couples for the better. However, what if, unexpectedly, you win this huge sum in a lottery but then, your spouse is being sentenced to imprisonment with an option of fine of N19m, would you easily let go of your prize money in order to bail your spouse out? Nigerians share views

I can’t abandon my wife in time of trouble

Olayide Oyelowo

What is money if I don’t have my wife beside me? How would I enjoy the money? Would it replace my wife? Naturally, if my wife was in that kind of trouble, I should be seeking for ways of raising money to bail her out, but now that I won some money, if I were a responsible man, I would not even think twice before I do what I am supposed to do. Of course, my wife’s freedom should be of paramount importance.

It’s important to cherish my husband

Taiwo Adegoke

No matter what, my husband will always come first. He is my lover and if he is in a mess, the responsible thing that I should do is to fight for his release. I cannot eat, drink, sleep or think if my husband is behind bars and I am still walking up and down the streets as if nothing is happening. Without hesitation, I would release the money. My husband’s freedom and wellbeing is of more importance than the N20m.

My wife comes first

Peter Nganga

Common sense demands that I bail my wife out. Of course, I agree that the money could go a long way in boosting my family’s finances, but do I have a family when my wife is about spending some years in the prison? Family comes first in this instance and I would ordinarily do everything possible to obtain freedom for my wife.

If I love him, I’ll bail him out

Betiku Folashade

I wouldn’t even think it twice before I release the money. Let them even collect the whole N20m, my husband’s presence in the home is much more important. If he’s free, we can make more than that in the long run. How much is even N20m we are talking about here? It could go same way it came. It’s not even money I worked for. It’s a winning. So why should it pain me to release such money for my husband to walk free again?

What if I didn’t win the money?

Tayo Richard

I would bail my wife out and we would spend the remaining N1m, that’s how it is supposed to be. I should not allow greed to set in here. I would ask myself what would happen if I didn’t win the money. Maybe she would have gone to jail. And if she goes to jail, will I have peace to spend the money without thinking of her freedom? It is just not possible for me to abandon my wife in such a situation.

Love is more important to me than money

Fadipe Lola

Money is not primarily the source of happiness in the home, but love. As a responsible woman, I would gladly give out the money so that I could see my husband by my side each day I wake up. Nothing is of more value to me in life than love and care and respect from my husband. So if I would have to sacrifice the money to get all these back again, I would do that without hesitation. I believe this gesture would go a long way in making my husband cherish me for life.

I may not give the money

Chikwado Ikah

Releasing the money to secure her release depends on so many factors. I may have to consider her faithfulness to me in times past. If she were someone I didn’t really trust – maybe she had even cheated on me because I didn’t have money or she once used to compare me with other men because of money, I wouldn’t bail her out. In fact, I wouldn’t mind her going to prison; at least, it human beings are in prison there, not animals. She would learn so many lessons while there and become a better person by the time she’s out.

If he never valued me, I won’t bail him out

Joy Opobio

Some men are not worth sacrificing for. God forbid, but assuming he’s one kind of a man who never valued me and who never showed me love and respect, I may not release the money for his freedom. If he’s someone who abuses me and has never thought of me as a wife, do you think I will release the money? This is not about me loving money more than family, but it’s about wanting to get out of an abusive relationship. With the money, maybe I could do some things on my own and move on with my life.

This is temptation

Nasko Egei

This scenario is a tough one, especially if I had been hoping for a financial breakthrough like that before. Now I’m caught between the devil and the deep blue sea – releasing almost everything I won to get my wife out would be difficult, but I guess I would just close my eyes and release the money. I would assume luck smiled on me because of my wife. God didn’t want my wife to go to prison, so He made me win the money.

I’ll be depressed without my husband

Jannitta Scott

My husband’s absence in the home could have a negative effect on me. If my husband is in such a situation, I would not be happy. I would be depressed all the time; and now that God has provided the means for my husband to be bailed out, I would surely release the money. My thinking would be that the money came so I could solve the problem. I should not be greedy and value money more than my spouse.

You don't get it. The so called report according to Punch, is a public document loaded on the website of the LASG procurement agency and there are several awarded and completed contracts on it. The report says its for 2013, so it may have been loaded on the website during Fashola's administration. They are duly awarded and completed projects. It is the media that is feasting on it now after the discovery of the website by BudgetIt.
God bless u for clearing the air, Many don't know much about all this propaganda, the media itself is one, when they want to make you popular, they keep writng interesting stories about the person, and if they want to tarnish the persons image also, they keep bringing up different shade of stories that will spark up debate nd hatred...Remember, that was one of the tools they used to destroy the previous govt. zimoni:
What?

Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I can't believe this.

Barr Femi Gbajabiamila, who practised Law in USA for years, is not competent to lead House? Lawd Jisos. Jisos Christ of Otueke.

Femi, you see your life now? You see your damn life outside?

You worked against your own, Mulikat Akande, so Tambuwal could become Speaker.

You convinced Tinubu to support him, you lobbied and got the job done for Tambuwal, being the head of opposition then.

Tinubu asked you several times, Femi are you sure this guy will not betray you? Are you sure you know what you are doing? You Olorinla Femi stood to your gun, you convinced Tinubu to order the SW Hons and ACN members at large. Tinubu set machinery in motion and Tambuwal became the Speaker despite the fact that PDP wanted Mulikat Akande as the Speaker unopposed.

Funny enough, some of his Brothers in North voted for him against their PDP candidate Mulikat Akande.

Now that you needed their support, did they reciprocate the good gesture?

NO.

They said YOU(FEMI GBAJABIAMILA) is NOT COMPETENT. I still can't believe this.

Femi, you got served.

You of all people shouldn't have worked again the emergence of your own, Mulikat Akande.

You are both Yorubas.

You are both Muslims.

You are both Lawyers.

You are both SWesterners.

Yet, You(Oloriboobo Ti N Bo Mo'gbo) Femi Gbajawhatever WORKED AGAINST YOUR OWN SISTER.

Karma Is Indeed A Dam.

Femi, if you are reading this, YOU DID NOT LEARN FROM THE PAST EVENTS IN THIS COUNTRY AND NOW YOU'VE LEARNT YOUR LESSONS IN A BITTER WAY.

You got SERVED Femi.

You DESERVED whatever treatment you got from them.

You Made Him The Speaker Indirectly and now Tambuwals says You are NOT COMPETENT.

O Ma Shey Oooooooooo.

What A Pity.

Alaabaa.

Alaabaa.
Hmmm, these goes to show the level of hatred yorubas have for one another, we don't support each other, No unity...this is really affecting us in the sharing formula of positions in the country...I think for once yorubas need to rise up above party sentiments to support their own in positions of power...all in all, the unity nd peaceful coexistence of Nigerians is the most Important....

Mention one solution tinubu has brought to lagos as a godfather other than hijacking contracts from fashola, erecting toll gates and planting flowers that are not beneficial to lagosians
Mr. Otunsman, asiwaju has laid a lot of milestones achievement which the current government enjoys the accolades, if you have been a staunch follower of the progressive, u will know this, first, the BRT system we using today in Lagos was a laid down plan by tinubu, he designed the platform, fashola continued, then again, the IPP systems (Integrated power plant) been built across the state today by fashola is as a result of tinubu's idea, if you remember vividly, Obj didn't support the idea and never allowed him to build it, now the Incoming FG GOVT. Wants to borrow that idea in tackling the issue of electricity. Now have u forgotten that it was during tinubu's reign, obj witheld the states fund, yet he never owed any civil servants of the state for that 2yrs? How was he able to do it if not for been a genius and remember Lagos wasn't generating money this high as now, we talking about 2billion monthly revenue generation...the idea of the One day governor of the state is as a result of tinubu's idea and it's still been maintained...Pls give this man kudos...Don't let politics becloud our sense of judgment. This write-up is also a wise idea, not the only solution, we just have to debate about it and find a way out...Nigerians, stop hating on Jagaban!

akins56:
nonsense, hijab is part of Islamic dressing , its fundamental purpose was to cover the a woman's hair from public glare, which Christianity also enjoins, history proved that holy Mary and some other virtuous women in the bible never display their hair in the open, which Islamic doctrines strictly enjoins, but hijab was not create by neither any prophet nor Allah (SWT), but rather it is an human creation, the most important thing is to cover one's hair, hence the use of 'iborun' by most yoruba mother's instead of hijab, so it is part of the religion, hence, its banning is an infringement on the fundamental right of any Muslim female.
To add more to what u explaining, every religion has its own tenants, hijabs for the female folks is one of its very strong tenants. It's not the prophet saying, it's Allah(the creator) that binds it upon every believing muslimah...so the question of some christian thinking the extremist are the ones who wear/enforce hijabs is wrong...if religion must be tolerated nd respected by others, then the christians, jews etc should respect us with our beliefs instead of criticizing us...

RomanceRe: Six Things You Should Never Do For A Man Even When In Love by OwoLee(m): 11:20pm On Dec 02, 2014
lastpage:
Looking at the "seven tips" given by the poster concerning relationships, it is not only silly, it is immature and reeks of crass ignorance!

As someone who is married for close to two decades, l can tell you that l have "forgone" some "moral values" (things very important to me) of mine, to suit my wife. For example, l stopped taking alcohol completely cos my wife does not like it.
She in-turn has had to change some of her own "values" to suit me. That is the way "marriage works" .... give and take!

My wife has had to chose a particular colour of Suits & Tie for me because she thinks it fits me more. She has sewn native Attires for me because she sees it on some men and thinks it will look good on me. I have seen some look beautiful in some clothes or hair do and have told my wife l will like her to try it out and it has always worked. The whole idea is to "compliment each other". We would "adjust for each other" as need arises.

Marriage means TWO DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES ARE "TRYING" TO BECOME ONE! (Take note: I said "trying"!).
There is no more two unique personalities! You cant be striving for "uniqueness" in a marriage... what you strive for is "blending"!

growing-up, l have heard "intelligent and matured people" say that when you live long enough with your spouse in a good and healthy relationship/marriage, tow of you start "resembling each other and becoming like Brother and Sister"!
I am sure other people have heard this also.
That is "blending".... not Uniqueness.

As for "handing over the reins", ..... you never had the reins! NEVER!!
But a smart woman knows that despite not holding the "reins"... she can direct the "holder" to steer the horse in the direction she want!
It just takes "subtleness and confidence inspiring" to make a husband do what you want...... not all these "gar-gra and over-sabi"
"Good Mothers" need to inculcate this into their daughters and live by such example.... as my wife is doing. kiss
My own wife knows that if she tries to 'struggle or order me around' on something, l will do the "exact opposite" but because she uses the "right approach" as a wife, l will sacrifice my life for her!

We dont even have this "power struggle" as each one of us is "always trying" to satisfy the other and make the other person happier. Making her happy is my goal and she does her possible best to ensure that l am happy as well.
What else does one want from a spouse or in a marriage? kiss kiss kiss

When immature folks come on here to post nonsense in form of "advice", like they are some authority on "How marriage woks", l just pity the foolish person that will "swallow such gibberish" and start acting it out in their own relationship.
Dont give advice, (even if it is copy and paste) on what you are clueless about.

Anyway, its your life, you can ruin it if you want but dont blame one "foolishly anonymous post" on Nairaland.
Discretion is always advised.
