franchasng: romantic love is different from blood love. What parents share with their kids is blood love. what siblings share is blood love. what husband and wife or boyfriend and girlfriend share is romantic love.
Romantic love is based on romantic feelings which stems from physical qualities, psychological and emotional feelings, and when any of these qualities go missing, the love suffers and may even end.
But blood love even though it can suffer setback is more likely to be rebuilt than romantic love.
Romantic love is not enough reason to marry anybody Then what is enough reason to marry? As I said, nothing sustains a marriage that doesn't want to be sustained. Of all the things that try to sustain a marriage, ROMANTIC love is still the most potent. |

franchasng: romantic love is never enough reason to marry anybody, be it a guy or a lady.
Marriage is beyond romantic love.
Romantic love alone cannot sustain any marriage. I think movies deceive a lot of ladies sha Nothing sustains a marriage that doesn't want to be sustained. And out of the things that try to sustain any Union, love is still the most potent. Where people get it wrong is what love really means. Why do people easily break up for little reasons but can't break up with their siblings for similar reasons? |

fasho01: I married my wife because she is gentle, kind, and understands me. She allows me be me at all times and trusts me to lead our home. Even when I make wrong judgements, she is always supportive and it gives me room to learn, thrive and be the best version of me for our family. I'm not there yet, but with her by my side, I am happily being the man I want to be and this brings me absolute peace.
If I'm to do it all over again, I will honestly choose her again Absolute peace, brother, absolute peace. Every man should only marry a woman that gives them peace. |

TheOnlyUyai: I don't know if it's just me. But, love is the last thing I will marry for. Love comes 4th on my checklist. I mean, it's wavering anyway, so why marry for something that is just short-lived and prone to change? It is only when you don't have money I may agree with you. But if you have money, please marry for love. I repeat, marry for love. And by that, marry someone that loves you, not necessarily someone you love. It might be more applicable to men, though. |

CocoaOla: with Nigeria double digits inflations envys and youths life is endangered here they don't wanna see you progress You guys should stop profiling Nigeria as if we are in a war zone? People are still living normal lives in Naija. Aside from "abroadees" that spend their money in third world countries like Naija, how many of them can live and enjoy lives like people earning 250k in Naija if they should spend their money in the US or Canada? Yes, 250k is about $500 but is the cost of living the same? As for the OP, except there is a sure plan of getting a good-paying job between your time of landing and 6months after, better stay back. Don't go and be doing salesman in McDonald all in the name of living abroad. If you are going there because of your kids or unborn kids, note that with that 250k and a good career progression, you can afford to send your kids there. |

Ahmed4002: Congratulations to you all.
As you can see, the appointment letter is dated September.
So many speculations here and there. That's why I decide to keep quite even when I was asked.. What's the update, you said *Printed* and still no shows.
Wishing all the successful ones all the best in their careers.
Do endeavor to apply for the next supplementary application.
Initially they had plans to cancel all the process and starts afresh, looking at the fact the recruitment was long over due, some people might have gain another opportunity, age, sick, died, travel etc. but the senate stands for it, so that's why only few were selected from the first list and majority from the second list, but still more officers are need.
Just try to apply for the new recruitment process.
All the best in your endeavour's.
Signing out here. Thanks for the info, boss, we appreciate. But why do the government like canceling big recruitment sef? Naso dem wan do during NNPC until they later shut out Experience Hire employ only GTs. But God dey. We can only thank God. |

Peezzy: hmm.. less than 200 level 08 showed up for documentation today, and it wasn't that fast as I left there past 4 and close to 100 were still waiting on queue for the final phase.
If 100 or more 08 show up tomorrow, that will definitely affect the number of 06 to be documented if 08 is given preference ahead of 06 unless the officers decide to stay till night which I doubt because the comptroller that said they'll wait till night today initially asked them to let only 12 more in when 38 have completed the whole process before she changed he mind.
Not sure what might happen tomorrow, just doing my best to let you know what happened there Over 200. I'm one of the 200+ |

Peezzy: For those saying one day is for collection of APL and the next is for documentation, that's not true. We are through with documentation and one of the comptrollers overseeing it all has said even if it is 8pm or later, they'll document everyone there today.
Most people are done and can travel back even though I was hearing some stuffs about registering for pension but some officers said anyone who isn't living nearby can travel back and do that later.
Edit: by document everyone there, I mean every C08 present You're right. But not everyone was able to finish today. But all was able to collect APL. |

You need to be stingy with money to stop gambling addiction. Otherwise, you won't stop once you are in it. A stingy man doesn't want to lose his money. As a stingy man, if you lose your money twice, the pain will stop you from gambling again. |

foxriver8: I sha hope we don’t have to go to camp together with the supplementary guys. It wouldn’t be fair to us that are planning to resign from our current place of work once APL enter hand. I don't think so. I guess the phrase "supplementary list" is just a smokescreen to cover for the money they've collected for the whole 3200 applicants. Thus, this time around, they won't ask for new funds for the recruitment, or the Senate won't ask for a refund or where the money of the remaining applicants would go. |

Shogologo: Lemme share my story. It might just inspire someone out there.
Never give up, In whatever you believe, just never give up 2019 was a big year, a year of hope. NNPC, NCS, immigration and prison service advertised for vacancies. I applied for all. NB: I never believed in seeking jobs through connection ever since I got scammed.,I once made attempt at NCS in 2016. I was scammed 10,600 naira processing fee (CHINDO I. UBA, A/C NO 1130537304, SKYE BANK, whoeer you are, wherever you are. E no go better for you) . Going forward, I got no feedback from immigration an prison service. Buh NNPC did invite me for CBT and interview. Went through the whole process. February 14, 2020, Valentine's day, NNPC dropped success mail to the lucky ones. I got nothing. I was downcasted. I can still remembered how I came back from work, feeling weak inside, I took my bath, dressed my bed. And slept till the next day. Morning came still no mail from almighty NNPC. I decided to move on. I was left with only NCS as the last hope. Mind you we've sat for CBT buh no response from them thereafter. The COVID struck, then came lockdown and economic downturn. There was rumour of the recruitment being suspended. Lockdown was lifted, August through to December, still no news. I gave up, I assumed it was over. I decided to focus on the job I was doing with it's meagre pay. New year 2021 came knocking. I was cleaning my room one morning in preparation to usher in the new year. I came across my application slips. I wanted to tear it and throw it off. Buh something just struck my heart to hold unto it.
Fast forward to mid February 2021. I had issue with my new boss at my place of work. She was attacking me at the slightest opportunity. One Friday like that around 1p.m or thereabout, a brother and friend called me "Alaye, congratulations. Customs shortlist you o". I was the only one I the office. My other colleagues have gone for jumaat prayer. I shouted for joy. Asked the friend to forward me the list. I checked. It was indeed my name. Buh then, 3,500 names were shortlisted. Meaning surely people would be dropped. Fear struck me again buh I put myself together. I asked my boss to grant me leave from work for 5 working days, that I wanted to attend a conference. She reluctantly granted me, hammering on It that my duties will be left unattended to for one whole week. She even gave me 1k. Off to Gwagwalada..... With my full chest full of hope. The whole process was encouraging. Result verification was fine. Other physical test. Endurance race..... I ran like my life depends on it.... The officials congrats us. Ask us to prepare for camp cos we will be summoned soon. I was happy and believed i had landed the Job. March went bye, April, May, June, July..... We were told soon, 5 months isn't something to describe as soon. My high hopes was becoming thin. Call came in from a fellow applicant that we've connected immediately after the 1st screening. Customs don drop list.... Waited for the PDF to circulate but it took time. Left work to get the news paper. All the names in it were strange. My name was not found. Again I said it's over. Then NCS explained "it was a supplementary list. Hope came alive again, but with more competition. Fast forward to the present day. After so many predictions, counter predictions and speculations, November 1, my guy man called again as he did in July, padi, Final List don drop o. I ask him "you see ur name" his reply, the screenshot circulating is not clear, and some people are already lamenting". Omo, that message is not encouraging, but with what he said I wasn't afraid or anxious. I checked the WhatsApp group I was on over 100 messages. Read the message through, just a few said they saw their names.... And there was the PDF staring at me. I downloaded, scroll through, and there was my name, against my application number. It was me. It seems like I was dreaming. I closed my eye and opened it again. It was definitely my name. You have to imagine how I did that CR7 jump of celebration in my room. Fulfillment came, on the first day of a new month.
I had always believed I would get a government job without connection, and I did got it. 14/Feb/2020.... I missed NNPC job. A year later 12/Feb/2021 NCS came calling.... And it here in full. I got the job, my guy man got in too.
Truly, good things come to those who wait. Congratulations to all those who landed this job. And if you didn't, don't give up, what's truly yours will locate you, at the appointed time. Remember, don't give up. Peace unto everyone of us. There is no way I can forget that NNPC story that year. I had to retire the nairaland moniker I normally use to comment on that thread, but God knows best. Again, Immigration I used ND for sef no come out after the screening, despite recruiting about 4,200 applicants. But bose w'oluwa lo n sola. I'm grateful to God now. |
