He is going to come the EPL thinking that it is anything like what obtains over in Spain. But then, at some point, he is definitely going to realise that the EPL, on its own, is a different beast entirely. Untamable.

To be honest, considering his age and other factors, I do not see him doing any sort of magic in the Premier League.

The only advantage that can come out of such a transaction is purely of the financial kind. City will definitely make loads of bucks from signing that guy for sure. Think about all the branding, sponsorships and merchandising that could possibly follow a player of that calibre to the Etihad to start with. They won't even have to stress themselves.

But on the field of play... sorry, I don't see him doing anything special cos the factors in the EPL will curb quite a number of his excesses.

Just my stray thoughts.

Koko is that he was there till the end.. He played in all finals which is the most important stages of tournaments. His presence was enough.. Meanwhile Messi was in his bed sleeping while Ronaldinho xavi and Iniesta did the work from group to finals

There's nothing like hate or bias ....all those thing u mentioned, Ronaldo had done all those stuff ( goals, assists, free kicks and dribbles) and the crazy thing is that he gets results with it ...messi only using his to claim la liga titles... Ronaldo is a goal getter, he is a force ... why should I take a messi ( even tho is is a fantastic player) that can't win me anything asides la liga , to a Ronaldo that has win multiple CL with 2 different teams , scores more important decisive goals than messi for both club and country and it has lead him to winning major trophies for both club and country... for the past 5seasons , Ronaldo has flawed messi when it comes to goals , decisive goals , assists in the CL and national team... in the past 5 years ronaldo has won la liga , Champions league, European Cup for Portugal so as the nations league with Portugal, serie a titles , copa de rey , world club cup...messi other other hand only has la liga titles and copa de rey ( finito) .... a general in the army will prefer a sniper that will strike dead top ranked officers in war thN a soldier that just fires bullets sporadically... any real coach will take a Ronaldo ahead of a messi...fact

I will rather say PEP was luck to have those characteristic of players he had at Barca. Xavi, Iniesta, Messi especially. Since he left barca, how many big players has he created? what trade mark pattern of play did he take to man city and Bayern? Only barca played the tiki taka. why? Then he had players that can play it, players (Xavi & Iniesta) who are more interested in total completed passes than to score a goal. players who play for possession, so they created a unique style. same style that PEP couoldn't create at Bayern and City. They play pass game but it is nothing compared to the trade mark of xavi and Iniesta barcelona.

Ask yourself, in the 3 years Zidane won it who emerged as top scorer in the UCL? Cristiano Ronaldo. who won the semi final and final games for Madrid? CR7 + BALE combination. CR7 made Zidane just like Pep.

I am not saying Pep shouldn't be rated but he is clearly overrated. when you replicate something in different leagues and clubs then i know it's not fluke and that is why Zidane is overrated for me.

Pep has not won the UCL in over 6 years since leaving Messi and barca. 3 years at Bayern without a final and 4 at city now with a single ucl final. we are not talking of winning it o, just enter final he cannot.

Watch all the managers that coached Messi when he was still messi, they all won UCL. Messi makes every coach look so good just as CR7 when he was hot too. Since he left, Madrid is struggling to win anything until barca single handedly dashed them la liga last season, Zidane yansh sef for open.
