you don't do stats or insights with raw data but percentage

efficiency is measured in percentage

you people are not bright at all

if SE has same population that SW that went to writes they'd still have higher number of passes even when you use raw data

that's point one uses of percentage in statistics

no wonder you're being trashed out by tatistics.

Statistics is wide.

Data can be represented in many forms depending on the purposes and target audience.

In any case this representation merely stated the raw population of those who passes WAEC in each region. It didn't state the population that sat for the exam, so how did you arrive at percentages?

West is never leading in education. Anybody who brought out that statistics knows that it is not true. When I did my youth service in yourba land, state of Ogun, it is disheartening to note that many young men and women there could not understand or speak English language exactly what is obtained in the North here. It is very difficult you see an ibo person who cannot communicate in English language. You can say majority of them are traders, sure. Most of them are graduates other passed their elementary and secondary school before serving their masters.

So people should discard Statistics based on WAEC results and rely on your personal opinion?

Which lead?

You're talking about 5 credits in Waec and Neco😂. Whereas a region you so much hate is churning out As back to back with highest in Jamb year in year out.

You guys are dragging position with Zamfara state now.

Soon the whole of SW will be litered with Almajari. Before Tinubu finishes 4years.

Awo will be having neck pain in his grave right now due to excess turning in disgust.

You don't understand basic Statistics.

The SW has the highest NUMBERS of students that passs O/Level. Having 350 000 students that passed O/Level is a force in education.

It doesn't detract from any other region that produce highest score in JAMB (which is just one person) .

Truth be said, south east is leading in Education and they have been consistent at it.

There's no hiding it.

Take note. That enrolment is not the same as leading.

What do you mean by leading?
If 350 000 students passed O/L with five credits in the S/West which is the highest number in the whole whole country (based on Geopolitical zones), what do you call that?

1) Protests occurred in several cities and several times, in and out of Yorubaland e.g Minna, Kano,Suleja,Oshogbo, Abuja, Lagos, Ibadan, Warri, Ilorin etc

2) Protests can be permanent

3) Protests can NOT solve economic problems.

4) Some Nigerians especially those involved in the production, storage and marketing of foods really gained from the process. Nigerians who are into export business are praising Tinubu.

Nigerians need to understand that Nigerian economy is a summation of the economy of all the 36 States+ FCT, so Governors should not be posturing like outsiders in the economic development of their States and Nigeria in general.

You need a broad based political party with visible presence in most States to win presidential election in a country like Nigeria.
The LP had very little presence in the NW, NE and SW.

The party won Lagos and had substantial support in some parts of Abeokuta, RCCG camp, Ibadan and few other urban areas but was virtually absent in other parts of the S/West.

In the NW, the LP only received substantial support I Southern Kaduna and among non-indigenes in Kano.

The LP received little support in Adamawa and Taraba where there were substantial Christian voters.

You need more than these to win.

As you are making this comparison, do well to consider inflation.

The removal of fuel subsidy rocketed the prices of everything, thereby making nonsense of the apparent increment in the federal allocation.

This is common sense!

The MAIN thing that States spend money on = salaries of workers.

The Salaries of workers hasn't been increased. Most Governors get away without any scrutiny.

How many times have you heard anything about the Governors of Osun, Jigawa,Imo, Delta or Sokoto doing anything?

Most Nigerians don't even know the names of these Governors let alone know whatever they are doing.

In most developed countries, the Gov't subsided food productions to make it easy for the consumers to buy.

This is LASG policy, not FG programme, you can go to Abuja to complain about the 'people you think are sharing billions'

This programme will have significant impact on the economy if at least 20 States replicate it. It will promote consumption of what we produce because the foods are produced locally and millions of Agricultural workers will be gainfully engaged

The foods are paid for .
They aren't free. This is an organised market.

It reduces the effects of shylocking middlemen by buy directly from the farmers and selling to the consumers.

The Farmers will be encouraged to produce more because these foods are produced locally.

A government dishes out calamitous economic policies that have impoverished the common man, then turns around to provide palliatives that are in no way commensurate with the sufferings they have inflicted on the people.

It is not palliative.

The economic policies has advantages and disadvantages.
It is meant to stimulate greater local productivities and less reliance on foreign goods.

Instead of lamenting everyday on Social Media, Nigerians hardly discuss about solutions to their problems.

Good

But the first question is how sustainable this is? Will the states be buying food and selling at discounted price going forward? .

Secondly is that this is a distortion of the same market reforms Tinubu claimed to be carrying out. If you're creating a parallel market for goods, you are opening the market as a whole up for abuse and disruption in supply as the state certainly has more purchasing power than other marketers. A model closer home is the fuel subsidy that's being grappled with today.

The states and FG should instead invest in agriculture on a mechanised scale while giving food stamps to low income earners to augment their supplies.

Nigeria is Federation of States and all States aren't meant to be doing the same thing.

This programme is LASG policy. It doesn't affect production of food in Katsina, Delta or Ekiti States.

The LASG agency is buying foods directly from the producers in Ogun, Kwara, Niger States and selling it cheaply to residents of Lagos.
