davidylan:
I had to . . . i will boldly state that i've been down that road too and the number one problem with breaking the addiction of masturbation is what you feed your mind. Spend too much time watching TV or reading books that are overtly sexual in nature and you can bet all your prayers for that day has just gone to waste.

Engage your mind in spiritual activities, mix with friends of like minds like you and whom you are not afraid to share your deepest problems with . . . there is nothing like having fellow christians you can be accountable to. Most importantly its time to start asking God for a life-partner.

With God all things are possible. Dont kill yourself with worry, others have had even worse trials and temptations too but God's grace is sufficient for you and me.
going by several of your posts in sexuality, the kindest thing i can say is that you have graduated from masturbation to full time fornication  tongue

do you remeber to call your christian friends when your dates 'come home for a drink'  tongue

davidylan:
LMAO! I'm going to try that out. Thanks Olaadegbu for this though.
does this mean you are still er on the road  grin

Those who profess to be Christians yet give themselves to masturbation evidently lack the fear of God (Prov.16:6)
so davidylan, you don't fear your loving god cheesy

considering the fact that by your own insinuation, you are either still on the road, or long gone on the road of fornication tongue
IslamThe Complete Tahrirolvasyleh by oybv101(op): 1:42am On Jul 08, 2009
google Tahrirolvasyleh, and all you will find is the blah blah blah about the fourth volume of the book

well, the book has no fourth volume. i now recall that a year ago davidylan and osisi were going on about the book, and sex with cows etc as well as their beloved 'thighing' some evangelist has been watching too much porn is and i provided a link to the fact that no fourth volume of the book exists.

the book only has two volumes. there is a rumoured third that cannot be found

anyway, here is a link to the complete Tahrirolvasyleh

http://www.al-shia.org/html/eng/books/fiqh&usool/islamic-laws/tahrir/index.html

i would appreciate it if gen2genius or davidylan or osisi or their able padawan noetic can provide us with the full text of the so called fourth volume, and not just the so called quotes on sex with babies and animals .
Nairaland GeneralMy Posts Keep Disappearing by oybv101(op): 5:22am On Jul 07, 2009
the other day, i made a post about christianity and slavery in response to osisi in the foreign affairs thread. in less than a second, the post disappeared. the post however, is still resident in my profile under previous posts

the same thing happened several times today. i made posts about the age of mary's marriage, birth of jesus, and they kept disappearing.

is this the forum bot, a moderator, or something else?

i saw a refenece by DHTML about long posts being attacked by the bot as spam. looking for some sort of guideline.

attempts to repost deleted posts got me banned for spamming.

@ Jarus----Being very frank here people like you are the main problem we have in this country as long as you can be out of situation it doesn`t matter to you any longer, no power then you`d say well thank God me I have a gen, no fuel now and oh thank God you have fuel abi?

ComputersRe: Low Virtual Memory, What To Do? by oybv101: 6:20am On Apr 21, 2009
navigate to drive c

the black squares show space taken up by your applications, etc. so look for the big ones. you can use the software to navigate to them
you must not delete any .sys file. the reason for recommending it is that freeing up hard disk space may help

in retrospect neototse was right though, sequoia view is not that user friendly. try windirstat. its more user friendly than sequoia view. (abeg no vex for merry go round) the idea is just so you can find exactly what is taking up your hard disk space.
PoliticsRe: How Did You Get Fuel Today? by oybv101: 9:32pm On Apr 20, 2009
after a thoroughly relaxed saturday, i decided to quickly pop out to buy petrol. i'd been postponing all day. imagine my shock when i got to the station and saw a queue! and a big one! since i had enough petrol to carry my gen over night, and it was a saturday, i simply hit the station at 6.45 the next day. i was lucky - the station was empty and i was able to fill all my jerrycans. as long as lastma and nupeng sort themselves out by thursady, i should be alright. otherwise. . .well i do work for a downstream company. . . cheesy

CareerRe: Electrical Engineering: Aspirants and Practitioners by oybv101: 5:15pm On Apr 20, 2009
My take away from all that is that you need to be hands on in this environment, or else you won't be able to marry the difference between theory and practical. You need to be able to adapt to various environments, and more importantly show leadership. As an engineer leading technicians, you must understand the technicalities of what they are doing, and must be able to provide them direction. This direction you should be able to decipher as a result of your training as an engineer. There are various other job skills separate from the technical know-how that you must develop in very short time (managerial ability and emotional intelligence for example) or else you won't be effective as an engineer. In fact, the basics of your profession (electricity and electronics) must be mastered by you, by the time you leave school, not after, else those technicians will continue to show you up as an engineer without substance. My charge to young people is this, get yourself armed while still in school, don't just go with the flow and have the feeling of 'dem go train me for job'. That more than anything makes you a more attractive hire.
this is very true within the nigerian environment where technicians consider themselves to be the equals or betters of engineers. in an logical society, an engineer is not expected to be proficent in hands on, but naija is not an ordinary society. you have to know your stuff.

there is NOTHING funny about the narration of a rape. this is only one of the reasons why women in Nigeria keep silent. sometimes when i hear the way some of us talk about the ordeals of rape victims - i remeber one girl yes a girl telling me the rapsts caught their fun, or a guy talking about how some armed robber rapists gbadun as the victims were fine girls. angry angry angry angry

would anyone see anything humorous if the victim(s) were people close/related to them? or would they be cursing the bastards ?

Horus:
When America was allegedly discovered and colonized by England, England did not populate her American colonies with people who were refined and cultured. All the convicts were sent in America. The prisons in England were emptied of prostitutes, thieves, murderers, whores and many different kinds of freaks. They were sent  to populate this country. When these thieves and liars arrived in America, they created one of the most criminal societies that have ever existed on the Earth since time began.
actually, you're confusing the us with Australia - which actually was a penal colony
ComputersRe: Installing Windows XP Without A CD-ROM Drive by oybv101: 9:04pm On Apr 18, 2009
another thing you can do. . .

assuming you have access to another pc, copy the contents of the cd to a folder on a flashdrive, copy this to your desktop, and run. it will work

earlier this year, i installed windows 7 on my old toshiba. the dvd of that laptop is practically dead, do eventually, i installed daemon tolls, mounted the windows 7 image, commenced installation, and yes, it worked.
RomanceRe: Would A Man's Bad Past Affect His Future? by oybv101: 5:07pm On Apr 18, 2009
it seems that people are looking at this solely from the perspective of sex/romantic entanglements

will a reformed criminal's past affect his future? in nigeria, it depends on the grade of criminal. a small time crook yes, a big time one eg ibori - no. actually its the same all over the world, in retrospect. clinton's adultery did not do much to his future imho, however, gary hart's adultery cost him big time.

i believe in karma, though it rarely bites you in the way you expect. a master playboy can usually live life without any repercussions of his past escapades, but he may have daughters who he would be afraid for ( that they would meet a fellow like him)

whether your past affects your future may also depend on how much you refuse to think about/plan for the future . this is what happens to club boys in university - 90% of them are so fixated on the big boy delusions etal, that they never take their studies seriously and eventually come out with pass degrees if they come out at all. (no way that will not affect your future) on the other hand , some do think about the future, and hit the books with the same fervence that they hit the parties so they make it out alright.

alot of us who have been the victims of people's irresponsibilty etal would love them to get their comeuppance, but the world does not always work that way.

u're not happy we can all seat at home and see internet. u've forgotten so soon how we all used to go and buy time in cafes, looking at those wicked clocks ticking away, sometimes we had to save some minutes to use the next day. . . other times we would try some used tickets to see if the good Samaritan who bought the ticket left anything in it. . .  yet at other times we'll rub shoulders with the cafe attendant so we can be friends and get some free time from him. . . or we try to get the admin password of the cafe (oh lordy at tht time most cafes in my area used the default admin/admin login sequence). 9ja is progressing joor!  tongue
yes o!

the fuckers running the cybercafe close to my crib practically banned me the downloader who kept hogging their bandwidth. and towards the end, their connection was so slow. . .
big downloads (anything over 30mb) were completely out of it. another cafe . . . 30 mins for a 2mb download . . . angry. with the connection consisitently breaking. . .

i can knock starcomms, but i am now free of the tyranny of cybercafes, it assholes in my company who lock download ips, and friends etal who i have to cajole to help me download big files.

thanks starcomms for windows 7. . . autocad mep 2010,autocad 2010 and a whole lot of other big dls. your genie still sucks big time ! and we would all appreciate more bandwidth  cheesy
