Politics › Re: Buhari: No Nuclear Power Plant In Kogi And Akwa Ibom by oyeludef(m): 8:02am On Jun 21, 2015 |
tunjion: The cons out weigh the pros.
Disposal of nuclear waste is very expensive. As it is radioactive it has to be disposed of in such a way as it will not pollute the environment. Decommissioning of nuclear power stations is expensive and takes a long time. (In fact we have not yet decommissioned one!) Nuclear accidents can spread 'radiation producing particles' over a wide area, This radiation harms the cells of the body which can make humans sick or even cause death. Illness can appear or strike people years after they were exposed to nuclear radiation and genetic problems can occur too. A possible type of reactor disaster is known as a meltdown. In a meltdown, the fission reaction of an atom goes out of control, which leads to a nuclear explosion releasing great amounts of radioactive particles into the environment. See Chernobyl.
The people of akwa ibom and kogi will resist every attempt to site nuclear power plant on their land. Nuclear plant that Buhari or Boko haram can bomb with helicoter like they have presently done in Cross River.
Nigeria is lawless and not ready for anything nuclear until they respect the rule of law. lalasticlala fp the land use act/decree leaves all lands in Nigeria as a property of the government. so, what "our land" are you talking about? |

But you practically insulted people's background by comparing them to Buhari when we needed a solution. Do you think they will listen to you? wef |

Does it mean this is the only solution you can proffer for the problem?
You may be amazed to discover that some people who open thread and type here have higher degrees than PMB. Some people's parents are professors. what problem r u talking abt? because he said west Germany it has become a problem? You guys r pathetic calling him a dullard. HumbleFarmer: my questions are; how do they know that PDP alone was involve the ghost voters.? was the card readers recording who voted for PDP n APC? was the entire vote in d region awarded to PDP? why is d card readers analysis revealing only where PDP won?
Na waooo dat isn't d way it works. What would usually happen is dat votes from polling uniits where such occurs will b canceled. Nd overall valid vites would b re counted |

Ymodulus: Oooooooo!!!! Bro thanks sooooooooooo much. You understood the video and clearly, you watched it well. Omoyele was by her side when she questioned Mugabe and he owns the Media house. He supported her, he can't come back to sack her now. No!! That's not Omoyele style of journalism.
Look at his operation subsidy protest video in the United state where he disrupted the meeting abruptly bringing it to an end. It flows with his style of journalism. From a student activist to a media Mogul knowm for investigate journalism. And someone here is claiming she was sacked.
Lack of comprehension / hypocrisy. This our problem in nigeria don't mind d busy bodies. they r always quick to comment without finding out details. |
