Yea, I remember the December customer party. Demola is still in P&O office in Apapa, I guess.

It would even be easier for you since you work in line and operations dept. A lot of my former colleagues moved to oil & gas, and are handling logistics operations duties there. It's a bit different from shipping, but if you expose yourself to all you can learn while still in Maersk, it'll come in very handy for you.

@ Temi1

Maersk acquired P&O, not PIL. I used to be with P&O but left when Maersk took over. I moved to PIL where I am presently. All the companies have different operational systems, but the I enjoyed my working period with P&O more than any other. If you are planning to move out of the industry, try applying for a logistics job in oil & gas companies.

@ tobyto
You'll simply start by dropping your resume with them. I don't know if they have to request for it before you do so, or you could just walk in and drop it so that you'll be considered for the next batch.
Temi1 should be able to advise you better.
All the very best!

I know Jibodu, Christy and Amosu. Akujobi came in after I had left the place. I met him when Maersk acquired P&O Nedlloyd, and we had to join forces temporarily for a smooth merger. I'm with PIL now. Which line are you planning to move to? Be very careful oh! Look well before you leap. The industry is currently going through some funny changes with various mergers and one cannot afford to make any mistake. But I know that with Maersk on your c.v, you have prospects. Just take your time to plan it well.

Nice nice! I worked in Documentation with DTO and later moved to Sales but didn't spend much time there. Got an offer with another line and moved.

Yea, Sneedyz is right. All you need do is to encourage yourself that you'll get the job since you have gotten that far. It shouldn't be any different from the earlier ones. I used to work with their sister-company, Maersk and I know their tests are not that difficult. Brave up guy! Go for the test and come back with the good news.

As a follow-up: I was sent a mail, acknowledging receipt of my application (despite the 11 days lateness) and was assured that it would be considered. I pray it works oh! Anyways, I'll keep you posted on developments. Thanks again Seun!
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Jobs In Nigeria | Vacancies by Oyin100(f): 9:59am On Jun 16, 2006

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Ap Moller Test by Oyin100(f): 9:53am On Jun 12, 2006
Yea, you heard right. You'll be given 12 minutes to answer 50 questions. The questions are not difficult, but I can tell you that the time is short! I'll advise you this: if you read a question twice and you don't get it, skip to the next one. I don't think there's negative marking, but just try your best to answer as many as you can, and correctly too.
I wish you all the very best!

It's very obvious he doesn't deserve you, or your presence at his wedding. Don't give him that chance to hurt you again since you admit you still feel for him a bit. There are better men out there, and more interesting weddings to attend!

Fashion / Re: At What Age Do Men Stop Dressing Like Boys? by Oyin100(f): 3:37pm On Apr 25, 2006
Justin, it's always good to dress as freely as you want. Sometimes however, some nice (designer) shirts are better than t-shirts. Maybe all you need is just to mix your t-shirt/jeans style with a little shirt/pants style. That would give you a new look once in a while, and less complaints.
Family / Re: How To Get My Aunt To See A Doctor About Her 'Spiritual Attack' by Oyin100(f): 3:22pm On Apr 25, 2006
@ Spike

Pls let us know what the Doctors say is wrong with her. Now that she has finally gone to the hospital, I pray that there would be a cure for the illness. Not to worry, we'll continue wishing her well and praying for her.
