President Muhammadu Buhari has formally announced he is coming for second term in the 2019 elections.President Buhari announced he will seek re-election in 2019 on Monday at a meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress leadership.

The National Executive Committee(NEC) meeting of the party is holding in Abuja today.Mr. Buhari made the declaration after the media had left the NEC hall of APC secretariat in Abuja.

The Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Doguwa, confirmed to PREMIUM TIMES that
“It is true that the president has announced his commitment to seek re election in 2019”.

While the president has long indicated he will seek a second term of four years, this is his first public announcement.

A young lady survived a ghastly accident few mins after taking selfie in a Keke Napep is filled with appreciation to God following the horrible tragedy that was averted.

The accident survivor simply identified as ‎Eneh Ogechi‎ who’s based in Enugu state was involved in a ghastly accident after a truck crashed into the tricycle (Keke Napep) she was in and it was totally crushed but nothing happened to her.

The accident occurred moments after she took a selfie in the tricycle as she came out from the crash in one piece.
she shared on Facebook saying;

Please oooo my people help me thank God for saving me from this Terrible accident I don’t know what and where I would have been by now but here I am typing with my own hands I can’t thank you enough father for your mercies and love I thank you..

A female Corp member on Twitter narrated how she and her friend who’s also a Corp member met her friend’s dad and his sidechic at a party in Lagos, the Corp member told her father she was in Abuja for her final clearance and her dad told the family he’s going to Port-Harcourt for official purpose.





When the Corp member saw her father and his sidechic she couldn’t confront him because she told her father she was in Abuja.

The sex tape of Nigerian singer, Douglas Jack Agu a.k.a Runtown, was leaked.

Eric Many who obtained a Federal High Court injunction on the singer, restraining him from performing and recording till he settles his debt with the label, have also ran a private investigation on leaked blackmail ‘sex tape’ which uncovered Runtown as the alleged sponsor of the leaked photos.

A statement which disclosed the outcome of the label’s investigation, reads in part;

‘Preliminary findings have revealed that the released sex tape and Whatsapp chat purportedly leaked by Runtown’s label is totally fake and a badly executed stunt by the artist himself. Investigations have led to the capture of a suspect (name withheld) who confessed to using a fake Instagram account to spread the false sex tape leak on Runtown’s request’.

‘We have maintained from the beginning of this saga that Eric Many has a verifiable court injunction against Runtown and we’ll not resort to blackmail or cheap social media stunts as we believe in the rule of law. Investigations are on-going as regards the leaked sex tape story and we’ll let the law take its full course’ the statement said.

An epileptic 21-year-old Nigerian man identified Kenneth a.k.a Dagba reportedly died yesterday in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, after taking an illicit drug combination called “gutter water” at Durak hotel on Saturday.

According to online sources the illicit drug combination called “gutter water”, is a combination of codiene, refnol, tramadol, cannabis and water or juice.

The man who went into seizures, was rushed to Ikorodu general hospital, where he died. Friends of the deceased have already taken to social media platforms to pen down tributes to him.

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has rejected his inclusion in a list of alleged looters released by the Nigerian government through Lai Mohammed on Sunday. Mr Fani-Kayode was listed as number 18 in a list of 24 individuals accused of having looted the treasury during the past administration.

Mr Fani-Kayode said he received N866 million as the director of publicity during the reelection campaign of former President Goodluck Jonathan and the money was not given to him by any government official


The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed released the first part of the list on Friday and released the second part of the list yesterday.

But in a statement emailed to PREMIUM TIMES, Mr Fani-Kayode said although he received funds in his capacity as director of publicity during the reelection campaign of former President Goodluck Jonathan, the money was not passed to him by any government official.

Two taxi drivers identified as Nathan Ogbara, 33 and Justin Amos, 32 have been arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command, for reportedly raping and robbing their female passenger in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The Taxi drivers who were about fleeing the crime scene, were arrested at Tombia Roundabout Yenagoa and according to the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Asinim Butswat, the mobile handset of the victim was recovered from the rapists.

On 1st April 2018, at about 0200hrs, police were alerted that a young girl was sexually assaulted and her phone was stolen from her by two men operating a taxi, at opposite Jubilee hotel, Kpansia, Yenagoa.

The victim, 22, reported that she contacted one Nathan to drop her at her house at Agudama Epie, after she participated in a dance competition at a car wash. The suspect, called one Justin to join him. .

Along the road, opposite Jubilee hotel, the suspects parked their cars and dragged the girl to a nearby bush and raped her. They took her phone and zoomed off towards Tombia Roundabout.
