Thank you for your reply.
Yeah they have sent me links to help my process of getting the I-20 but they are not very responsive. Like the program coordinator I was supposed to get in contact with is not available, I was given a wrong email and they said I can book zoom meeting for help with questions which I did and nobody responded.

One of the questions I have is regarding the proof of fund, I need to know the amount that a sponsor need to have in their account ( if part or the full fees) and do I need to also print mine with a sponsor

Hey 🤠

1. You have mixed up your questions. One needs to know a lot of stuffs about your scenarios. I dont want to generalise. Tell us what is really going on.

2. USA institutions cannot give you wrong email address. Bcareful .

Hello. Good day everyone. Please what’s the best way to get pof?

Also, I’m confused as to uni or college, I got admitted to fisher college and Webster uni.

For I-20, Webster demands 30k but I’d have to pay 6k upon resumption, fisher college is asking for abt 50k bank statement. Please help guys. Also the talk about college and uni, are the chances of getting a visa lower with college.

Also, if I have to use like all these services that put the money in your acct, how will I prove that the money has been there for months seeing that they’d just be putting the money in my account?

Hey 🤠

1. The best way to get POF is to request one from your sponsor . It can be in the form of a Financial statement, affidavit of support or scholarship award letter .

2. You can attend Uni or college providing that any one you chose is SEVP approved. But in juxtaposition, Webster University stands out.

3. Dont use any services that puts money in your account. Beware of fraudsters, they will just complicate your visa process. Talk to your sponsor to provide evidence of support for you. Your sponsor can issue his or her bank statement to you. * On the other hand, USA embassy does not operate like the UK and Canada where you have to put a certain amount of money for some months. All the USA embassy want to see is the availability of the fund and the authenticity.

3. The best sponsors you can use are , your parents, family members , relatives or employer . You may however use anyone who is willing to help but embasy usually wonders why would a none relative or employer be willing to spend multi- million naira for you without any profit . Of course USA embassy will investigate your documents.

4. The best time to ask for graduate assistantship is in the beginning of your application. The question of interest would pop up in your application for admission and your incoming or future funds would be communicated to you in your admission letter prior to the issuance of your Form I-20

Good day all

Please I just got admission for a masters program in a university in Alabama(AAMU). Please can anyone kindly put me through what I need to know. I’m still trying to understand the steps to get I-20.

I also need advice on how to be a student with family ( husband and son). I have a sponsor but it’s not a complete sponsorship.

Any advice relevant would be appreciated, thanks

Hey 🤠

1. If you have truly gotten admission at AAMU then you are already Understanding the steps towards receiving your Form I-20 (USA schools admission pack) .

2. But, spsychologically it seems someone is helping you out in the process . Despite this , you are supposed to have access to your application portal where the progress of your admission process would be outline.

3. You should also have an admission counselor or someone you are communicating with in the school (who can also tell you the next step in your admission progress Or How did the school communicated your admission offer to you?

4. Anyways , you should be ready to send a financial evidence (bank statement) to the school before they can issue your Form I-20. Very few schools may also demand spot deposit from $200 above before they can finally send out the Form I-20.

5. It is not always a good idea for an Msc applicant to process application with dependents family accompanying person on F2-visa. It is only good for a Phd applicant and better for those going on mission studies.[/b But it is still very possible.

6. Dont sit at home and be watching television.
Be careful.

Love ur contributions sir, and what if the applicant is younger and chose to go to a college cause of its COA? I'd appreciate ur response sir

Hey 🤠

@Danieljobb. I know you are a troll who was sent from the cabal's camp but i'm still gonna lecture all of you. Go n pick a pen and a sheet of paper my friend.

1. People who spread rumor that going to a community college is not good to justify a student visa are ignorant and should keep the misinformation to themselves.

2. The only REQUIREMENTS for an International Student on a Student VISA is that you must have an admission to a SEVP approved school which 95% of USA community colleges falls under. It could be anything from clown college to a 4 year college. Many Indian and Asian students after graduating from high-school arrived USA just to learn (American) English at an ESL school. Is ESL schools better than a community college ?

3. One of the top reasons for denial of a visa is insufficient finances and inability to prove home-ties. IN FACT, choosing a community college shows that you have considered the matter carefully and chosen to start with a less expensive option.

4. Even for extremely wealthy families from Africa, choosing a community college makes a lot of sense (like immersion study centre ) : the student can get used to living in the USA and to USA teaching methods ( How many of African high school graduates, even University
graduates can perfectly write down a direct classroom- speech from lecturers and Professors from major American Universities who are typical American teachers ?).

4. I use Indians and Chinese students as my case studies (they send highest percentage of students to the USA) and if your reason of chosing a community college in lieu of an American University is COA then you have a reasonable reason.

5. If the applicant is younger then attending a community college in USA as a training ground to familiarise with American style of teachings and to adapt to lecturer's accents are reasonable points to the consular.

6. Even Nigerian teenagers still thinks they are in secondary school by their lifestyles on Nigerian University campuses, Not to talk of the pressure and over-excitement a 17/18/19 to 20 yr olds Nigerian students would encounter on American University campuses.

7. I am not placing community colleges above USA Universities but dont rule it out! Don't have the knowledege more than the American government who gave SEVP gestures to Community colleges.

If he can convince the consular officer during his interview I don't see why he won't get his visa.

He has to be prepared to explain beyond a reasonable doubt his study gap.

If he can't convince himself then there's no need to go there.

You and I can't are not the author of his fate!

Hey 🤠

@MrSoftlife.

1. God bless you for your outlook. In your explanation you will not advice someone to chose a community college over University but You still gave out the possibility of visa on the condition that the OP has to convince the consular.

2. Instead of them to come out with reasonable opinions like yours above , they would be like " why do you like misleading unsuspecting applicants ? You are a thief 🙂

3. Any community college that issues Form I-20 in the USA is a SEVP certified and approved. Do they even know the meaning ?

1. Go to Republic of Benin (Cotonou).

2. Or talk to families and friends in the USA to assist you in the payment .

3. Becareful in using other avenue aside of the above mentioned because some payment Apps might over-charge you or refuse to transfer your payment to SEVIS . Also, do not hand your money to 3rd party agent except your family member.

4. For USA option, you will need to fill a payment coupon via SEVIS website (Google it) and print it out before emailing it to the person paying on your behalf in America.

Good morning guy's, I just got an admission into a college in Texas, my admission letter and I-20 ready sent to me, my problem is I'm 32 years old now going into a college, do you guys think this is a problem for me during the interview at the embassy

Hey 🤠

1. My first USA VISA was gotten via Cabrillo College (F-1) and i was over 25 yrs of age that year (sorry not bragging pls).

2. There is no age limit in education. While studying at Cabrillo, i assisted another lady who was 35 yr of age and working in a small firm with NCE certificate to achieve the same feat.

3. It's not going to be problem if you can give good reasons for going that route. Some community colleges even have programs which you may not easily find in USA Universities , and they are actually for matured applicants , average American students who have left or drop out of schools , students who love practical studies ie arts and crafts as against reading and calculations etc.

4. Give good reasons for choosing that school, proof that you will return after study, your ties or what will make you return to Nigeria , ability to pay your school fees and your over all profiles (as indicated in your DS-160) will certainly work for you .

what are the documents i will need or what things she will need to provide for me to apply for visa?

Is USA interview appointment in Canada easy to get?

Please house i need more insight to this

Hey 🤠

* You will soon be receiving back pats and sweet words all because you 're in Canada but ...

* A small good OR bad decision now , can change all your tomorrow's.

* You have few options but i will give you my best advice because i know where you are going .

1. Your would-be wife is an important personality to the USA government, therefore, take it or leave it that she is being monitored (i dont want to use spy). If you are not very smart, the USA embassy would truncate or turn down all of your applications.

2. My best advice to you (esp if you 're on Phd/Msc) is to remain in Canada and keep your study pace and let your partner keep coming then get married in Canada, and she can file for a spousal visa for you .

3. Presently , your school (hostel or off-campus) address is considered temporary and does not count in terms of a residential address but you can use your wife’s (after marriage in Canada) USA home address as your home address and continue your study in Canada.

4. Tell your partner to start talking about you with friends and families (esp at work) and you should attempt to post few of your joint pictures on her social handles (USA embassy will do background checks on you guys).

5. Its 98% easier for her friends and families to come over to Canada for your marriage (than to travel to Nigeria ) in which you will use the opportunity to invite your parents or any family member to Canada.

6. Your plan visits to USA and her previous visits to you is all about human assimilation which will eventually lead to marriage. Therefore, face your study and let her keep coming (advice her to bring friends or family along next time ) and behave like the real African man when you are alone with her (9-months ) 😊

7. If your attempting B2 visa is denied, it would truncate any of your future applications because you would have indicated her as your reason of visit .

8. If however you want to visit by all means then go through your present school in Canada ie departmental tours to USA, faculty students/group visits , exchange program etc.

Hey 🤠

1. Your dad is a senior lawyer and mom has business with over 30 employees while they have been to the UK and Australia is a personal story that doesn't shake the USA embassy.

2. When you are ready to tell Nairalanders their missions in the USA or who is inviting them as well as their age ranges then a genuine responder can guide you.

3. If anyone answer you based on your unclear question then that individual is just generalising.

4. @Soludonido. I ate 3 types of foods at 8.am today and by 1.pm noon I had slight stomach upset. Can you tell me the food that caused the slight stomach upset ?

Hello Gurus,

I applied to four schools in the US, however, only one school gave me admission, others knack me reject.

So I am a bit concern as regards what to say if the VO ask: How many school gave me admission. Just looking for a better way to sell my story considering i got only one admit. It is for PhD and it is funded too.

I would appreciate your response.

Hey 🤠

* Consular officers does not ask that question from every student . That is why i go against general transcripts.

1. I like a distance relative answer to one consular who asked such question , she (my cousin) said " My first application was submitted to Columbia University and you can see that i was admitted with stipends " Are you asking me why did i stopped applying to (lesser) other schools ? She got her visa eventually.

2. You are a PhD applicant. Don't study Bsc and Msc transcripts. PhD application is not easy to spread out .

Thanks for being helpful, their admission criteria wasn’t flexible as one may think, it was a long, tedious and cost effective process I had to send my transcripts for evaluation as one of the major admission criteria’s also my years of work experience, letter of recommendation and my letter of purpose were the basis of requirements for an admission decision to be met. The business school for this program at this institution is AACSB accredited which is the gold standard of accreditation in business schools and is only 5% of business schools worldwide that meet this criteria.
secondly healthcare managers/administrators aren't necessarily doctors or nurses people for real go to study this program.
MSc is also a good fit for my years of experience as this will enable me advance in my career within the health sector but I also believe with an MBA I can also diversify in my career pursuits.
I believe my major problem was from the funding aspect of it. That’s my own take Though.

Hey 🤠

*@Younggee19

1. The admission criteria you listed is identical with 95% of Universities in the USA. Why not use it to apply to UC Berkeley or U Michigan ?

1. Anyways, i like your lioness defense. Since you believe that your problem is the funding aspect, why not work on it ?

Hey 🤠

1. Naturally if you apply for Tourist (B1/B2) VISA appointment the automatic date you will secure is the year 2025.

2. Yes you can get 2024 dates but you have to get those dates under Emergency Appointment.

3. For Tourist VISA you have to apply under Medical or Business Emergency.

Next time, kindly go to the Tourist/Visiting visa thread. This is Study visa section.

Good afternoon to all Visa experts and USA aspirants in the house

I recently applied for an F-1 visa and got an appointment date for late October meanwhile I’m supposed to resume in September 😢

I was advised to fill an emergency request for expedited visa appointment which I did immediately. Now I have a gotten a ‘denial’ response to the request, meaning that my October appointment stands.

I need expert advice on this situation PLEASE

1. If I proceed for the interview in October for a program that should have resumed in September, I’ll most likely be denied 🙅‍♂️

2. If I were to defer my resumption till January, My I-20 already has the September resumption date and I’m not sure how that would affect the visa decision (even if I get a supporting document to that effect, I’m not even certain of that yet)

3. Any other possibility of getting an earlier date for appointment

Thank you

Hey 🤠

1. If your Host-University in the USA resumes in September and you attends visa interview in October then the consular officer will view you as an Irresponsible Student.

2. Leave your October visa appointment as it stands and defer your admission to Spring 2025 (January/Feb). Your Host-University should issue a new Form I-20 to you . If they cannot send it via DHL they should e-Mail it to you.

3. If you still have the option of Reschedule in your cgi portal you can keep using it otherwise you have to wait till October OR go and buy another MRV.

Hey 🤠

1. The University you applied to (though accredited but) contributed 35% towards your visa denial. Its a Private Roman Catholic University which was known as Rosary College until the year 1997. It is also affiliated to the Sinsinawa Dominican Sisters. Some schools has underground meanings in America.

2. The consular officer discovered another misrepresentation in your proof of funds permutations (despite the fact that you might be right) ;

* Employer = To cover 30185
* You = To cover the remaining: 1,169

How can a reputable employer leaves you with such a little amount ? With the above quotas , the CO thinks that your employer is supposed to leave no stone unturned.

3. In the USA, clinicians (doctors and nurses) are already doing or taking the position of a healthcare administrator, and therefore, you will most likely have to have MBA/MHA with few years of experience to even have a chance. STEM-MBA would have been better .

4. Therefore , i will justify @Ebdumi that you should not have gone for Healthcare Management after having held your positions for 7 years . STEM-MBA/Msc Economics etc would have been some better courses.

5. You did not impress the consular officer (in proving ties , genuine intention, doubts your sponsor's letter and felt you applied to that school because of Her flexibilities in admission criteria.

Hello,
So, this is it
I am in a WhatsApp group that makes it sound very impossible to get a visa with full sponsorship. They say you have to get funding or support with your personal funds.

Well, reality:
1. This is my first time applying
2. I am 35yrs, single
3. Program: Msc Financial Economics.
4. Present qualifications: Bsc Economics, Chartered Accountant.
5. A brief of my work history: presently, I am a Senior Accountant in a university earning 170k monthly (worked for 3yrs), and I have worked in a pharmaceutical company before now, earning 100k (4yrs)
6. The uncle no be my real uncle sha.
7. The uncle sells computers hardwares.

The Lamba I want to create:
1. I am an orphan. My uncle is my mother's brother who has been responsible for me since age 5. So he is more to say, my father.
2. Before working at the University, I have worked in his firm while writing my professional exams. I decided to go to the University because I want to have a professional experience with a much more bigger and complex organization. This is because, our company (my uncles' is expanding).
3. For home ties: I will be coming back to take a role
As a financial controller in my uncle's firm as my uncle is looking to expand into asset management and consulting services, so I will be managing this part of the business. Also, I am in a serious relationship and will be coming back to build a family.
5. I also want to say, he has children who has schooled abroad and are managing different part of his business (but he has his details with the US Embassy and em children still small).
6. What I submitted for my I-20 was full sponsorship from his accont. Can I add (during the interview) that I will be supporting with my personal savings (maybe 10m) and give them a bank statement. (I hope it will not contradict my I-20, and I hope the money is enough sha). Since I cannot change my I-20
7. I want to add that the uncle is a software developer and sells accounting and management softwares to large firms.
8. This means I will have to change my Ds_160 and change some things on my LinkedIn in profile.
9. Please note that, there is a .minimum I can lie about my present place of work. If you just type my name on Google bayi, na my work place go first appear.
10. I want to increase my monthly income to 200k or 250k so it reflect my savings.

11.See ehn bro, I read and still reading the transcripts of nairaland (although far back as 2016 and 2017) and some people were given visa based on full sponsorship from their uncle or aunt. I don't know why this group wey I join just dey confuse me.

Hey 🤠

1. Terminate your membership of that group ASAP. That is the kind of groups that have failed and misled lots of applicants in Nigeria and on Nairaland.

2. Their aims are to cajole applicants into applying to some particular schools in the USA (where they usually have their own profits as the representative agents in Nigeria ).

3. Another worst reality is that most of those sham scholarships written on your Form I 20s are not accessible when you finally land in USA. They (the schools will come out with impossible conditions for you before you can access it).

4. USA embassies knows those schools and they have them on files. Therefore , run away from anyone mandating you to apply into some set of schools all because of scholarships.

5. You don't need scholarship or funds as a visa determinant if your sponsor is 100% financially capable to support or cover your expenses

6.The only kind of student who must fight for at least 65% of fundings are Phd students.

7. Pls don't misunderstand my opinions . Scholarships and funds gives the consular the impression that you are an outstanding student but it is not a VISA determining factor for Bsc & Msc students if their sponsors are more than capable to fund their education.

8.My friend go ahead. You seems to know what you are doing. Your academic with job profiles are better.

9. Quoting you, I am in a WhatsApp group that makes it sound very impossible to get a visa with full sponsorship. They say you have to get funding or support with your personal funds.

Not true !
They want to introduce counterfeit bank statements to you Or fake scholarships from their allied schools.

Good evening all,
Please I want to ask some questions with respect to US Visa application for B1/B2 type.

1. If I apply for visa application next week, is it possible to get closer date like December 2024?
2. Also, as a fresh applicant, can I apply now and wait for closest interview appointment date?
3. Is it compulsory to book for flight before Visa interview date or leave it blank on their site.

Thank you for your help in anticipation.

Hey 🤠

1. Yes it is possible to get closer date like December 2024 but you must request for that appointment under Business or Medical Emergency.

2. Yes you can apply now and keep waiting for closest interview appointment date (as a 1st timer ) via reschedule option but you may wait till next year. Your last resort is very likely to be the emergency application.

3. It is not compulsory to book for flight before your interview. You may however input your travel itinerary as well as airline name (still optional).

Tamison:
Good evening everyone.
Please I need clarification on US Visa interview waiver. The website says one is eligible if a visa expired 48 months ago or in the next 3 months. Now, my mom's visa expires on the 31st of July, I just got a drop-off date of July 1 in Abuja. On the confirmation print out, it only says visas expired not more than 48 months ago and not the 3 months. Do you think there will be an issue with the renewal because of this? We usually use Lagos but I went with Abuja this time because of availability of dates. Has anyone successfully renewed in Abuja using the interview waiver? Does it really take 2 months? I hope to hear from someone soon.
Thank you.

Hey 🤠

* USA embassy does not joke with timeline because they have lot and lot of applicants to attend to.

* Your mom's visa has not expired, hence she is not qualify for the 48 months and she should have waited till 31st of May before she attempted to renew, hence she is not yet qualify to renew b4 3-months of visa expiration as well.

* With your drop-off date of July 1st in Abuja, Mama has shortchanged the USA embassy 2 weeks and few days of their work- time.

* There wont be much issue because the USA embassy understands that most applicants does not really know how to calculate those timeline.

* No one can determine the timeframe for the re-issue but i have the 75% inclination that Mama might receive 221g. This should be your worry.

1. Most important is Mama's travel history to the USA. When did she last travel to America ? Is it within the last 3- months of her VISA expiration? If the answer is yes then she has good chances of straight renewal.

2. If Mama's travel history is not consistent to the USA ie, Mama got 5 yrs B1/B2 multiple entry and the last time she travelled to the USA is 3 years ago, then her VISA renewal might call for 221g slip. Some people might dispute this.

3. In the above scenario, the embassy may want to recapture Mama's biometric once again, then in the form (221g) it will be tick marked and she can reappear at the embassy according to instructions.

4. But If they want a fresh interview for Mama, then also the 221g form will be issued with a tick mark in the interview option. However, this is a tricky and red zone situation.

Hey 🤠

1. If you are genuine you would not have read some people accusing me in the public that i am the one behind your moniker and keep quiet.

2. Why did you not reprimand @Danburuwa or try to exonerate yourself of being the original creator of your moniker ? Why are you just responding after doubting your genuineness?

3. The email you provided is fake . I don't want to speak with you. You guys are jesters .

How can you be replying yourself?

Creating too many accounts to ask yourself questions and reply yourself is the height of the madness.

No one will contact you this scammer agent that doesn't have any other work apart from looking for people to scam on Nairaland.

The end to your activities is near.

I still blame justwise for still leaving you here to deceive people.

🤠

@fearlessfang, @Danburuwa, @Zihno

1. You guys are the ones displaying madness by creating different kinds of monikers to troll yourselves here.

2. I just got the clue that you guys re the one behind the moniker of @FabricsbyBolaji.

3. I have more than 20 emails from Nairaland and outsides that i have not responded to. And for your information i have more than 25 different visa applicants (both home and abroad) that i am presently working with.

4. You are all fools. Let's assume that you even succeeded in removing me from Nairaland can you remove me from Facebook and other social media platforms, and can you remove me from Nigeria ? 🤠

5. I would have screenshot more than 17 visa pages (year 2024 alone) here but for privacy and against advertisement policy.

6. @Danburuwa is a ghost that is not existing , therfore @fearlessfang and @Zihno stop striving after the wind

7. Nairaland is my training ground where i'm putting what i am learning into use . For your information i am also officially registered on other platforms which i won't mention here ( where i deal with Chinese and Indian visa hopefuls ).

Repent. Jesus loves You.

Good afternoon everyone, can someone who was recently denied apply again immediately, my school will be resuming 26th of august.
First attempt question: Denied
VO: what are you going to do in the Us
Me: I’m going to pursue a masters in business administration
VO: who is your sponsor
Me: I’ll be sponsoring myself from my 6years of work ( i iwork as an HR and i also have a side business(i explained what i do in details) and mum will also be supporting me( she is a fabric merchant who imports cloths from china, Vietnam etc and i gave more details)
VO: what do you do presently
Me: i Work as a professional Human Resources Manager
VO: how much do you earn monthly plus your business income
Me: i said 900
VO: sorry you cant be blaahhh.. kindly reapply.
I was denied under section 214(b), what did i say wrong.. i really want to get better with answering questions
I wrote a letter to my school concerning the refusal and my school approved they will send me supporting letter so i that give the US embassy officer on my next visa interview.
Can anyone answer what i can do at this point, should i repply now., my visa was denied on Wednesday. Thank you. Looking for to @OyotunjiUsa repond.

Hey 🤠

1. That consular who interviewed you is more or less a human resources manager (in the area of interviewing) and he or she might wonder your salary of 900k in a larger organisation, but if you are a human resources manager at OyotunjiUSA Blocks Industry then that 900k salary might be justified .

2. I am even thinking that why not opt for STEM-MBA instead of Msc in Business Admin ? Your current job as a professional human resources manager (Google it) is galloping away from commonplace business ideas .

3. Nigeria academic standards and curriculum is well respected worldwide, therefore why not (consular thinking) do your Msc in Business Admin at Covenant University ? UniLaG, Unilorin, UNN, Yabtech or Abti-American University in Yola ?

4. Your employer should have even supported or sponsored your academic sojourn instead of combining yourself with your mom. Or why leaving an average paid job quickly without rising to a good position before deciding to go and study in the USA (perhaps) with insufficient funds ?

5. Even with your mom's profile (as narrated by you) , she is supposed to be capable financially to sponsor your education hence, the consular thinks you are not being honest in your application stories .

6. Quoting you she (your mom) is a fabric merchant who imports cloths from china, Vietnam etc and i gave more details...

** I can arrive to the conclusion that you communicated with the consular as an applicant who has memorized the answers ahead of time .

7. I am still laughing 😂 quoting you thus ;

I wrote a letter to my school concerning the refusal and my school approved they will send me supporting letter so that i can give the USA embassy officer on my next visa interview.

8. If you are talking of a letter that will allow you to resume late to school as a result of your inability to secure another Form I-20 or appointment date, then that is understandable. but refering to a help letter to influence embassy decision " Don't even think about it.

9. Re-application immediately makes you a kind of financially buoyant , a serious and determined student , gives you opportunity to cement (may be the 1st consular was wrong) embassy decision etc which i usually recommend.

10. But to you, why not defer to Spring 2025 and if possible chose another program of study ? You have many lapses to correct . But if you are determined you may go ahead .

Hello all,
I have never travelled before. Someone (a family friend) in US wants to give me an invitation to come over, he outrightly told me that inviting me is not a problem. That's it's me convincing them at the Embassy to give me Visa that's the challenge. I am married, a father of 4, under 40. I have been working since Nov 2014. I intend going alone first, and honestly I would want to stay over and look for a better job there. I have M.Eng.

How do I go about this using the Visitors route via our family friend(he's up 60+, and lives with his family).
I want to really give it a try. What chances do I have?

I am so sorry if my enquiry is awkward please. Just advise me

Hey 🤠

1. Don't mind your friend in America. He may have a good heart but the probability of embassy giving you visa based on a friend (even your family) invitation letter is 10% over 100.

2. If he is about to do wedding, naming ceremony or inviting you on joint-business sight seeing then the visa probability might move upward .

3. You have a good family-tie in Nigeria and with M.Eng you are a better educated Nigerian.

4. Look out for a good conference in your area of career and apply to . OR short academic programs in the USA then talk to your friend to support you financially.

5. Abadon that letter of invitation route and work out on the number 4 above. Don't even mention in your USA visa applications that you know/have a friend in the USA . Only mention family member (s) who entered America legally and remain in the USA legally.

Hi pls i need guidance. I applied for an Msc in Financial Economics, used an uncle as sponsor. Please I need a good way to defend this as I am open to correcting my DS 160 too. Help.

Hey 🤠

A2A.

1. You only wrote here that you applied for an Msc , then you used uncle as your sponsor and then ? There is nothing bad in applying for an Msc or using uncle as sponsor .

2. If your visa has been denied before , or you think you have mixed up somethings in your applications then those situation is what you should tell us.

3. Any good observer must review your DS -160 , program of study , your work history , marital status, age, visa histories etc before giving you the best opinion .

4. If you cannot state it here you may check my sign on profile .

Kindly advise!!!

I and my wife are both in US, doing our PhD. She is having a high risk pregnancy. We are trying to get my mom to join weeks before delivery. (We started our adjustment of status for green card, mine was approved and my wife is still awaiting decision). Mom’s de-160 was filled that we are both on F1 then.

The earliest date we secured for her appointment is Next year May. Our plan is to have her in around September. We have all pregnancy records and letter from the gynecologist attesting to the high risk pregnancy.

We are trying to secure a closer date, what other documents do we need, what content should be in write up… what advice would you give?

Thanks.

Hey 🤠

1. Your mom should be fine with securing a Medical Emergency Appointment under B2 and eventually secure her visa if everything is placed in order .

2. If your gynecologist could affirm to the High-risk pregnancy of your wife with (via official clinic letter ) a written evidence , then try to seek the main hospital or clinic to affirm to the same and let them address the letters to the USA embassy in Lagos /Abuja.

3. You should find your way to talk to the gynaecologist and the hospital to make the letter a stronger and convincing one and align the contents to your advantages .

4. You will also write a personal letter (addressed to the USA consulate but inviting your mother ) explaining the scenario in brief and let the letter indicates that you do not trust external care giver to handle your wife's situation....etc

5. Combine those letters with your school identifications , I 20s etc and send to your mother via electronic mail. She will use it to apply for Medical Emergency under B2.

6. On the day of Mama's interview, teach her to be very emotional and even cry in the presence of the consular that she (your mom) doesn't want her daughter in law and her 1st grand kid to die .

7. Forget about your ongoing adjustment of status for green card. You are both legal in the USA and as a prospective professors , you (and your wife) are resources to America.

Hey 🤠

@soprano008.

** Pls don't contact that responder @oluezekiel . He will eventually defraud you . His modus operandi is to always be or have been in your position (of help) before and he is always in AMERICA doing fake PhD.

** Okay did he answer your initial questions in his story ? Below is your major question and concern ;

We are trying to secure a closer date, what other documents do we need, what content should be in write up… what advice would you give?

** Also quoting @oluezekiel, he wrote that ;

My mom mentioned that the VO even googled my name on my school website to be sure. They both got their visa.

1. @soprano008. How did his aged mother knew that the consular Googled his name ? Did the consular turned their computer to his mother ?

2. Google cannot even bring up your name except if you are a world criminal , celebrities or very important personalities etc. What the consular can usually do is to login into your Host-University portal for verification.

3. I have attached some of his past dubious conversations in this message, right from the years he was scamming people as Access bank agent. He is always in the position of everyone seeking help or he knows a friend or family who has done it before .

4. Run away from any one who starts conversations with his or her own story (bragging). Someone can be in Maiduguri -Nigeria and have higher USA visa knowledge than someone with expired visa living in a borrowed apartment in Washington DC.
