Money rituals to me are pure fantasies. Though one cannot deny the existence of spiritual powers, the money ritual thing makes no sense.

To me, what I think is money rituals is; someone visiting a spiritualist to have himself cleansed against dirts, ill lucks, or some other misfortunes that are militating against their progress.
Many aren't at peace with their chi_their personal god. Such people are likely going to suffer until certain things are done to make things right.

I usually just browse Nairaland without logging in, but I feel compelled to address the issue regarding Oyetunji Abi Wetin be hin ñame. He has been spreading misinformation that makes people doubt themselves. For instance, someone recently asked if they could apply to school while waiting for their final results, and he incorrectly told her she couldn’t. I did the same thing and was able to apply using my transcripts from years one to four and then submitted my final grades later. It is indeed possible. Instead of discouraging others from pursuing their dreams, it would be more helpful to refer them to the school's website or suggest they contact the graduate coordinator if you're unsure about an answer. No one needs to have all the answers. Thank you.

I have a close relative who’s scheduled for interview in a few weeks from now on the B1/B2 visa application.
Here’s the question:
1. Person inviting him is a citizen (served the USA govt and retired) hence the paychecks is wats submitted as POF.
But does this relative here still need to submit bank statement as POF? He runs a family business and is a co-signatory to the account(not a salary job)
2. Wat stronger ties can he go along with aside from Land document to show that he’s not gonna overstay?
3. Does he need to go wit medical fitness result? Police character ?
4. Is it expedient to book a round trip flight ahead of the interview date to show you have no plans to overstay?

I’ll like to read responses pls

Oh yes, I live in America and, I went there in January of 2022 for my PhD after completing my MS in Moscow, Russia in June of 2021 and waiting for the US embassy to finish processing my visa application for about 4 months because my course of study in Russia falls under the TAL list (which I doubt you know about because you are just a bloody agent). It is not a crime to be a student and keep renewing your visa until you are done with school (PhD or whatever) and find a job that will help you with adjustment of status (H1B etc).

I didnt even post that I was trying to renew my visa because I am not, you dont even know me and you are just assuming, you dont even know if I have an approval for my EB1 or EB2 NIW or whatever, because again you are just a BLOODY AGENT and nobody in your family has done a PhD before. Yes, when I have my own child I will ask him to choose graduate school scholarship in the US/UK/CANADA over any state scholarship in Nigeria, even the Federal government scholarships because I did the same myself. I abandoned a state sponsored MS scholarship in Nigeria to go to Russia and it turned out to be my best decision ever, when you have your own child, tell him to go do PhD in University of Maiduguri.

I doubt you know how many BEA scholars are lamenting because your federal goverment refused to pay their allowances. Again you wont know because you are just a BLOODY AGENT.

You can contact the embassy before the aformentioned time and nothing will happen. They will only reply with generic email most of the time or if they need extra thing they will tell you. I was on administrative processing for about 3-4months when I tried to get my F1 visa in 2021. And I contacted them from time to time. They sometimes replied with generic emails, other times they ask for extra information. I finally got my visa

You’ve shared both phone numbers and emails on this platform, and I, along with others, have tried calling and emailing. I never said the contact information was wrong or that anyone should be cautious of you.

Don’t let the "thank yous" get to your head. If it’s a waiting game, I still have the right to update on my progress and ask others if they're facing similar issues.

Someone mentioned their issue has been pending since August, and mine is approaching one month with no progress. Let’s be mindful of our words and show empathy in our responses. If you have the answer, just provide it without belittling others.

Hello, my mum’s visa has been issued but I am a bit confused about the pickup.

I saw from here that I need to register on OIS and I have done that. I got a message on the page when I tried to book an appointment for collection that the passport is ready so I picked premium delivery at DHL Ibadan and chose an appointment time for today but I haven’t got any notification about payment and since selecting DHL, it now says that passport is not yet ready for pick up and the tracking number that was generated has not been working as it says invalid.

I am not sure what to do now as the appointment is today and the passport is not yet ready and I have also not been asked to pay. Can anyone please help with next steps?

Like I have been crying here every day, I am still unable to book an appointment after making payment via EFT since the 20th of September 2024.

I have called customer care every day since this terrible thing happened, Created 11 ticked and 3 is on hold.

I called today and I was given the US embassy number in Lagos to call them and ask for an appointment - 08014603400. The number doesn't go through. If anyone has had this problem and resolved it please let me know how you went about it. Mine is 3 weeks and counting

Hello all,

Please can someone help- so my mom’s interview was initially Aug 13th 2024 and then I was able to get a more recent in May, few weeks to the interview in May we were sent an email to reschedule to November 5th. The problem now is that I forgot to print her invitation letter before the old site went away, on the new site I can see that she has an appointment but no date and time on the letter. Is there a way I can get the appointment letter from the old site? As we don’t know what
time she should appear at the consulate for her interview.
Also we still have her old MVR payment receipt from GTB as she had applied for interview waiver but she was returned with the 221g and the earliest date we got was this year
Pls I hope this will not cause any issue? Can anyone help? If you have been in this situation before
