Alakoriomo: Hey ๐ค 1. While you are waiting for the embassy's response. Merge your MRV payment receipt, SEVIS payment confirmation, and your I 20 bio data together and email to the embassy from your portal via FeedBack option . Explain to them your need for another appointment. 2. Naturally, you are supposed to wait for some time as a 2nd timer before you can be granted another appointment slot but that is not always the rule of the game . Population of current appointment seekers also matters . Best Wishes ๐ |

Kenny4smart: Hey ๐ค 1. If you are a Nigerian presently studying in the UK without any relative or jobs or residency status which tie you to the UK upon graduation, then i will support you stake the gamble . But the only B1/B2 visa i will recommend you to apply for is the one that will have the support or coordination of your present institution (ie education tours , academic seminars , exchange programs etc) which will guarantee your visa success 75%. 2. By that , your present studentship In the UK will stand as your tie to the UK because USA consular will concludes that a reasonable student won't abscond to the USA or stay behind when he or she has only 1 year left to bag his or her certificate . 3. Yes , if you finally got the B1/B2 you can change to F1 status if you follow the policies and procedures . 4. If you wait till after your graduation in the UK before you apply for Msc / Phd , its still 50/50 chances . You will still have to proof ties to the UK and proof financial ability with no immigrant intent before your F1 visa can be granted. 5. If you cannot proof ties to the UK then you will have to return to Nigeria and apply for your F1 visa (perhaps you should be able to proof some ties in your fatherland). 6. Alternatively, you can transfer your credits from your present institution in the UK to an accredited institution in the USA (complex process though) and many UK universities have an exchange scheme with some USA universities (explore these options ). If your daughter gained admission into University of Nigeria (UNN) as a 100 level fresher, she is expected to stay on campus (hostel) naturally. 3. Xplicit007: Hey ๐ค 1 B- 1 is a visitor for business , and B- 2 is a visitor for pleasure, but they can issue the combinations of both for you (especially when you are applying on behalf of a company or an organisation) in order for you to be able to juggle the visa types , eg if your employer is sending you on conference or seminar, you will use B-1 and during the holiday if you want to visit , you will use B-2. 2. In your case , mark yes , you have been refused under the same visa type before . Honesty is the best policy , it won't affect your present visa process if you qualify for it . 3. Yes , you will possibly be given B1/B2 5 yrs multiple entry , especially if your employer or an organisation is sending you to represent them. Best Wishes ๐ |

aposon07: Hey ๐ค *** All hope is not lost because rejection under 221g is a temporary refusal, and the probability of your application being completely rejected based solely on section 221(g) are not very high. 1. I want to think that you kind of pointed out one of the consular reasons for your temporary F1 refusal in your last paragraph. You have a good job and good educational history . Why opting for another academic sojourn in the United States ? 2. You are doing well in Ghana and went for conference in the USA ( I want to think your present job was used as one of your ties to Ghana) , and all of a sudden you processed Law admissions in the USA while you are coming from a business background. 3. Is your present job in Ghana related to Law practising ? Are the schools which gave you the Form I 20s accredited enough ? Are they private institutions which gave unauthorized I 20s ? I want to think those ' re the reasons the embassy retained your Form I 20 for further verification. 4. Okay, let's agree you passed the above marks. Why is your present employer not standing as your sponsor ? The USA consulars knows the easiest USA visa types towards Permanent Residency (F1 visa one of the top rated) and hence, the consular might deduced that your academic intention is not genuine. It might be based on your plan to work towards USA PR which your present B1/B2 can't facilitate for you. 5. You kinda overstayed your B1/B2 visa once . Be ready to explain that. Best Wishes ๐ |

Go away with your fake visa transcripts. It doesn't work for me . I have never flex muscle of travel histories. Its not a criterion for becoming a USA visa advisor or counselor. 3. I have worked as an apprentice under 3 different USA Visa Attorneys . I am still learning (correspondence program) Educational Psychology/Guidance and Counselling. I have worked personally as a travel agent (based on USA visa only) with offices for more than 15 years before i gave it up. 4. I am now an International Admission & Visa Consultant (Based on USA visa types alone). I am also a registered apprentice under a USA based Immigration Attorney. ** My plan is to become an American Immigration Attorney when i finally relocated . 5. fearlessfang: Hey ๐ค **@fearlessfang 1. I don't even know if the authority on Nairaland are in support of your anomaly. You are cursing and saying derogatory words against the country of your birth (Nigeria ) openly . Do you know the population of (international) people who visit Nairaland everyday ? 2. I have never seen you said any good thing about Nigeria and you constantly discourage people to avoid Nigeria and comparing Nigeria to Haiti, or a hell. Are you not a Dan Iska Nigerian ? And you want to prosper in this same Nigeria by bringing the fruit of USA home ? 3. Typical Black Americans and Whites respects Nigerian Blacks , Ghanaian Black's ,Senegalese , Black's, Cameroonian Black's etc more than the typical American Black's because of the reasons i won't mention here . They calls us African American. You have not achieve anything in your life sir and if you sell the glory of your birth land you will regret it for the rest of your life . 3. Your time of dictatorship is up. Your fear is that every new person keep knowing the truth everyday. Your old ideas is now outdated and misleading . Best Wishes ๐ |

Excellence100: Hey ๐ค @Excellence100. 1. Why are you just posting your visa transcript today ? So you have quickly process phd admission, got your visa and post it in order to support lies . 2. Bsc , Msc & PhD in visa juxtaposing , Phd will definitely take the lion share. A Nigerian with a visiting visa to Australia may have his PhD F1 granted based on the fact that PhD applicants are naturally academic resources to any countries and especially if the applicant is a genius. 3. Generally , A Nigerian who went to Australia for conference and who does not know any one and doesn't have a house or family in Australia except his hotel room , tell me if he goes for F1 or B1/B2 at the USA embassy in Australia from his hotel room that his visa will be granted ? 4. If a Nigerian got a USA visa from any country other than Nigeria his or her country of birth , then he or she has a tie to that country. OR his or her previous visa , perhaps his or her DS 160 information makes him or her a genuine visa candidate . 5. I don't believe in visa transcripts because i can form different visa success transcripts myself and post it on Nairaland . I only believe the scanned copy of the visa i see . Best Wishes ๐ |

liliberth: Hey ๐ค *** USA visa is not a piece of cake. *** It is not a respecter of any person *** It's not a respecter of your location . *** It's a chameleon (u can't understand it). 1. Regardless of your current visitor's visa, you still have to qualify (just like a person who has not gotten any US visa b4) for your F1 visa to be granted. 2. While applying for your F1 visa, your current B1/B2 visa can even be revoked with prejudice (* you cannot apply for any visa and if you do, it will automatically be rejected) if your records shows abuse of your current B1/B2 visa. 3. You may even apply for change of status from B1/B2 to F1 filed on the Form I-539 but that means the only way you can enter the USA is by lying to the CBP officer at the port of entry , so it's highly inadvisable to pull this stunt. 4. Don't listen to anyone saying since you are in the UK and you have B1/B2 visa already , therefore it would be easier. Such people actually don't understand the nuances of USA visa types and the highly experienced consulars who are well trained to understand visa conspiracies. 5. If we start UK /USA visa opinion polls on Nairaland today , you will be marveled to see the population of Nigerians who have being finding it difficult to enter the USA from the UK, even from Canada and Australia. 6. Follow all the rules and policies of F1 visa and be certain that you meet the conditions. 7. USA Consulars hates with passion the attitude of its my right , or over-confidence or i am different to others in visa applicants . 8. In order to stop the spread of such beliefs , your visa can be denied even if you are 100% qualified but with such hallmarks . Best Wishes ๐ค |

Many travel agents will bring jobs to me after collecting millions and failed their apllicants and you expect me to do it free of charge ? 4. How much data or compensation has Nairaland authorities given me ? I use money to source for my information and I dedicate time to understand it before posting it to the public . 5. If you contact me for help or assistant outside Nairaland I will ask you for financial compensation. THAT IS JUST THE TRUTH. linsa01: Hey ๐ค 1. Even if you travel to Canada or Australia (automatic change of ips which is 98% beter than VPN) in order to fill your DS 160 , you will still face the same issue (as a first timer or occasional applicant). 2. Filling of DS 1-60 is one of the biggest frustrations of Applying for USA visas because its security oriented and it has a time-out session which does not give you enough time to think. 3. Try get a DS 160 questionnaire. Fill everything and print it out. Then place it near your computer and start filling the online Form. By this, you won't have to think about what and what you want to type. Use Mozillar Firefox if possible . VPN is not the solution but your own die hard behavior to have the form filled out . 4. DS - 160 is of utmost important . Infact , it speaks for you 75% on the day of your interview . If on the day of your interview you develop a tooth problem and unable to speak, the consular might just open your DS 160, flip through it and approve your visa. Best Wishes ๐ 1 Like |

jredlom: Hey ๐ค 1. Forget about job listings first . Why are you going to South Africa for your B1/B2 visa interview ? If you however have a South Africa Residency paper , then that case is settled a bit . 2. Reason is that as a Ghanaian, the bast place to secure a USA visa is from your country of origin because that is the natural place you can proof ties (what will make you remember to return back to Ghana) ie families , businesses , employment, properties , future ambition in Ghana, etc. 3. You did well in listing only your employer details and i also do hope the conference you are going to attend is aligned towards your present company (employer) ? You can tell the consular verbally your other jobs and skills . 4. As a single without a child, your best tie (naturally) is your present employer with the notion that you will return to work after the conference. Your 2nd best tie is your families. Having businesses or investments in Ghana are not good ties because you can run those businesses outside Ghana. But if you own like 75% share at MTN GHANA or other larger organisations, by that the embassy can accept it as a better tie. 5. Stop all your worries above . Focus on proving ties to Ghana . You will also have difficulty in proving Ghana ties in (at the USA embassy) South Africa because you are not a South African. Best Wishes ๐ |

Cath1234: Hey ๐ค *** Your faith in getting an F1 visa is like the faith of a Canadian (citizen). The only different is that YOU NEED AN F1 visa because you are not a citizen yet. 1. You must proof ties to Canada. 2. You must give a reasonable post-study plans . 3. You must show ability to pay your school fees and other miscellaneous expenses . 4. You must be ready to answer : Why this particular institution? Why Nursing ? Are there no institution in Canada that offers same quality nursing programs? 5. If you have lived up to 3 years in Canada, then you may have a better ride , but if you have just landed in Canada , then you should be ready for battle of communication with the consular. 6. USA & CANADA are like Coca Cola & Pepsi ( almost 95% of anything you can get in the USA is also obtainable in Canada or from Canada) . 7. You have to give a convincing reasons to get your visa . Yemmymo: Hey ๐ค 1. No ! You have to proof ties to the present location . For example , if a Ghanaian is applying for a US visa in Nigeria , he or she will proof ties to Nigeria , Not Ghana . If he or she cannot proof ties to Nigeria , then he or she should go to Ghana and seek for the visa . 2. Unfortunately, you are the Primary applicant (the School in the USA knows you , not your husband), therefore, the embassy is dealing with you , not your husband . Your husband cannot proof the tie for you . 3. It would have been a little better and hopeful if you have applied alone and use your husband who works in your present location as a tie (it's still a bad tie, because your husband can move anytime as he is not a citizen), but you have worsen the case by applying together . 4. You are applying with your tie ๐ So what tie will both of you leave behind in your present location ? Your kids or job ? 5. Well just put all your efforts and be positive. If unexpected expenses happens during your studentship , will you take a loan to cover it ? 7. Securing full scholarships or fundings is not compulsory for MBA applicants because its a Personal Aggrandizement course , except if an organisation is sending you overseas for it. What is compulsory is genuine admission and how you intend to fund your education. Advice ====== 8. Merge your resources together and name your spouse (husband) as your main sponsor .
