I'm speaking from experience. He can get the visa from France, just apply alone after few months and demonstrate socio-economic ties.

hunee:
The visa will likely be rejected again
What they can do is to resolve the issue of the denial with a remorseful appeal sent to nantes, france await the outcome of the appeal before reapplying to france.
Or wait for some time , gather more documents and reapply.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 6:58pm On Apr 23, 2025
He should apply to France again, applying to other countries will appear as visa shopping.

Desmondola2020:
Hi guys ,

My brother France visa was denied along side his wife” there’s reasonable doubt that you will not leave France blah blah. He has been to the uk and France before. Never over stayed. But this time he applied to go to France with his wife who has also been to the uk before. All documents were good. He was denied 3 weeks ago. Now he wants to reapply, is it safe to apply to same France or he should other Schengen countries , if yes, can you suggest ? Maybe Spain, Belgium or Italy ! Thank you

TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 9:22pm On Apr 15, 2025
Your last Schengen visa is over 5 years. Select "no", then proceed with the booking process.

Print a coloured copy of your previous Schengen visa, take it along with your other supporting documents for your appointment. Ensure you inform the TLS rep that you've been issued a Schengen visa before and if you used the visa he will grade you as a Frequent Flyer. This enhances the possible approval of your application

sirrotex:
Good afternoon guys, please I need some clarification on filing the tls appointment booking form. I had a Schengen visa in 2015. There is a question asking if you have ever been issued a Schengen visa which I answered yes to, then another question about whether my fingerprint has previously been taken which I also answered yes to, then the last part which requires me to input the visa number and the validity is where I am having a problem. I input the validity which is from October 2015 and I get the response that the validity cannot be below 59 months. What can I do in the circumstances please?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 1:39pm On Apr 14, 2025
Yes you can.

Jane111:
Good afternoon house, hope you all are doing great? Pls can I book another hotel different from the one on the application form?

Thank you in advance.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 4:12pm On Mar 02, 2025
On your next application, make a reservation to go see at least 2 monuments ( e.g Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel towel etc) and add a museum visit as well. That gives a better tourist vibe to your application. For your accommodation, use a reputable site like Booking or Expedia (if you didn't use these for your first application)

Apart from your cover letter, also write a concise Travel Itinerary detailing your daily activity starting from the day you depart UK to FR, ending the last day with your checkout from hotel and flight return from FR back to the UK. One page should suffice. The daily activity and date on that travel itinerary should correspond with the date on your tour reservations.

Horlamidei:
No have never travelled out of Uk before and below are the documents I submitted;

* Cover letter for the 7days I will be spending as it all falls on the Easter weekend
* 3to 4months pay slips
* work leave(holiday) confirmation letter
* letter from manager confirming am an employee
* 3-4months payslips
* 3-4 months bank statement containing £7,800 but printed it out as each month each as my bank claims they can’t print out the whole thing at once even if I come back
* printed my hotel reservation
* flight reserve to and fro ticket. Na my friend book am from Ghana as per agent
* booked 3 separate tours attraction tickets of 3different days as one is bus ride and one other is boat ride
*health insurance
* printed my share code and my immigration

That’s all I can remember for now as am still processing my refusal huh

Simply use a logistics company. It's weird asking strangers to carry food items for you.

Obiany:
Hello,

I know this is off topic. Looking for a kind hearted person (If the Lord touches your heart) that would help me in getting some food items to France, I can send you the money to get them or my mom can get and send to you if you are in Lagos. I seriously need these foods items. I can pay for your stress, thanks

Someone coming this month or next month latest. Thanks
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ozeggy:
You can request for a portfolio valuation/investment letter from Bamboo and Rise. Upload these letters alongside your bank statement as financial evidence

tayolydia:
Hello house. I've gone through the recent posts on the thread and can't find a case peculiar to mine. So please can you advice on how to go about my application:

- I'm employed by an European country but I opted to become a contractor because Deel exchange rates were really low. I was losing like half of my salary because they were using bank rate then.
- To be signed as a contractor, I had to register a company which I did. But I haven't even done anything via the company. I have been to the Schengen region 3x (France, Denmark & Spain have issues me visa) and I have never used the company details I registered. My company always wrote a letter of introduction stating I am employed as a contractor. Do you suggest I stick to the company invite and select 'employed' when completing the form?
- My Company pays me in Euros and thr amount I get each month isn't consistent because of exchange rate. So I don't really know how to answer how much you earn monthly question.
- Still on salary, I'd normally exchange half of my salary to naira to cater for my monthly expenses and just send the rest to Rise ($ wallet), or Bamboo (stock investment) or Piggyvest (naira if I have excess spill over from exchange rate). How do I explain why I am not moving all my salary into that one account I use?
- I also try not to put too much money in my naira account so I don't spend any how. The amount I exchange is usually just the exact that covers my monthly expenses or maybe surplus by 500k. Won't the Visa officer think I don't have enough money to cover the trip?

Thank you as your share your thoughts

I suggest you apply alone first, your wife and son can apply later. Or your wife alone first, then you and your son subsequently.

Manmann:
the purpose is to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Paris.

For context, we applied with our child last October for 10days and was denied. It was our first family vacation but I have travel history and they don't. Last December we went to southafrica for Christmas. Now we are about to reapply but this time just me and my wife. I needed advice if they consider 5days short . @Ozeggy davodyguy
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 5:37pm On Jan 18, 2025
5 days is fine. My intended stay was 5 days for my last application. It was successful.

Manmann:
Hello everyone... please expirenced travelers,I need guidance. I intend to visit france with my wife for 5days. Is 5days okay or too short for first timers. Thanks

For bank statement, submit the original copy stamped by your bank. You can make and submit coloured photocopies of other supporting docs.

Foxie:
Hello everyone,
Please when submitting supporting docs, like doc to show landed properties do I have to make a photocopy or showing just the original suffices?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 8:48pm On Dec 04, 2024
You could be denied entry at the port of entry if you don't have it.

GodGraceOnly:
Hello house, please for those that have traveled before, do I need my travel insurance to board flight?

Will the airline ask for it because Mine has expired 2 days ago though I’m traveling next week for just one week. I’d wish to know maybe I’d make another travel insurance before traveling so that the airline wouldn’t stop me from boarding.

Thanks.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy:
You can make reservations on Travelbeta or KLM website. Select option to pay at the bank. The reservation/confirmation is sufficient for your application

knightingale:
Hi everyone, good evening. My appointment is next week. I need guidance on how to make flight reservation without payment. I have made hotel reservations but all the flight reservations I tried wanted me to pay within 24 hours and they boldly included what they sent to me isn’t for visa application. Kindly guide me. Thank you

Not at all.

IfeNimi:
Hello everyone.
Has anyone had issues taking antibiotics or any other medications (not controlled drugs) at the UK Border?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ozeggy: 4:11pm On May 29, 2024
They do ask for accommodation/hotel reservation. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Cashmadam:
Don't stress yourself. Get the visa and buy your ticket. It is rare for anyone to ask for your hotel booking at the UK border. However, you can be asked for your return ticket. They know you will not sleep at the airport - you must sleep somewhere so they really don't bother much about that.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 12:30pm On May 28, 2024
I think it depends on the bank. You may try Stanbic IBTC USD Mastercard.

Zoey1:
Thanks.
Dont understand why the USD didn’t work.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 11:05am On May 22, 2024
I used USD Mastercard in April on Viator and it worked.

Zoey1:
Hello,
Please is there anyone who had booked online tours from Viators, Getyourguide.. They aren’t accepting the Mastercards I used both USD and Naira.
What cards did anyone who had done before used?
Thank you.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ozeggy: 11:46am On May 12, 2024
1) £1
2) N1

mamawa123:
I am filling out visitor visa applications for a mother and daughter. The estimated travel expenses for the two of them, including tickets and hotel, are about $2000. They are going for 7 days.

Please, how do I answer these questions for the daughter, who is less than 4 years old?

1. How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? I don’t know how to answer this. Should I put the plane ticket alone or what? I estimate the plane ticket for the daughter to be $550.

2. What is the total amount you spend each month? Should I put zero for her.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 12:56pm On May 07, 2024
True, my application was processed in 5 working days.

esdajo:
Tourist actually....would be 3 weeks by Friday and I am supposed to travel in less than 3 weeks from now. Thought it used to be a week before after submission?
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 6:06pm On May 05, 2024
You can't modify after submission, you'd have to create another form with your intended changes. They could grant a visa for either of those options, depends on how strong the application is and if one has traveled before.

Preshy2004:
Change of arrival date pls how do I modify on my form which has been submitted. Do they give you visa exact date you intend to travel or it can be given with allowances to reflect your travel date
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ozeggy: 8:39pm On Apr 20, 2024

sanyaolurilwan:

I went to this office this morning, bros the security men said there's nothing like vip óò, I waited asking asking, them decline patapata.

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ozeggy: 1:17pm On Oct 01, 2023
6 months bank statement is actually not a prerequisite. You can select a date after the bulk amount transaction.

Timmycarter:
Good day everyone. I have my plab 2 exam in April next year and have been worried regarding the visa application. I plan on using my account but I sent a bulk amount yesterday to the account. Considering I'd be needing a 6 months bank statement which will most likely reflect the transfer is it still advisable to use my account and when/around what time can I start the visa process? Or should I get a sponsor and does it matter if the sponsor doesn't bear the same name with me?

Thank you.

You're exempted from the transit visa requirement because you have a valid US visa.

lawrins:
Good Afternoon. Please I want to ask a question. If someone is coming from Manchester, UK to Lagos and has a valid US and Canada visa and residing in UK is getting a transit visa necessary if flying through schengen like KLM and Air France? Thank you.
