Faleke is testing the wrath of God. I commend Yahaya Bello for his maturity it is unusual for an Ebira man to be cool n patient n watching with keen interest without even complaining. I see a gud leader in u. As for Faleke he is really desperate and his willing to do anything to get it but God is more than u. My last word is that Yahaya Bello might be a young man but he has shown that he is more sensible than Faleke's and his followers. |
As part of efforts to resolve the political logjam caused by the sudden death
of Prince Abubakar Audu, in which Alhaji Yahaya Bello emerged governor-
elect of Kogi state, the state chairman of the APC, Haddy Ametuo has
disclosed that the Kogi State APC Reconciliation Committee has been
constituted and is due for inauguration next week in Lokoja
Speaking with DAILY POST in Abuja on Friday, Ametuo pointed out that
Audu’s death should unite Kogites rather than divide them. He consequently
called on Audu’s running mate, Hon James Abiodun Faleke to see what
happened as an act of God which is beyond anybody’s control.
“Late Audu’s death should unite Kogites which he stood for and I want to
call on Hon James Faleke to accept this as an Act of God so that together
we can build the State,” he noted.
Reacting to Faleke’s claim of his life being under threat, the APC Chairman
maintained that as a father of the party in the state, he can vouch that there
was no danger anywhere, stressing that governor-elect was a complete
gentleman who could hardly hurt a fly, hence he should be free as a political
family member of APC in Kogi State.
“I want to assure Hon. James Faleke and all Kogites that the governor-elect
is a gentleman that would never contemplate harming anybody for political
reasons. So Faleke should be free and go to sleep and as a member of Kogi
State political family he should be free,” he stated.
According to him, the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress
has done its best by invoking party supremacy in the appropriate manner
that would stand the test of time.
He expressed optimism that Kogi would experience a quantum leap in the
forthcoming APC-led government, noting that Bello as a forward looking
person would galvanize resources towards making sure that the programmes
of the party were executed.
“Bello is a forward looking person and from what he told the state recently,
he would mobilise resources towards development of Kogi State,” he
asserted. htpp://dailypostng/2015/12/18/kogi-apc-inaugurates-reconciliation-committee/ |
cktheluckyman:My Broda what Falake shld have done was to write officially to the party in which the party will withdraw his name n name another person as the deputy. As at the time of writing this post, Falake has not done that which means he still remains the party deputy flag bearer n deputy gov elect. Take note a candidate cannot withdraw himself without an official letter to the party n from the party to Inec. Faleke is just deceiving people with this deputy of a thing, he remains the deputy gov of the party legally as it stand except smth otherwise happen. |

[UPDATED] Tanzanian businessman beats Buhari, Adichie to Forbes Africa award Mohammed Dewji Simon Ejembi A Tanzanian businessman and former politician, Mohammed Dewji, has been named Forbes Africa Person of the Year 2015, ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Vice-President and Treasurer of the World Bank, Ms. Arunma Oteh; and famed author, Chimamanda Adichie, and Chairperson, African Union, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, were the other nominees. Dewji, who is the Chief Executive Officer of MeTL Group, was named person of the year at a ceremony in South Africa. The 40-year-old former member of the Tanzanian parliament had been named the 31 richest person in Africa by Forbes magazine in March with an estimated net worth of $1.25bn. “It gives me great pleasure to dedicate tonight’s award to the youth of Tanzania,” Dewji said while receiving the award. Despite missing the big honour, Oteh was handed the Impact in Leadership Award, while Adichie got the Special Recognition Award for her contribution to literature. Since the inception of the award in 2011, Nigerians have bagged the award three out of the five times in which it had been handed. The former Central Bank Governor and current Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, had received the maiden edition of the award. It then went to the Chief Executive Officer, Equity Bank in Kenya, Dr. James Mwangi, in 2012, after which Nigerians were honored with the award back-to-back. Former Ministers of Agriculture and current President of the African Development Bank, Akinwunmi Adeshina, received it in 2013; followed by Africa’s richest man and President, Dangote Group, Alh. Aliko Dangote, in 2014. The Person of The Year Award recognises the individual that has made a significant impact in business through economic growth by creating employment and spearheading innovation in the continent, having the most influence on the events of the year gone by. |
