I wonder why a state like kano can not utilise it's huge population for developmental purpose or than to collect allocation and win election. The North West especially must change it's ways of towards revenue generation. This is 21st century.

If you say that Tinubu’s proposed VAT reform will be better for states like Abia generating very little in VAT compared to states like Lagos, it means you fully understand this VAT reform, so this should be easy for you to answer.

In August 2024, Abia generated N663 million in VAT but they received N5 billion after the VAT revenue was shared among all states.

Since the new VAT proposal is supposed to help states like Abia receive more VAT revenue, tell me, for the month of August, rather than generate only N663 million, how much (estimated) would Abia have generated if companies had paid VAT to Abia and not their headquarters in Lagos? And how much would Abia have received after sharing the revenue among states based on this new proposal?

Since you fully understand this VAT reform and claim that this new bill helps states generate and earn more VAT revenue, please answer this simple question.
