PoliticsRe: Release Nnamdi Kanu Now, Ekweremadu Tells FG, Says He Has No Problem With Buhari by ozoebuka1(m): 11:18am On Dec 23, 2016
duni04:
Please stop spreading false information. Nobody is unlawfully detaining Kanu. He's being accused of treasonable felony. Treasonable felony is not a bailable offence. Justice John Tsoho denied him bail, Justice Nyako also denied him bail. Even when Kanu appealed to the Federal Court of Appeal, the appeal panel upheld the ruling of the Federal high court denying him bail. Kanu has multiple passports and dual citizenship and is thus a flight risk.
If you love Kanu so much get him a good lawyer, not those quacks that keep fighting themselves over who will represent Kanu in court.
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/203316-nnamdi-kanu-heads-ecowas-court-blames-buhari-bail-denial.html read that and don't quote me again since you've been arguing based on hearsay....I don't know why we can't ask Google simple questions like "was nnamdi kanu actually granted bail formerly " and save ourselves from looking foolish and ignorant.

From your comments, you're only trying to hide under the carpet but it's crystal clear that you're sympathetic to the course of these never-do-wells. The fact remains that these idiots have for a long time distorted the peace of the society, disrupted business activities and caused needless loss of lives of able bodied youths whom like these ones have tolled same trend. Should one of them go down by bullets from the security operatives, same IPOB animals will come here to claim mass murder by Buhari government. I am not the spoke person for APC or the ruling government but truth be told, some beings are safer dead!!!
believe you me, it's only when I see comments like yours that am always forced to support those guys... why would you kill anybody just because of a frivolity like a peaceful protesthuh your comment on this biafra issue is filled with hate and I wonder how you could want any reasonable human to share a country with a person That's ready to kill people just because of a protest....bros, your hatred for igbo people stinks to high heavens... I can categorically tell you that your patriotism to this nation is hate-motivated and not goodwill-motivated..

I am from the igbo speaking part of delta state but I am of the opinion that the combined team of both the Nigerian army, airforce, navy, NCD, and the police should as a matter of urgency release gun shots at the them with immediate effect. The world is tired of never-do-well like these fools who always make themselves veritable tools in the hands of these greedy politicians to cause civil and social unrest. The police should simply use these street urchins to test-run their newly recruited constables on target aiming. Period!
Note: Quote me at your own peril!!
sorry to say but u are uncivilized and barbaric "you might even be a christian," so, because of a simple protest, thats why u are wishing your "supposed" countrymen these adversities...chai!!! did u watch
at the protest staged against the south Korean president just because she shared a state matter with a close friend? if you where there, you would've asked for their heads I suppose!!! Let's live with love and empathy so that black nations can prosper.

Wail on bro.. wail on
Power improved when this administration started and some people felt it is the right time to blow up the pipe lines and many rejoiced.
Foolishness at it peak
I guess they never knew that they are blowing up our common heritage
Now we don't hv light and are parents are being owed salaries
The better truth is
BOMB ALL D PIPES YOU WANT, PMB And his FAMILY WILL NEVER FEEL THE (DIRECT) IMPACT.
Buhari should correct all the anomalies so that no one will venture bombing pipe lines. riots, revolts, etc arise only when the government of the day is underperforming... I'm not supporting those that were bombing our pipelines but I will still blame Buhari for giving them reasons to bomb the pipelines.

GMBuhari:
Being a wailer is a choice

Two things I noticed, you said your area, meaning other areas have power did Buhari specifically target your area for blackout Hahahahahahahahah, unless Dasuki, Jonathan or Dokubo lives there, highly unlikely
But then it takes genius level mumurity to even conceive the idea that the President is targeting your area

Have you complained to power authorities? I guess your answer is no

and when your brothers were bombing pipelines, I bet you were applauding them for doing a good job since you believe violence and oil is the language Nigeria understands

It's just cause and effect

Siddon dere dey roast, seun go transfer light come your area
everything is not politics bro... the only people having light in my area now are those using "33" I'm just complaining here just to see if someone could just give me a hint on why it has been so and not for any political reasons so, chillax bro.

Good so the solution is to go to war since mandate is a waste of time.

You guys by the way have no moral compass . You just lie for fun. 3 million of you diedhuh How many were you before the war and what is the source of this figure?

You lost people because of pride and fooolishness of Ojukwu starting a war that was lost from day one and fooolishly refusing to surrender in time

Goodluck with the second edition of the war since you are entitled to feel hatred
so, does the foolishness of one person justify the killing of others? Nothing can justify the way Nigerian government killed the people of old eastern region...like adolf hitler to the Jews like Nigerian govt to the old eastern people and if you still justify the massacre of the eastern people By Nigerian government due to a "single man's foolishness " then I pray that a single man's foolishness from your region brings death to your kinsmen and may the world justify it without seeing reasons with your kinsmen.

I wouldn't advocate for the Nigerian nation to be broken if the constitution could be changed in totality with bias and sentiments, but you and I are aware that that could never happen thus I pray for the peaceful breakup because that will be the only thing that will rekindle the spirit of nationality amongst the people of niger area.

One of the major problems in Africa is lack of self-criticism. From the picture of the object in discourse, there is no iota of screw that is manufactured in Nigeria talk less invented.
lie...the biggest problem in Africa is "over criticism "...the whites criticize us, Asians criticize us and we also criticize ourselves the most. why can't we make a turn and start appreciating ourselves even when others are criticize us... according to psychology "operation conditioning By BF Skinner" reward improves more than punishment, thanks.

PoliticsRe: Magu: SERAP Drags Senate To UN; "Allegations Against Him Politically Motivated" by ozoebuka1(m): 12:38pm On Dec 18, 2016
KingOvoramwen1:
The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has petitioned Mr Michel Forst, UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights defenders over alleged “intimidation, harassment and unfair treatment of Mr Ibrahim Magu, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria apparently working with other agencies of government to use a purported security report the Senate knew or ought to know is baseless and politically motivated to reject Mr Magu’s confirmation as substantive chairman of the EFCC.” SERAP said that “by relying on a report they knew or ought to know is baseless and politically motivated to reject Mr Magu’s appointment as chairman of the EFCC, the Senate of Nigeria has flagrantly violated his right to a fair hearing, and is implicitly working to weaken, intimidate, harass and ultimately undermine the independence and freedom of action of the EFCC in its efforts to combat high-profile official corruption.” Ibrahim Magu The organization urged Mr Forst to “urgently intervene in this matter to stop further intimidation and harassment of a prominent anti-corruption campaigner and human rights defender.” In the petition dated 16 December 2016 and signed by SERAP executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni the organization said that, “SERAP believes that the action by the Senate of Nigeria and other agencies of government apparently working with them undermines and violates Nigeria’s international obligation to respect, protect, promote and fulfil the human rights of the citizens, which inevitably creates a duty for the government to establish efficient and independent anti-corruption mechanisms.” The petition reads in part: “apart from the fact that the allegations against Mr Magu are baseless and politically motivated, the Senate of Nigeria flagrantly denied him constitutionally and internationally guaranteed right to a fair hearing by not providing him an opportunity to respond to the allegations against him. The Senate confirmation hearing therefore amounts to a nullification, or destruction of the very essence of the fundamental principles of fair hearing.” “The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria relying on a baseless and politically motivated report declined to confirm the appointment of Ibrahim Magu as substantive chairman of the country’s leading anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The Senate claimed that its action was based on a purported security report forwarded to it by the State Security Service.” “But SERAP has reviewed the security report, which primarily alleged that sensitive and unauthorised EFCC official documents were found in Mr. Magu’s home. However, SERAP is aware that this allegation was part of the conspiracy to harass Mr Magu and frustrate his anticorruption work, as he was unjustly detained for three weeks. Following investigation by the police authorities in 2008, Mr Magu was subsequently cleared of any wrongdoing, and in fact promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police.” “The report also incorrectly stated Mr Magu currently occupies a residence rented for N40 million at N20 million per annum and paid for by allegedly corrupt person. But SERAP’s finding shows that the property was in fact paid for by the Federal Capital Development Administration.” “SERAP thus believes that the purported rejection by the Senate of Nigeria of Magu’s appointment as the chairman of EFCC is politically motivated and in bad faith and part of a persistent move by the National Assembly of Nigeria including the Senate and the House of Representatives and other agencies of government apparently working with them to undermine the ongoing fight against corruption which Mr Magu is leading, and invariably, the independence and freedom of action of anticorruption agencies including the EFCC.” “SERAP is deeply concerned by intimidation, harassment and politically motivated allegations against one of the most efficient, focused, consistent and hardworking anti-corruption campaigners in our country. These politically motivated allegations are not only to victimize him as the head of EFCC but also to harass, intimidate and frustrate the work of other anti-corruption and human rights campaigners and institutions in the country.” “SERAP considers Mr Magu to be a human rights defender within the provisions of the UN Declaration on the Right and Responsibility of Individuals, Groups and Organs of Society to Promote and Protect Universally Recognized Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of 1998 (UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders).” “SERAP therefore urges you to urgently assert your mandates to put pressure on the Senate of Nigeria and other agencies of government apparently working with them to end continuing harassment and intimidation of Mr Magu by immediately withdrawing any politically motivated allegations against him. We also urge you to send a strong message to the Senate of Nigeria and other agencies of government that the campaign of intimidation and harassment against human rights and anti-corruption campaigners is unacceptable, and will not be tolerated.”
